Dead in Thay Game Thread

“Should we wait and see how the battle turns out?” Whispers Eiren. 

I think maybe we should ask them to stop fighting?

"How do you plan on doing that, and why? For all we know they don't even know our language, why would they, we haven't met a single speaking creature so far."

"Safe to assume they're hostile, like every other free-roaming creature in here so far," whispers Eiren, "and that if they take each other out, then it's less of a task on our part."

We might observe for a minute but we could be discovered and lose our chance to surprise them.  

Nature check to see what the creatures are and if they can even kill each other if we wait 16

Between the two of them Xavier and Velmine know that they are seeing Trolls and know the following information about them

• They attack with a bite and two claws
• They can hunt their prey using smell
• They have the ability to regenerate health
• Acid or fire damage halts this regeneration ability

ok. Let’s wait. Baik readies a spell for when the other troll drops (this is Create Campfire) and steps backwards.

"Yes, of course, the trolls... They clearly did seem familiar..." Velmine is backing up while whispering to herself and thinking about the strategy. After she has her thoughts on track, she opens what she has in mind to the group. "So... If I can hit on the right spots, I'll just need someone to hit them with fire or acid to stop their regenerating skill... I could put them on fire myself, but I can only do it after I'm attacked, so it's not very reliable..."

I have a little fire I can use, since they regenerate, I think it will be a long wait to see if one can kill the other.  I think we either try to speak with them (call that plan b) or take the initiative and eliminate them (plan a!)

"Y'know... Most of the times, I'd do that... But this isn't the right situation to be risky, I'm still hurt, and I won't force the cleric spending more effort than he needs." She shows her arms, which are still very bruised. "And I still don't know why you all are so sure you can make peace with a troll, do any of you even know how to speak its language? I still have no idea if they know common... If they do, then maybe even I could talk with them, but for now, that's not the case."

Eiren holds the spell chill touch as he makes the symbols with his hands, readying the incantation for as soon as any other party member attacks.

After studying the trolls and discussing strategies for a couple of minutes, the female troll notices you and barks out a command in a language that no one understands and suddenly the battle stops.

I believe that Baik and maybe Eiren have readied actions 

Everyone roll initiatives, anyone who rolls higher than the trolls can act.

Trolls initiative 8

Baik lights up the Green Troll’s feet. (DC 16 dex save of 4)

he prepares himself.

Eiren releases the spell he has readied as soon as Baik casts his, targeting the troll he can see.

Chill Touch Attack: 22 Damage: 3

Eiren initiative: 21

He then puts two arrows into the same troll, hoping that the magic did its job of preventing these wounds from closing.

Longbow Attack: 26 Damage: 12 piercing 

Longbow Attack: 15 Damage: 11 piercing 

As a bonus action, he will begin his bladesong dance, stepping forward as he does so to protect the others.

 Please provide targets information like T1, T2 or T3. Trees provide 3/4 cover and for the purpose of Create Bonfire probably blocks sight of the ground. I believe that from where Eiren is all 3 trolls are blocked by trees, Baik can see T3 and T1, but only T3 is within range. 

Initiative 17

Xavier moves to E10 and casts melf’s minute meteors cuasing 6 tiny meteors to float around his head and he launches 2 of them at M10.  Both T2 and T3 need to make 2 dex 16 saving throws or take 8 and 4 fire damage.  Half damage on a save
