Eiren give me a Strength check, that is how far you can throw the ration. Let me know which square you throw it into it within that range.
As Eiren throws a dried piece of meat all the weird birdlike creatures fly over and fight over the scrap. After a couple of seconds it it gone and all eight heads turn towards where the party was.
At this point I think everyone should roll initiatives (looks like Baik and Velmine already did)
Lizard birds initiative 21
Anyone with a higher initiative can act (Corvin can make a move action before rolling initiative, if in response to Xavier's words.)
As this is possibly going to be an aerial battle I will need Qu'oth position and height along with everyone else's

Eiren only wants throws the meat around 8 yards or so, to around R28 (I can’t tell where the numbers and letters are exactly...) before backing up quickly.
Eiren Initiative 24
Qu’oth Initiative 9
Qu’outh is currently checking out things a bit farther to the north, exploring the nooks and crannies around L10 (Perception 13)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
It looks like Velmine is the only one with a higher initiative and she is helding her action.
So of the Cockatrice's wait for you to throw more food (1) and some take a more aggressive approach (2)
C1 2, C22, C3 1, C4 2, C5 1, C6 2, C7 1, C8 1.
These more aggressive ones target 1-3 Brown Bear, 4-6 Eiren, 7-8 Xavier, 9 Velmine, 10 Corvin, 11 Baik.
C1 11, C26, C3 9, C5 6, C6 11, C8 4.
C1 takes off and flies about 10 feet above the ground over the pool and attacks Eiren Attack: 16 Damage: 2 which misses.
C2 flies about the tree and sees the biggest target, the Brown Bear.
C3 heads over the trees looking for food.
C4 decides to wait for more handouts.
C5 heads over the trees looking for food.
C6 flies over Xavier's head and attacks Velmine 16 Damage: 2. It bites her, Velmine must make a Constitution save DC 11 against being magically petrified. On a failed save, the you begins to turn to stone and is restrained. You must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn. On a success, the effect ends. On a failure, the you are petrified for 24 hours. C6 then flies another 5 feet up past her.
C7 decides to wait for more handouts.
C8 flies about the tree and sees the biggest target, the Brown Bear.
Velmine you can take your readied action at C6 (melee) or C1, C2, C3, C5, C6 or C8 (thrown). You can use your reaction to make an opportunity attack against C6 if you succeed your saving throw and didn't throw your dagger.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Velmine attacks C6 while it is within melee range. (I'll assume Sneak attack due to the fact that if it was 5ft. above me, it's also diagonally within 5ft. of the bear, Xavier and Eiren)
Did Xavier not get a chance to cast his spell when I threw the meat? Thought that was the plan when they were all grouped together...thought the food would give us the second needed :(
Xavier’s eyes glow purple as he says “darkness consumes you” casting darkness using 2 sorcery points 15 feet up at the corner of R/S 23/24 which will cover c3, c4, c5, c7 and Himself in a sphere of impenetrable darkness (though I can see through due to my casting with sorcery points)

It’s a sphere and not a cube so move 10 feet to the left and center on ground level so it will cover me and c4 and block vision for c7. The 2 above the trees won’t be effected

(No the meat made them all move and attack before I could)
(The meat made them move towards it and then fight each other over it, which should have given us time. DM I sent a message yesterday seeking clarification—seems like the enemies got a free turn somehow? Is there some way we can rectify this?)
(So by my calculation I should have a little time left on Spirit Guardians. Xavier and Velmine spent 5 minutes searching the pile of bones after the fight, then 2 minutes on Velmine and Eiren's experiment, and 2 minutes to get to where we are now, which would be 9 minutes since combat ended from what I can tell. I don't think combat lasted 10 rounds last fight after I cast spirit guardians to use up the last minute (spell lasts 10 minutes) - though I haven't gone back to count, so theoretically I could have a few rounds of spirit guardians left, which would affect any of the creatures that moved within 15 feet of me, looks like probably C1 and C6)

Corvin initiative: 5
Looks like you took a feat at Warlock Lv. 8 instead of an ability score increase.
(Yeah, I noticed, and it was obviously intentional, I just don5 remember doing it. But hey , st least I can’t be surprised.)
