Talon takes a couple of steps and breathes temporary life to some of his caltrops. Following orders, the animated pointy objects invade the chamber and attack the first sheep they see:
-> The first six caltrops attack Sheep#10 at {CQ-19}. All of them manage to draw blood from the slowed creature (Sheep#10 - CMD: 40 -> DEFEATED).
-> The next six caltrops attack Sheep#1 at {CS-19}. Only one of them fails to prick its quadrupedal enemy (Sheep#1 - CMD: 34 -> DEFEATED).
-> The last two caltrops tumble mid-air towards Sheep#9 at {CP-17} and one cuts its skin (Sheep#9 - CMD: 8).
Talon however, never manages to see the damage his minions dealt, as he disappears before ever moving further.
Without moving his gaze away from the door, the shepherd mumbles something and a shimmer momentarily envelops him like a bubble as he lands on the floor and lets the fog hide about a third of his height.
(Sigil, Nox, Le'gal, and Graxximus are up next, but Sigil and Graxximus are completely out of commission for now.)
Nox move to CQ-20 and Conjure Woodland Beings (Eight fey creatures of challenge rating 1/4 or lower), ordering one to distract (giving advantage next attack on him) the shepherd and the other 7 to fight the sheep 1 v 1.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"No.. no.. no. Not again."Le'gal rushes forward to Sigil, and seeing Graxx as well down just around the bend, the bugbear grabs her head in frustration. "Okay. Just focus." A few short breathes of nerve steading later, the bugbear gingerly moves to CR-21, gripping her prayer beads necklace. "Envanto!" She calls, drawing upon the blessing within one to empower herself, Nox, and Charles with it.
Ignoring the fast fading color of one of the beads, she steps back to CS-22(or as close to as possible), and kneels to start studying Sigil's form and face for any hints at how she might bring the duo back to fighting shape.
Nox steps over her companions on the floor and enters the room already chanting and gesturing. Well versed in all things weave-related, the shepherd snaps a finger and interrupts the summoning (Counterspell 4th level).
Unaware of what is happening in the room just beyond her, Le'galblesses herself and the companions she can see that are still standing (Nox and Charles). She then studies Sigil's condition, and quickly determines that he has fallen prey to a devastating loss of mental acumen. The cleric fears that without some powerful means of reconstituting her compatriot's intelligence, he might never be able to awaken again. Luckily, she may have just the thing. Additionally, the fact that his body is no worse for wear can only mean that this is some powerful, if not ancient kind of psionics or other psychic attack.
Charles will cast Fireball centered on the bottom right of CT-17, which I believe has almost every sheep including the shepherd in it's radius. (If not, Charles main priority is at least getting the shepherd in the radius of the Fireball.))
Dex Save DC 18 or take 31 fire damage (15.5 on a successful save)
He will take a few steps and end up at CS-22, if possible.
Also, if the Shepherd attempts to Counterspell the fireball, Charles will react with a counterspell of his own that is of an equal level.
Also, if Charles is forced to make any save, he will use ONE luck point.
From his spot near the entrance, Charles throws a Fireball in the center of the room the explosion engulfs many of the beings inside. The wizard makes sure to avoid hitting as many of Talon's animated caltrops as possible.
(OOC: At the selected spot, the spell will hit eight caltrops, four of which can be spared by the Charles' Sculpt Spells feature.)
-> DEX saving throws {DC 18}:
Shepherd: 14 - not affected by the spell;
Sheep#2: 8 - saves and takes 15 fire damage;
Sheep#3: 9- 2 from Slow - saves and takes 15 fire damage;
Sheep#5:11 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Sheep#7: 8 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Caltrop: 20+ 4 from Aura of Protection - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Caltrop: 12+ 4 from Aura of Protection - saves and takes 15 fire damage;
Caltrop: 18 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Caltrop: 19 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
The Fireball burns two of the sheep to a crisp, but at the cost of some friendly fire (three caltrops lose their animation). Two other sheep seem quite burned (Sheep#2 - CMD: 15; Sheep#3 - CMD: 15) but the shepherd looks completely unaffected by the spell.
Charles then retreats to {CT-22} (OOC: Le'gal has already moved to {CS-22})
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Charles' turn)
The shepherd mimics Charles, shooting a Fireball at the lower left corner of {CP-20}. The fire weaves and turns, entering the hallway as well.
-> DEX saving throws {DC 20}, taking 28 fire damage or half that on a save (OOC: Slow, Bless, Mantle of Spell Resistance, and Aura of Protection taken into account within the appropriate rolls. Let me know if I forgot anything.):
Sheep#3: 14 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Caltrop: 18 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Caltrop: 24 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Caltrop: 15 - saves and takes 15 fire damage;

Caltrop: 22 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Caltrop: 12 - saves and takes 15 fire damage;
Caltrop: 25 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Charles: 28 - saves and takes 15 fire damage;
Graxximus: 10+ 1 from bond with Le’gal - saves and takes 7 fire damage due to Warding Bond;
Nox: 12 - fails and takes 31 fire damage;
Le'gal: 12 - fails and takes 38 fire damage due to Warding Bond;
Sigil: 14 + 4 (forgot this one initially) - saves and takes 15 fire damage;
This second Fireball is devastating. Eight more caltrops fall to the ground (7 fails + 1 that was previously damaged), as does one of the previously slowed sheep. Nox and Le'gal are caught by surprise as well (full damage), but Charles is able to cover himself with his magical mantle (half damage). On the ground, both Graxximus and Sigil are only slightly singed.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sheep#2 (damaged) rushes toward the hallway and climbs over the immobile but still alive body of Graxximus on the ground. It is followed closely by Sheep#3 (slowed, damaged), who stops short of climbing the paladin. One of them is now out of the fog, and both Nox and Le'gal get a glimpse of its uncovered form. What was taken to be their torso before is indeed their full body. Four legs with sharp claws protrude from an almost oval shaped and ridged pink surfaced. These are a strange mix of a quadrupedal creature and a humanoid brain! The picture is, however, not painted in full, as one of the creatures shakes for a brief moment and then disappears as if teleported (these creatures are Tiny, by the way).
Two other walking brains quickly approach. One takes the place of the one that vanished while the second climbs atop Sigil (Sheep#6 at {CR-22} atop Sigil, and Sheep#8 at {CR-20}). They are followed closely by the only other remaining brain (Sheep#4 at {CR-19}, slowed). These three newcomers do not disappear. Instead they lash their claws and try to pry the minds of nearby foes:
-> Claw vs. Nox: Attack: 21Damage: 9 slashing.
-> Claw vs. Nox: Attack: 20 Damage: 9 slashing.
-> Claw vs. Le'gal: Attack: 10Damage: 5 slashing.
-> Claw vs. Le'gal: Attack: 13 Damage: 8 slashing.
(OOC: Please ignore the second attack against each character. I meant to roll only one per non-slowed attacking sheep)
-> INT saving throws {DC 12} (OOC: Notice you are not getting the benefits from Aura of Protection for this. There is a reason for it.):
Nox's 1st save: 21;
Nox's 1st save: 27;
Le'gal: 7;
The creatures' claws are not sharp enough to bypass Nox's shell or Le'gal's shield. The tortle is the attacked mentally by two of the sheep but manages to resist their impulse. The bugbear, on the other hand, falls to the same afflicttion take took Sigil and Graxximus out of battle earlier in the battle. Le'gal is now stunned and incapacitated, prone, and her INT score is reduced to zero.
DM's Screen:
G: 1 vs. 8;
S: 10 vs. 15;

Le’gal tries to endure a bit longer but fails (reference). She takes 16 psychic damage.
Sigil and Le'gal are completely immobile, but Graxximus begins to stir.
(@Palfatreos & @Laserwhit: Both Nox and one of the animated clatrops may perform a single melee attack as an opportunity attack against Sheep#6.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
BEFORE TALON'S TURN
One of the animated caltrops pinches the passing brain creature, warning Nox of the chance to do the same. Though both hit and force some transparent ooze out of the creature, the damage feels less than what it should have been (Sheep#6 - CMD: 6).
Le'gal's Bless persists for a moment longer, but then it fades as the bugbear is now incapacitated.
Charles feels that the connection the shepherd established directly with his mind has now faded as well.
The shepherd raises his hands, with the left one rising higher the the right. Several apparitions come out of the fog, shaped like all kinds of humanoids: humans, goblins, elves, dwarves, minotaurs, bugbears, halflings, tortles, and so on... They all have gaping voids for eyes and lower jaws that hang way too low. They all rush towards Nox.
-> Nox's CON saving throw {DC 18} 18 - many apparitions disappear before reaching the tortle, but she still gets nicked for 25 necrotic damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Talon will reappear as close to the doorway as possible and then turn Le'gal into a Giant Scorpion, He will then surge his divine energy to quickly move to where he can see any remaining sheep and fire his main blaster separating the blasts to different sheep if possible. Any animated caltrops left they will continue to attack sheep.
BONUS ACTION: Seek and Destroy Sheep with eldritch blast, trying to spread the blasts if possible (@Lerus, I'm struggling to know where the sheep that are left are positioned if you can help me resolve this that would be great. Also if I am unable to move into range then Talon will not use the Eldritch Blast .)
CONTINUING CONCENTRATION: animated caltrops will continue to seek and destroy sheep (@Lerus, Your help again if possible. Not sure again exactly what is left and where. Sorry for the confusion but I got home late and need to get up early tomorrow and don't have the time to figure it all out. My count was there were 4 caltrops left animated and so I made 4 attack rolls.)
Talon reappears at {CU-22} and springs into action. First, he shoots pew-pew-pews at the only brain creatures he can see. He knows he has to be very accurate, as the creature is currently standing on top of a proneSigil. Thankfully he is, and the creature is blasted out of existence (Sheep#6 - CMD: 38 -> DEFEATED).
The three remaiming caltrops gang on the last-to-approach brain creature. Only two manage to hit their target, but for less damage than expected (Sheep#4 - CMD: 5)
Finally, seeing Le'gal down but noticing that she is still breathing, the dwarf takes a gamble based on a move he pulled before, when Le'gal was still going by the name Jury (otherwise I would have require an arcana check as Le'gal did on Sigil). The bugbear then emerges in the shape of a Giant Scorpion, including its mental faculties. In the hallway, the big arthropod looks as if it was squeezed into a can, and is prone.
(OOC: Both Charles and Talon are now blocked from the main room by the Large scorpion squeezed into a space that is a fourth of its original size. Le'gal can't move either, being sandwiched between the aforementioned companions and the enemies.)
The act of turning Le'gal into a scorpion drops concentration on Animate Objects. The three remaining caltrops drop to the floor, lifeless.
Talon does not disappear this time. Fancy continues to keep an eye down the hallway, making sure nothing is approaching the group from behind.
The shepherd calmly approaches Nox. The tortle can see the creature's moving beard become clearer as it approaches. A realization comes to the druid, as she notices that the shepherd does not sport a beard at all, but a grotesque set of tentacles that sprout from its alien face. The tentacles stretch out out:
-> Tentacles vs. Nox: Attack: 13Damage: 28 psychic.
Nox easily dodges the slow moving tentacles.
(OOC: Moving on to Sigil's turn)
Completely vulnerable, Sigil remains on the ground.
LEGENDARY ACTION (end of Sigil's turn)
The shepherd tries once again the grab's Nox's head with its tentacles:
-> Tentacles vs. Nox: Attack: 32 Damage: 49 psychic.
The mental pain is unbearable:
-> Nox's INT saving throw {DC 20}: 22
-> The mental agony quickly subsides, but the tortle is still grappled.
(OOC: Since things have changed quite a bit, here's a mid-round map update)
Nox teleports to CX-14 with his druid *hidden paths* then move trough the door walking 10 feet east CX-12. She then Conjure Woodland Beings (Eight fey creatures of challenge rating 1/4 or lower), 6 are summoned in the room and ordered to attack the sheeps 2 stays at Nox side (CX-13 and CX-11?)
Hidden Paths
Hidden Paths Starting at 10th level, you can use the hidden, magical pathways that some fey use to traverse space in the blink of an eye. As a bonus action on your turn, you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. Alternatively, you can use your action to teleport one willing creature you touch up to 30 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Le'gal almost instinctively resist as pressure builds up all around her. But between the fear of returning to oblivion and that of discomfort, she relents to the spell. Black and red armor transforms into a carapace, arms become BIG, MEATY, CLAWS, and all other kinds of uncomfortable to watch shenanigans goes on. If after all said and done she senses menace from Graxx, a newly formed stinger lances out at him.
Reaction:(if possible) Attack of Opportunity on Graxx: Stinger - Attack: 10 For: 9 non-magical piercing damage. (If hit, target makes a DC 12 Con Save, taking half of 23 poison damage upon success.)
Righting herself soon after, she tries to size up the situation. "Shiny dust. Need. Shiny dust. Need eat. Need. Need. Shiny DUST! Make. Whole. Food. Food Whole. Not Eat. Make Whole. Ah! Food! Dog. No. Sheep! Eat Sheep! Make Dead! Then Shiny Dust. Make Not-Food Whole!" Amidst a cacophony of snaps, clacking claws, and mandibles clicking, the speech -- as much as any of it could be called speech thanks to magic -- is practically shouted as Le'gal tries to claw and sting the little brain just around the bend(CR-21). A task made both easier and more difficult by her large frame.
Whether she hits or miss, she lets out a shriek. "Body. Weird. Need. Need. Pincers? Hands! Need Hands! Shiny Dust. Shelled Food! Come! Bring Shiny Dust!"Her clicks and hisses resolve as a shout to the ears of all.
Action: Multi-Attack(If Possible)
Claw#1 - Attack: 9 For: Unable to parse dice roll. non-magical piercing damage. (If hit, target is considered grappled,Escape DC 12)
Claw#2 - Attack: 13 For: 4 non-magical piercing damage. (If hit but not already grappled, target is considered grappled,Escape DC 12)
Stinger - Attack: 5 For: 12 non-magical piercing damage. (If hit, target makes a DC 12 Con Save, taking half of 18 poison damage upon success.)

Reaction:(if possible) Attack of Opportunity on Graxx:
Stinger - Attack: 10 For: 9 non-magical piercing damage.

Righting herself soon after, she tries to size up the situation. "Shiny dust. Need. Shiny dust. Need eat. Need. Need. Shiny DUST! Make. Whole. Food. Food Whole. Not Eat. Make Whole. Ah! Food! Dog. No. Sheep! Eat Sheep! Make Dead! Then Shiny Dust. Make Not-Food Whole!" Amidst a cacophony of snaps, clacking claws, and mandibles clicking, the speech -- as much as any of it could be called speech thanks to magic -- is practically shouted as Le'gal tries to claw and sting the little brain just around the bend(CR-21). A task made both easier and more difficult by her large frame.
Whether she hits or miss, she lets out a shriek. "Body. Weird. Need. Need. Pincers? Hands! Need Hands! Shiny Dust. Shelled Food! Come! Bring Shiny Dust!" Her clicks and hisses resolve as a shout to the ears of all.
