Rova watches Dangar gather the giants and hounds, wondering if he is simply going to pile them up somewhere and search them for anything important but instead a fire is set.
"I thought it might be useful to check them or grab their weapons! Now we just have a raging fire." Rova says in confusion, tucking her axe back into her belt. With a sigh, she turns back to the others and gives them a questioning look.
"What do we do now? The giants were simply a small obstacle in our mission," She says, holding her spear in one hand.

Goggles is relieved that the battle is over. He stands up, unharmed, and says 'That wasn't too tricky at all! I say that now we've got the ingredients and our giant friend and her family have gone off to safety in the mountains, it' safe for us to head back to the River Shining Tavern and reap our reward!'
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"If you need hands and spells to finish the usurper Invido, contact me. I'm happy to feed his eyes to my owl." (Goodbye, Ignis. Goodbye, babies!)(Ah, I want to play with them again. They're so cute!)
After bidding farewell to the giant family, Lucy turns back to her friends. "Danger! I told you, they are fireproof! You're wasting our time and loot!" Thenshe mutters to herself, "I am curious if fire giants can be burned after their death, though..."
But Lucy is not very interested in the giants' bodies and their equipment. The elf draws an elven rune and conjures other magical steeds. "Artemis, go and find a wagon or something. I had a nice exercise, and I'm hungry. I don't want to waste my appetite on lame rations."
She casts *Phantom Steed* to get two more horses.
Artemis looks for a wagon that can carry them all.
It is easy enough to return to the River Shining Tavern, where Kaga and Jacque are relieved to see all. "I hope you procured the ingredients? And all is well?"Kaga asks hopefully.
"We brought back the ingredients you asked for, but things didn't go very well. Your friend died," Lucy says bluntly to the two men. "His death was avenged, though. You should listen to the details from my friends. I'm good at remembering things but bad at explaining them." She then steps aside, letting the other adventurers take over.
Dangar grunts, "Yeah it was more adventurers. They came over to kill the kids, and we couldn't let that happen. Adventurers gotta pay the price for terrible behavior!"
Dangar then goes in search of the dead adventurers. He uses Mold Earth to dig them up, stabs each one three times, then puts them back. He dusts off his hands and nods, a promise made and kept.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"
Goggles nods and says 'Arthur was housing a giantess and her children in his homestead. The previous adventurers you sent attacked her and Arthur was caught in the crossfire. The giantess did kill the adventurers, but she is a good person. We then had to fight back some more giants that were after her before she could safely leave. The homestead is now empty, but like the rest of the party says, we got the ingredients!'
Kaga frowns and sighs, "That is a deep loss. Arthur will be missed." He wiped a tear from the corner of his eye. "Then let us remember him, and all good people who have been lost so needlessly. Wait in the dining area, and we will eat and feast together in memory of Arthur and all our lost friends." He nodded with a small smile. "And don't forget to to invite the children."
While you get settled and invite some children, Kaga prepares a feast fit for heroes, with Jacque laying the spread out on a very large round table (the kind that spins in the middle!) allowing everyone to eat family-style (so large bowls and dishes as opposed to personal plates), including his famous Stumblenoodles. There are many other dishes he prepares as well, if there is something you wanted he would surely make it for you.
Everyone who partakes in the feast gains the following:
- Inspiration
- A pack of dried fruit that works like the Goodberry spell (3 uses)
- A small bottle of juice that works as an elixir of health
If you eat the Stumblenoodles you also gain the following boon:
When a creature you can see within 30 feet of you moves, you can use your reaction to give the creature the prone condition. Allies of the target who are within 30 feet of the target must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw or have the stunned condition until the end of their next turn as they laugh uncontrollably at their friend’s misfortune. Once used three times, the charm vanishes from you.
What will happen to Ignis and her plans to reclaim her throne? What about Arthur's family and homestead? These questions remain for now, but perhaps might be answered someday! This is the end of our story together though, so farewell adventurers, may your days be filled with wonder and your bags filled with loot!
Goggles celebrates the meal greatly with all his newfound friends, and looks forward to the future of his adventuring career, his mind bubbling with all sorts of possible food related adventures. But, as for the time being, he just sits back, and enjoys the good food and company.
Thank you very much Gnomes for running the game, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and thank you to everyone else for being such great party members, I look forward to potentially playing in a Play By Post campaign with you again in the future, whether that's individually or all together as a party again!
Rova is glad to have returned safely with her friends and even more glad when Kaga offers them a feast. After the harrowing night they had with all the fighting, everyone was looking forward to food, Rova included.
(glad I got to play with you guys, thanks for running this game and everyone playing :D)
Dangar joyously partakes of the feast! Everything looks so great! He glad the children are safe and fed and his companions are also whole and enjoying each others company. A good day indeed.

As the feast begins, Lucy orders three plates of Stumblenoodles. She picks a table away from the other customers, beneath an oak tree, and lights two of the dishes with green flame before starting to eat her own. Some onlookers raise eyebrows at her peculiar behavior, while others with keen eyes are surprised to notice two additional shadows sitting beside the Elf, enjoying the meals.
When the children finish their food and start to play—always ending their meals before the adults—Lucy places her hand over a water bottle on the table. A mist seeps out from the gap between her palm and the bottle's neck, thick and milky like the fog that blankets the land of Barovia. Soon, the children might find two new playmates joining them: a girl in fancy red clothes and a boy clutching a stuffed bear. Any brief moments of puzzlement and confusion quickly dissolve into joyful games of tug-of-war and hide-and-seek.
Lucy watches her children play. There’s always a rage burning within her, a thirst for blood that never fades. She knows a new adventure will come to her soon. But for now, just now, in this peaceful moment, the Bladesinger closes her eyes, listening to the rustling leaves and the giggles of children, and she relaxes.

@everyone
A huge thank you to the DM for running this one-shot and to the players who participated with me. You all made it a great experience.
Lucy is one of my oldest and favorite characters, and I was thrilled to play her again. Thank you all once again, and I hope we meet again in another game. See you soon!

There isn't a wagon anywhere to be found, but it isn't a long walk, particularly if you are riding horses.
"It's ok, we'll load the ingredients on the horses! Let's get it back so we can feed the kids!"
Dangar begins to load up the needed materials, ignoring whether his fire worked or not.
