The party heads back to their lent house without issue. The step inside and find that the previous owners (may they rest in peace) had a simple life. It is a studio-like home, with a kitchen and an open space that is both for entertaining people and sleeping.
The dining table has been replaced recently, and there are no beds here, only the scuffs on the floor where two beds had previously been. The door frame has been replaced, along with the door, and claw marks can be found along the windows and along the far wall. Otherwise, it is entirely ordinary.
Ayo and her crew are not present, and there is no sign that they had ever entered the building.
Before leaving, Morgan takes a moment to leave a message (on a scrap of paper if he can find one, otherwise carved lightly into a bad wall with his dagger).
It reads: «Sorry, we were late. Trying again tomorrow night. If you need us, you'll find us at the rented house near [approximate location]. Stay safe.»
As a signature, he quickly sketches his top hat beneath the message, thinking it might help him be remembered. He hesitates... Then he adds a small, stylized drawing of a rabbit beside it. The firbolg probably does not receive many visits from rabbitfolk, and Morgan suspects Ylis will be far more memorable than he is. He steps back, squints at his work for a second, then nods to himself. And he runs and runs after the others.
Looking around for sleeping accommodations and seeing none, Sky pulls the tent off his back and begins to pitch it in the open room with little furniture. After a couple of minutes, he looks around at the others. "Ummmm... one of you is welcome to share my tent if you like. It sleeps two, even with big ol' me as one of the two." He shrugs one shoulder, his apparently usual way of shrugging. "I know we don't know each other well yet, but as a paladin I can give you my word of honor that you don't have anything to worry about. With me. I mean, with this. You know what I mean. I hope."
OOC: Hopefully somebody knows how to secure a door?
Even as exhausted as she is, Ylis volunteers to take the first watch. She has work to do yet. Part of her rest/watch will be taken by spending time re-enchanting Randa's Medal of the Horizonback. She won't complete the work but she can get some of it done.
She reminds Luna to keep an ear out before giving her a kiss on the head.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randa is disconcerted by the lack of both Ayo's group and the firbolg and is tense because of it.....she sits last watch her eyes narrowed and suspicious.....
"Well, Sky, that wasn't the greatest pitch I ever heard, but... hey," he says, shrugging with both shoulders. "I call dibs on the last spot." Morgan winks and rushes into Sky's tent.
Once inside, he frees his bat-familiar to fly around and assist those remaining on watch. He watches the "symmetric bats" circling above and lets out a sigh... half-worried, half-confused, and a little bit amused by this new familiar-situation.
Half the sentries of the night are attempt to watch through the open door with heavy eyelids. Fortunately for all, the night passes without issue, the only sound in the night are the night shift of the Aurora Watch passing by.
DM: You attain a full Long Rest.
The sun rises, bringing with it a warmth as the sun casts its gaze on across Wildemount. The smell of something burning tickles your nose, though it is definitely distant. Ayo and her crew did not return in the night.
Ylis rubs the sleep out of her eyes and yawns. Looking around she sees that everything seems fine except for the absence of Ayo Crew. She's pretty sure they can take care of themselves - thinking otherwise would be worrying for nothing.
She gets to her feet and dashes in a circle around the room clapping her hands,
"Sun is shining, the weather is sweet Make you want to move your dancing feet To the rescue, here we are Stick together and we'll go far!"
Everybody gets 9 THP
*Whachoo!**sniff sniff* "Maybe we can check out the crematorium...Prolix is supposed to be there. I'm guessing that's what all the smokey is"
Sky has taken a moment to freshen up in the run-down shelter, washing up nicely. He doesn't seem fastidious or manic about cleanliness: just making sure he isn't an unpleasantly malodorous traveling companion.
"Who is Prolix?" Sky asks as he begins to break down the tent, with Morgan still inside of it. "Does Prolix know about the murder of Father Fon?"
"See we are in possession of an ancient artifact which is key to saving a lot of people. The thing is, we don't know a lot about it. It's like this amulet jewel thing, Randa has it," the bunny girl shrugs.
"We had heard in another town - Jakku, where we found it, and also got a tip that maybe more information could be found here." she shrugs again. "So far it looks like life, the gods, and fate have brought us here where there is a demon infestation. Hopefully it will blow them up without blowing up Randa."

"Who is Prolix?" Sky asks as he begins to break down the tent, with Morgan still inside of it. "Does Prolix know about the murder of Father Fon?"
Frekor aproaches Sky.
-Prolix is someone that Taskhand Thelyss asked us to investigate since he has been seen lurking near the Crematorium. He says that he is from the Allegiance of Allsight in Ank’Harel and has helped Taskhand, but he can't shake the feeling that something is off.- says the ranger. He then looks curiously at Sky.
-I don't know who Father Fon is, who is he?- asks with sincerity, wanting to connect with him and make him feel like part of the group.
"Father Fon is the kind man I was traveling with prior to arriving here," Sky explains to Frekor. "He is the one your group found murdered; you chased after the potential killer but they got away on foot after a lengthy chase." He still looks saddened when he mentions the man.
Sky nods in thanks to Frekor's explanation about Prolix. "It seems you have many tasks assigned to your group. Since we were unable to meet with Mr. Foghome, perhaps we can complete this other task today."

That surprised him and after the shock now realizing that the person he found dead was Father Fon, he lowered his gaze whith shame for not being able to capture the killer.
-I'm sorry I didn't get his killer.- says Frekor avoiding Sky's gaze.
- Is the woman that was with him ok?- asks now looking at him hoping an uplifting answer.
"Yeah, he's knocked out." Ylis relays to the party.
"We'll try again tomorrow night." With that she tries to lead the group to their new lodgings. She keeps her spear and the blade of Sky's halberd lit.
