Charles ponders which way to go and looks to Fancy, "Are you sure it is a dead end on the left side? Not another illusion?" He then tilts his head and looks at Le'gal, "Can he understand me?"
Le'gal simply nods. "It is devil. Primary functions require working understanding and ability to speak common. At least for Imp Class and above. Hard making deals otherwise in most case." She explains, regarding Fancy's missing hands.

Talon listens to Le'gal's thoughts and says "I have no real way to know what was beyond the wall where you got trapped so my use of the word 'world' was more for thought than for definition. Not sure where that would have taken us."
He follows and stops at the wooden door. After Fancy explores the dead end he tells the others "Apparently there is only a dead end around that corner. However with the surprises we have seen so far it is possible we could find more with searches. I say we try this wooden door and leave the dead end for later."
A troubled Le'gal snaps out of her funk long enough to ready a Sacred Flame for any threat beyond the door. If she can get visual from the back of the group. Otherwise, she just stays on guard looking for threats that might follow behind them.

The party spends a few seconds discussing the possibilities of the strange trap room inside of which Le'gal was stuck. Not particularly interested, Charles simply shrugs and goes to investigate the door down the right path. The rest of the party moves along while they continue to talk, almost without realizing they are passively following.
Charles: You put you ear to the door but you can hear only silence on the other side. You are convinced that your hearing is in fine shape.
As Graxximus prepares to break the door and Le'gal readies a mote of flame in her hands, Talon takes the simple approach and test the knob. It turn easily. Behind the door, Talon sees a not-so-large chamber, about 15 x 25 feet, but the scene inside is less than mundane. A total of ten heavily armored drow elves are stuck to the walls by the means of well-hammered-in pitons. The large nails perforating hands, arms, legs, shoulders, navels, necks, legs... Fresh blood dripping from the many puncture wounds... The floor slick with oily blood reflecting the sconces' light in bright red... In the center of the room, a toppled statue lies broken, and several small bloodied iron spheres are scattered throughout.
Charles will walk in slowly and cautiously to take a look around. He will take a look at the bodies, are they freshly dead? ((Here is a roll, take whatever modifier you need: 7))
(@Superbad: They are small, perhaps the size of a large blueberry. Also, I'll be taking your medicine modifier for that roll for a total of 8.)
Charles approaches one of the bodies stuck to the wall and looks it over. He tries to determine how freshly of a kill it might be, but his stomach churns. Before he barfs, the halfling walks back towards the entrance, shaking his head from side to side and covering his mouth.
Charles adjusts his clothing and walks up to the body. He's fine... for a second as he immediately spins on the balls of his feet as he hastily walks to the entrance, muttering "Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Oh gods." He waits until he is away from the last member of the group, THEN he barfs.

Le'gal rubs Charles back as he cuts loose, murmuring "there, there"from time to time. Curious, however, Le'gal leaves him eventually to recover on his own while she followed whoever else decided to go inside for a look around. "This place.. Grixx. Memory faint. But, you possess means to detect magical desecration. Yes?" While he does so, or something else along the lines, she moves to the body closest to the door and examines itself. Her concern being less on how long ago they were made into what they were, and less seeking cause of death and any relations to profane purpose.
In the process, she whispers and makes a small instinctive prayers and gestures for guidance. "If not temple. Shrine. Then fear former Celestial's trophy room."She comments on, considering all she saw and trying not to smell too much. A nigh impossible task given her sensitive nose.
Graxx looks around at the Drow seeming to have a memory of hatred but he cannot help to pity the fools.
Graxx says to Le'gal, "Yes, let us see." Graxx casts Divine Sense.
Divine Sense
As an action, you can detect good and evil. Until the end of your next turn, you can sense anything affected by the hallow spell or know the location of any celestial, fiend, undead within 60 ft. that is not behind total cover. You can use this feature 5 times per long rest.
Le'gal and Graxximus step forward as Charles recompose himself. The paladin lets Tempus' light fill his own senses, but is surprised to learn that this chamber has not been desecrated, despite the almost ritualistic scene. The follow up conclusions are then, less surprising. The drow are not serving anyone in undeath, and no celestial or fiends are hiding in the shadows.
The bugbear bard arrives at a similar conclusion, also through some divine guidance. The gruesome display is not religious in design. Instead, Le'gal deduces it serves as a warning. To whom, it is hard to tell.
Talon watches as the others examine the dead. He is a little sqeamish as well as cautious. He sends Fancy in to examine the scene and watches through Fancy's eyes. Even with this bit of separation, Talon soon joins Charles in retching. Funny how retching, like yawning, can be contagious.
Still, rather than looking for meaning, Talon uses Fancy's senses to search for clues or anything useful: Perception11 + guidance1

Le'gal breathes a sigh of relief, still unbothered by scent or goriness of the scene. A testament perhaps to a long -- or perhaps even many lives spent around the dead. "A warning. By who, know not. Perhaps with more studying. Not experiment, though. Too brutalized."She says clinical, turning towards examining the wounds and injuries for time of death and methods used to kill the Drow; completing Charles attempt with a little divine guidance.
"Nox. The orbs. Are they magical? If not, should bring to Charles perhaps. May be key to connecting place. If no other door found."
Nox cover her hand over her noise trying to lessen the stench, she quickly move her other hands and hastly mumble some divine word casting detect magic and check the orbs rely to the party if it either magical or not.
Fancy floats around looking for clues. Some of the imp's dripping blood mixes with that on the floor while it picks something interesting to stare at. The familiar decides that one of the blueberry-sized spheres is interesting enough and attempts to pick it up forgetting it no longer has hands. Disappointed, it then settles on staring at it. Through its eyes, Talon notices something. Right at his moment, Nox turns on her special magical sense and reveals to all within the room that nothing inside seems magical other than the items the party is carrying. That is all the hint that Talon needs. His dwarveness tells him this is not iron, but lead, and these spheres are actually something more akin to metal pellets.
Le'gal: Now that you are up and close to the bodies, it is quite simple to tell how they were killed. They all have many deep puncture wounds. No doubt, someone else in this place knows how to use firearms (in addition to Charles Whitebone I).
(OOC: BTW, there are no other doors in this room, only the one you used to come in.)
"Sombody has something against drows? Also it seems they weren't under the effect of Lysanderoth revival spell scheme ... or it might have run out". Unless sombody want to do something in the room Nox walk backs, whatever the warning was if it ment not entering the room it worked on Nox.
