Much like his companions, Shanty fails to find a way out of his coral prison this time around. Nonetheless, the warlock commands his ethereal summon to approach the barred exit {BQ-29} and lend a tentacle to Bubbles' efforts. A bit too eager to get out of the room, Shanty commands the tentacle to whip at its quarry a bit too early and it simply misses the target.
This time, even Bubbles becomes locked in place once more. Barnacle, Shanty, Gulp, Riptide and Sandlot are still restrained from the last round. Undertow is the only free part member at the moment.
(Everyone can take their next turn. Unlike the Entangle spell, if you are caught by the LAIR effect, you can choose to use your action to make either an athletics or an acrobatics check or another check based on a different creative solution {DC 18} to try to escape it. The spell would normally only allow this attempt with a STR check.)

Just one more push and he would be right by the "door"! It did not seem you could break your way from the grapple of the rocks but Gulp tried to weasel out. acrobatics check 9
Even more pointless than before, as if corals learned his tactic by now.

"So this is what it is like" he says as he flexes his muscles to break free of coral to continue his battering on the door, and is somewhat surprised that he could not easily break free, determined to focus a little more seriously on the next attempt

Barnacle moves past anger straight towards the bargaining stage, his voice becoming slightly whiny and petulant.
"C'mon, why do you have to be like this? We're not hurting anyone, Gar isn't even here, he'd never know. Plus he's got a talking trident... And a crab claw... Surely you could help us out?"
Finding that pulling against the grip of the coral to be the only thing that briefly frees him, Barnacle continues to thrash against his restraints.

Undertow lets out a long, frustrated groan at the sheer stubborness of the coral. But, while he had half a mind to shout at Sandlot, asking if he might call upon miracle to perhaps dispel any latent enchantment on the coral, the thought gets promptly dismissed in favor of the Barnacle approach. Or, well, what the elder Locathah would've so done eventually, which would be to assure them Gar would never know and that they should let them go (turn order being what it is and all that). But, to do so knowing as well that his word(Undertow) might be actually understood and placate the coral enough to free Riptide.
If this didn't work though, then it was back to ordering Riptide to try and slip free again. And if it did, Riptide was to go all out towards escaping the room, slipping through whatever opening remained that Bubbles made or found in the door.
Movement(Undertow): To BP-22.(if Riptide is freed)
Bonus Action(Undertow): Command Riptide to try and Slip Free(if Not): 19. (If successful, Bubbles will swim to BP-27. If above check unnecessary, still swimming to BP-27 and then Dash to BS-31, through the smaller opening)
Meanwhile, its back to giving flexing out the good scholar's try for Sandlot. Regardless of success or not, it after the effort he'd begin to consider listening to the more nature aspect of Eldath in the future. To listen, and truly perhaps be freed of the weight of past sins that he never truly let go...
In the rush I forgot to relay info to the group, so as he gets snagged himself he does take the moment to call out "Hey - there are some gaps here, so looks like we can get through"

"Bubbles the Barbarian" (Locathah - Lvl 9) - Locathah Rising; Shai'ere Delatete (Githyanki Monk - Lvl 9) Rrakkma (deceased - MindFlayer); Saros Rockfoot (Deep Gnome Diviner - Lvl 5) - The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above; Tagret (Goliath Barbarian - Lvl 2) - Tales of Faerun;
Although Bubbles is unable to promptly release himself from his restrains, he is not idle. Projecting his voice, he informs his companions that there is some space for those who are willing to attempt an escape before the entire blockage is cleared.
Unlike the barbarian, Shanty is able to loosen the coral and move again. The bard moves closer to the exit {BR-28} and commands the ethereal tentacle to attack the coral again. This time, the tentacle is successful, freezing and breaking a considerable portion of it. (Coral Obstruction takes 7 cold damage.)
Gulp faces similar troubles and is kept restrained for now.
Barnacle takes a different approach, bargaining with the coral to let him go. It is uncertain if it is his plea or his strength that ultimately does it, but the fighter finds himself free once again. He rushes forward {BP-24}.

Undertow too continues speaking to the coral. This time, he feels the coral retract somewhat, leaving just enough space for Riptide to slide to freedom... at least for now. Master and beast both move toward the exit, with the octopus moving much faster than the locathah. Following his orders, Riptide even tries to dash though the openings pointed out by Bubbles.
Riptide is the first member of the team to make its way to the other side of the barricade, albeit not unscathed (Riptide takes 5 slashing damage, already halved.)
Perhaps feeling inspired but the octopus, Sandlot flexes his elderly muscles and breaks the coral arms holding him. The cleric then moves closer to the exit as well.

LAIR ACTION
The magic forcing the coral to grow acts up again, trying to retrain the party members that are not currently restrained. Riptide is outside the chamber, so it is exempt:
-> STR saving throw vs. a chamber-wide environmental effect similar to the Entangle spell {DC 18}:
Sandlot, Shanty, and Undertow are locked in place once more. Bubbles and Gulp are still restrained from the last round.

Either the coral restraining him was much weaker than he thought or that incredibly useful tentacle was much stronger ... well, than he thought. Anyway, the monk was free and finally got to do something. His first move was to get the hells out of the place or help the tentacle to make the opening bigger, but for battering coral there there was the magical tentacle. Gulp himself attacked the corals around Bubbles and Shanty:
Coral around Bubbles attack with the dagger: Attack: 22 Damage: 10
Getting a little annoyed at the restraint, Bubbles gives it his all this time, with a little roar of effort that seems to work this time, eliciting another smug smile at some of the others that have been restrained for some time "It's not so hard to break free...see"
Undertow bites back a curse as he's once again trapped by the coral. Now just barely keeping his cool, he orders Riptide to keep an eye out for any strange activity beyond the doorway. In the meantime, the Ranger once again tries to appeal to the coral, commending them for keeping up the "act", but requesting once again that they let him go to continue about his way.
Bonus Action(Undertow): Command Riptide to try and Keep a Look OUt: 17. (Riptide will also move to BN-35 before beginning its check.)
"Will try again, this one.... But... Not as young as used to be, most of us are.... Barnacle..." Sandlot chuckles despite the dire feeling situation. The more time they wasted trying to get out after all, the more time Gar had to likely accelerate his plans of domination. It is with such fresh fears in mind that the aged Locathah tried to push and flex himself free of the magically warped coral.
Barnacle takes a non-silvered javelin from his back and attempts to jab the tip into seam within the coral wall that he hopes might denote the outline of the door.
(OOC Hoping to use the javelin as a lever to hopefully make prising the door open easier. If it gives advantage, great... 25. If Barnacle is only really allowed the one skill check, he'll go with athletics, he's a locathah of action!)
Bubbles flexes his muscles once more and, this time, his coral cage breaks into many pieces. He finds a jest among it all, and is even a bit smug about it.
Barnacle moves closer to his barbarian companion {BT-29} and tries to assist him with keen eyes and some calculated prying of the coral barrier. He tries it for a few seconds before realizing that a delicate approach might only be effective over the long run...
