Dead in Thay Game Thread

Where do you want to go next? 

Eiren you seem to be nominally in charge, do you have any plan?

Anyone else?

“According to the map, the ooze grottos can’t be far away,” says Eiren. “Do we have a key that gets us into that area? If not, we could backtrack and try and find whichever of the lich’s minions has a key. I think the grottos would be our best bet going forward; if we went through them we could reach the prisons. Could be that our allies are there, the ones the lady Syranna mentioned. And if not...we could always just set free whatever prisoners are there, try and create some mayhem for a distraction.” Eiren smiles as he imagines the scene.

"Might as well head west and see if we can get through," Corvin says.

 That does seem to be the case, at least for the Forest of Illusion. 

Also the key you have in attuned to The Forest of Recovery, not The Forest of Illusion. So you either have to find a new glyph, or go back to the Forest of Recovery and continue heading north through the little neck of land by the White Gate. 

Both Corvin and Baik search the bodies of the Hook Horrors, but don't find anything interesting. 

“Well if the way forward is blocked, then we need to retrace our steps until we find a key or another way to go”

"Right then." Eiren nods, and looks around briefly to regain his bearings. "Northeast we go then, and stay away from the trees. Seems like they have powerful illusory effects."

Oh. Ok, how do you know that? Look, I’m going to run up to a tree right now. And he does so. The nearest tree.

Baik make a Wisdom Save

Baik doesn't seem to have any symptoms. 

Time is the Doomvault:   0 Days 0 Hours 23 Minute (I estimate that it it took Baik to climb up and down the tree, and another minute to walk to and through the White Gate in the northeastern part of the cavern. 

(More to post, I don't have time right now to make coordinates for the new section, I will have to do it after I get home from work tonight. )

Yes Baik can see the body of the Hook Horror.

Eiren had a good theory about the trees, but after Baik climbs a tree and can see the dead bodies of the hook horrors he is confused and he isn't quite sure if his reasoning is sound. 

(Yes I need to keep track of the time and decided that putting it in non-combat posts would be both easier for me to keep track of the elapsed time, and also it will be useful for you the players as well. Xavier cast mage armor on himself at 0:00:05 so he (and I) know that his spell ends at 0:08:05)

(What he's saying is that you're saying "Time is the doomvault" instead of "Time in the doomvault")

(Yeah, I like it, and pointed it out earlier, so I thought it was a joke. It’s funny, but I want to know if it’s intentional)
