Sandlot cannot help but marvel at the sphere for awhile, forgetting about all else in the process. And like a moth to the flame, he swam lazily after Gulp as if hypnotized by the light source. Once his fellow Locathah stopped however, Sandlot blinks twice and visibly shakes off the lapse in thought. "Strange, that was... Wonder, I do... but..." He trailed off chortling to himself, then swam about to stand beside and peer within the illuminated area.
".... Sorry, this one is, Undertow.... Said something you did, yes? A...." Sandlot rubs at his head for a moment. "Ahhh... Yesh.... Yesh... Calm waters, we should seek. But difficult... impossible, maybe... Perhaps... Perhaps though, I think, way forward in ships apart of mountain." He nods to himself sagely as if having imparted some great wisdom. "Trust I shall though, you, far swimmer. But before that, a boon of... of Peacekeeper." Sandlot clasped his hands together and closes his eyes until they are the narrowest of slits, then pulled them apart sharply, creating a small current... with a will of its own.
Sandlot then makes the motion of pushing something forward, sending the mysterious thing flowing over and around Undertow, Shanty, Bubbles, and Gulp. "There.... For a time(10 minutes) a child of Eldath... watches over... all of you. But... stray not too, too far... from each other... the child limits, this one warns." He said, waggling his fingers at the four, only to break out into another horse chuckle. While some get used to the strange, intangible, and nigh invisible new companion, Sandlot swam over to Undertow to pat the Ranger on his shoulder and apply a little magical guidance.
Emboldened Bond:
1st-level Peace Domain feature
You can forge an empowering bond among people who are at peace with one another. As an action, you choose a number of willing creatures within 30 feet of you (this can include yourself) equal to your proficiency bonus. You create a magical bond among them for 10 minutes or until you use this feature again. While any bonded creature is within 30 feet of another, the creature can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw it makes. Each creature can add the d4 no more than once per turn.
"Together staying is idea being good indeed," Nodded Gulp and immediately shook his head - Sandlot's exotic way of wording simple sentences was contagious. "I mean, let's keep together. Not sure we can get through the ships, though, all entrances are overgrown already. See any hole anywhere? Say, on that ship." Gl'Ulp swam down to the closest ship gesturing others to follow. If that ship did not have any promising leads, then Gulp was going to move to the next one - the idea was to find the entrance while keeping the distance from dangerous currents. (Another Perception roll if needed: 15 )
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Barnacle will shake his head at some of his more eccentric companions, keeping his trident at the ready as he slowly begins to lead the group or attempts to do so. While he swims ahead, the veteran warrior keeps his eyes moving to continually scan his surroundings.
Bubbles, taking the lead from the senior fighter, points his pike ahead and follows Barnacle, swimming 5 feet behind and to his right (avoiding any strong currents though)

The group comes to the realization that if they are to investigate the Darkening, they will have to brave their way into it. Once he snaps out of his apparent Driftglobe-induced hypnosis, Sandlot asks for a moment or two while he delivers divine blessings onto some of his companions. Trusting Undertow to find a path for the group, the cleric bestows onto the ranger a temporary double blessing.
Despite these preparations, Barnacle decides not to dally any longer and takes point himself. Bubbles is the first to notice, following the experienced fighter closely. Shanty is right behind him, humming a tune to keep his own nerves down. After a bit of joking around, Gulp and Sandlot also follow, leaving Undertow to bring the rear. After a moment's thought, Sandlot slows down a bit and allows Undertow to overtake him. The cleric seems more comfortable in the caboose.
The shifting currents are immediately noticeable once the group is inside the Darkening. Gulp's spherical trinket helps with visibility, but not with the sudden shifts in buffeting water. The monk keeps an eye out for any ships that might prove to be their way into the mountain and believes he spots one that does not look as overtaken by coral as the others (surely a more recent wreck). He points it to Barnacle but only a moment too late. Another sudden shift in the underwater current catches Barnacle by surprise and the fighter finds himself forced to swim in a direction other than the one he intended. Bubbles instinctively gives chase. Following Sandlot's instructions to stay together as to not forgo their Emboldened Bond, the party lets themselves be carried away for some time, before regaining control.
At last, the party reaches the coral mountain, albeit quite a ways off the ship Gulp had spotted. From this distance, you can more easily tell that the formation is comprised of recently sunken ships covered by a multitude of crunchy coral shells. Near the mountain, the currents are not as strong, so the party can relatively painlessly find their way to Gulp's preferred spot. Nonetheless, you wasted some time in the approach and, should there be any other living creatures nearby, they would surely have noticed the fumbling group of locathah.
After some time, you reach the wreck Gulp had pointed out. The top deck of this protruding ship is completely exposed to the ravages of the open sea, though it tilts at a precarious forty-five degrees, with the aft end sunk deep into the surrounding coral. The masts have been completely torn off the ship.
Bubbles' knowledge of ships come in handy (proficiency in water vehicles). The barbarian can tell that this specific ship is a caravel and, therefore, the metal grate affixed to the floor of the upper deck is their sure-most way directly into the lower deck (investigation check needed to analyze the grate). There is also a set of closed doors that would lead into the captain's lodgings. The more perceptive of you (passive perception equal to or higher than 15) also notice a gaping hole in the hull of the caravel, at the fore.
Undertow, Sandlot, Gulp, and Bubbles also notice a sudden shift in the murky waters behind the group. A sense of danger fills the waters and, although you avoid being surprised, you feel like you are being watched.
The sea seems to rustle around Shanty, and he glances around nervously. Without changing his tune, he squints in the direction of the wreck, his sight seeming to change momentarily.

Gl"Ulp gulped "We are not alone here."With the light globe wrapped in the net he resembled an anglerfish, unfortunately, a very exposed from every side, like everyone else around him. "Let's dive into this hole?" It was more of a question than an offer, personally Gulp had nothing against skill refreshing and sort of a test fight to get this feeling of the group. The problem was - they could not see the enemy yet to judge if the fight was even possible.
Barnacle pauses and stays quiet as the others point out that there is an enemy near by. With little else to do is moves regroup with them, sticking close as to not be separated by whatever may be after them.

Being aware of the general layout of the ship, Bubbles does Investigation the grate (13) eagerly, wanting to impress but will turn away in favour of a battle should the danger coalesce into something more threatening, but knowing about the grate is about as good as it gets as he fumbles around, prodding it with his pike, trying to understand how it might open before giving up in frustration "This leads below as well, but that hole looks easier....unless one of you can work out how to move this stupid metal grate"
Bubbles will still take his lead from Barnacle
OOC: OMG....I really hope Bubbles is getting the bad rolls out of the way early
Sandlot kept calm despite the eerie feelings creeping up the spine. Calm and observant while others worked about on ways inside, but subtly so. Between Bubbles frustration and G'ulp's concern however, Sandlot gestures to the hole. "Not much, that is. But easier, for sure. Time against us, this one thinks... worries."He rasp, turning his attention more fully on the group. "Waste not more. Come what may, we face together. But wisely so. Inside, we limit angle... of attack... Barnacle.. Bubbles.. if you would."The aged locathah gestures to whichever hole is pointed out, and urges the pair to lead the point.
Again, Sandlot intended to bring up the rear, but less so at the leisure pace as last time. Once all were inside and relatively safe, he'd worry about the next step from there...

Each locathah reacts to the news of imminent danger differently. Bubbles tries to impress his companions by building on top of his understanding of the ship layout, but is left frustrated by the unmoving grate. If it is any consolation, simply getting closer to the grate reveals that it has only just begun to corrode, which is a sign that this ship hasn't been here long.
Shanty also tries to learn more about the group's surroundings. He activates his penchant for magic-sensing and tries to identify nearby sources. Apart from the party's own magical trinkets, the bard picks up the faint sense of necromancy coming from the lower levels of the wrecked ship.
One does it calmly while the other does it in a more agitated manner, but both Sandlot and Gulp point out the hole on the side of the ship and begin to make their way there. Shanty's warning gives them pause.
More concerned about the impending danger, Barnacle simply stays close to the others and ready to strike. Undertow also stays close.
It is then that the movements in the turvy water get more noticeable. Before the group can make their way into the hull, they are assaulted by a giant shark and an accompanying foursome of sahuagins. The driftglobe allows their shapes to be recognized from 20 feet away. Two of them are heavily armored, while the other two seem equipped for lighter combat.

Appearance of sahuagin changed everything - many would get out of the shark's way for the saving time sake if not out of fear, but mortal enemies of any intelligent underwater life provoked only one reaction - attack!
Gulp made a sudden move as if tripping over something and the light globe dropped to the ship below, illuminating the scene from down there. ((Can we consider it free action?)) While eyes of the enemy (hopefully) involuntarily followed the light, he with a complex trajectory like a huge bumblebee swam to the closest lightly armed sahuagin (J6) and with much delight landed a few strikes on the unprotected head of the monster. (Or tried to - that's the thing with technique, the aim can be off sometime)

Pike +2 Attack: 30 Damage: 27 plus Divine Fury radiant 10 (includes AD, -5 to hit, +1d4 to hit (rage +3, damage +10))
and then stab again at it if it is still alive or redirect at the Light Sahuagin at J12
and once finished attacking, then he will swim to L13 and drop slightly below the deckline to force them to come to him for any attacks
Note: Attacks against Bubbles are with advantage (Reckless attack) for the rest of the round, but he is resistant to bludgeoning, piercing, slashing damage (Rage)

Shanty hisses at the sudden appearance, and recoils. At the same time, a tentacle writhes up from the depths and latches itself onto the same target’s leg. The sea itself seems to rumble faintly, almost in the sound of a faint laugh.

Bubbles swims forward to meet the enemies before they can get to him. With bubbles escaping his mouth as he screams in Rage, the bulky locathah thrusts his enchanted pike at one of the heavily armored sahuagins. The creature fails to raise its shield in time, and the metal plate protecting its chest gives way to the pointy pike far too easily. A pulse on holy light bursts within the wound, adding insult to injury. (Heavy Sahuagin#2 takes 52 magical piercing and radiant damage.)
Noticing that the experienced enemy is not about to fall just yet, Bubbles twists and yanks his pike out of the wound he just created, intent of opening it eve more. (Heavy Sahuagin#2 takes 19 magical piercing damage.)
Taking full advantage of his reach, Bubbles swims a bit farther away, sinking 5 feet on top of being 10 feet away from the closest enemy. One of the sahuagins (the nearby lighter armored one) swings an awkward-looking pole arm at Bubbles, not wasting the opportunity the locathah handed to him:

Knowing we won't be able to look away from the sahuagins' interference, Gulp moves toward the pair of enemies not already engaged by Bubbles. The monk does so, somehow, in a simultaneously awkward and swift manner that leaves the sahuagins guessing from which direction Gulp is about to strike.
Even before the Driftglobe hits the deck, Gulp is already landing a couple of palm strikes to the more lightly armored sahuagin's head, the second of which is aimed to stun. The strike achieves its purpose, making it easier for Gulp to follow it up with another two palm strikes. (Light Sahuagin#1 takes 32 magical bludgeoning damage.)
Not wanting to leave himself open for retaliation from the other nearby enemies, Gulp underwater-stumbles his way back to a spot amidst his companions.
Sandlot cannot help but marvel at the sphere for awhile, forgetting about all else in the process. And like a moth to the flame, he swam lazily after Gulp as if hypnotized by the light source.
-> Glaive-like Pole Arm: Attack: 20 Damage: 17
The attack cuts Bubbles' back just before he turns to face the enemies again. (Bubbles takes 8 slashing damage, already halved.)
I did forget about Brutal Critical damage, so should add another 3 to the first attack. (Too many extra things to consider)
