@DM
I am sorry if I’m mistaken, but since the Hellhound moved away from the stones, it seems like it should trigger around …8 Opportunity Attacks, as it was surrounded from all sides. Below are the rolls for those attacks, assuming I’m correct.
Opportunity Attacks:
Stone1 HP25, Attack: 26 Damage: 11
Stone2 HP25, Attack: 11 Damages: 8
Stone3 HP25, Attack: 8 Damage: 8
Stone4 HP25, Attack: 18 Damage: 4
Stone5 HP25, Attack: 13 Damage: 7
Stone6 HP25, Attack: 10 Damage: 7
Stone7 HP25, Attack: 22 Damage: 10
Stone8 HP25, Attack: 15 Damage: 6
Stone9 HP25, Attack: 18 Damage: 10
Stone10 HP25, Attack: 12 Damage: 5
And just in case the Hellhound survives all the attacks and somehow manages to blast all the stones, I’ve also included the Saving Throws for them. (Wow, calculating all of this in real time during a game would be a huge pain! No wonder this spell isn’t used as often, even though it’s so effective!)
I’ll hold off on posting Lucy’s next move until I know your decision. Her actions will depend on whether Hellhound A survives the Opportunity Attacks from the stones.
[Also, this might be a big ask, but could you maybe just note how many hit points the enemy's have lost next to their names in the initiative, like 'Giant A (-64)' or something like that? It's fine if you want to keep their hit point losses secret but I'd just like to get a rough idea of how wounded all the enemies are even though I don't know their hit point total so I can make an estimate of where's best to attack, since I'm a little bit lost when it comes to who to attack right now! Thanks!]
(@Lucy, the hound didn't move out of range with them, just turned around to use their breath weapon. I was imagining the stones swirling around them and he moved just to the side but not out of melee range with them, which shouldn't provoke opportunity attacks)
Corrin quickly grabs a javelin, only taking a second to aim it at giant A before throwing it at them.
(23 to hit, damage 6 piercing)
As soon as her hands are free, she casts Guiding Bolt again.
(23 to hit, damage 17 radiant)
=)
OOC: You can either throw a javelin OR cast the spell. It's ok, figuring out the different kind of actions can be confusing sometimes. You have movement, which is just various ways to get around - running, jumping, swimming. You have Bonus actions - off-hand attacks, particular spells (which will say bonus action), and special class features.
For your Action there are attacks - like throwing a javelin. There are most spells - like casting Guiding Bolt. There is also pretty much everything else you might think of as an action - unlocking a door, looking in a book, hiding, looking for something, shoving aside a boulder, grappling, ...
Physical things and Magic things often use your Action, so you have to choose which one you're going to do. On the plus side, you can do an attack and cast a Bonus Action spell. Some classes allow casting Cantrips instead of making a physical attack if they have multi or extra attack.
Maybe confusing but you'll get used to it.
In this case, because the spell did more damage, I would go with that.

By the way, the Hellhound's fire breath covers a 15-foot cone, as shown below. Wouldn't this only affect 3-4 of the stones?

(Thank you for explaining it to me, it certainly helps! I just have a question. Since I have two attacks per action does that mean I could attack twice but only with weapons, not spells? I think that’s the part that’s confusing me)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Let's set aside the 15-foot cone issue for now. We might need a battle map in the future, but let's not delay the game. I'll have all the stones take full damage.
**Animated Stones:**
Since the Hellhounds are still alive, I assume Lucy doesn't need to use her Bonus Action to retarget. The stones will continue attacking Hellhound A. Once it’s defeated, they’ll move on to Hellhound B, surrounding it from all directions and continuing their assault.
**Lucy’s Actions:**
- **Action:** Lucy casts a Level 3 *Magic Missile* at the remaining Hellhound.
- **Bonus Action:** She uses her free *Misty Step* to teleport outside the farmhouse.
- **Movement:** Lucy moves to the *Phantom Steed* she summoned earlier (#66), using half her movement (20 feet) to mount it. Assuming the horse is within range (With *Misty Step* (30 feet) and normal movement (20 feet), this should cover the distance. ), she then uses the *Phantom Steed’s* Dash Action to move 100 feet away from the giants, avoiding the area affected by the Planet Growth.
- **Free Action:** Before riding off, Lucy taunts Giant B, provoking it to chase after her. “Hey! I killed your dog! Why don't you come and get me!”
(I’ll roll Persuasion checks three times, assuming Lucy gains Advantage if the dog dies, and making use of Elven Accuracy, which allows rerolling one of the dice when she has Advantage on an attack roll using Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma.)
(Thank you for explaining it to me, it certainly helps! I just have a question. Since I have two attacks per action does that mean I could attack twice but only with weapons, not spells? I think that’s the part that’s confusing me)
OOC: Yes, Extra Attack means you get to stab things twice. Spells generally you only get one.
Again there are exceptions. You can cast Branding Smite as a Bonus Action then swing your greatsword and unleash the damage of the Branding Smite.
As a Paladin you can also use your spell slots to power Divine Strikes when you hit with melee weapons.

(Lucy, you use YOUR bonus action to command the stones, they don't get their own bonus action. Secondly, taunting via persuasion is an action in combat, which you've already taken casting magic missile. You can say something for flavor if you want, but you cannot roll a check since you already took an action. :) )

Hound B squeezes into the hole with a ferocious howl, and you can hear the shrieks and cries of the giant toddlers from down below as the hound attacks its quarry! The cries are stifled but a moment later...
Ignis looks back in horror toward the house hearing her children's cries, abandons the leader and leaps toward the giant holding the iron leash still, crying out in terror and pain....
I'm sorry to bring this up again, but as I mentioned in #188 and #191 (The stones will continue attacking Hellhound A. Once it’s defeated, they’ll move on to Hellhound B, surrounding it from all directions and continuing their assault.) Hellhound B was surrounded by Animated Stones.
While Stones 1 and 2 were destroyed by Giant A, Stones 3-10 are still alive. Shouldn't Hellhound B leaving their range provoke opportunity attacks from these remaining stones?
