Bailiff sways on the spot having not at all expected the explosion. Seeing the egg lying down in the birds place however, the Great Ape leans in to sniff at it, pokes it a few times, then after looking around only for the briefest of moments, tries to eat it whole. Once that's done, he looks over to properly inspect the area for any further signs of threats. In finally noting the Gith half-splattered against the ground, Bailiff...
Wisdom Save(DC 15):10.
Bailiff's starts breathing hard for a few moments and balls his meaty hands into tight fists. But afterwards, all he gives Dredge a passing Dark Look before turning his attention to Bone. Without a thought, he picks up and carries the Bird Boy over to Talon, or as close as he can get less Grixx decides to feed him a Potion.
Crossbow Bolts Vs Bailiff(AC 12): Attack: 22 Damage: 3.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Talon looks at the remaining archers in annoyance, then notices that Grixx and Bone have fallen and the ape has grabbed Bone bringing him closer for help. "I have a divine friendship that I think will come in handy at this point. Thank you for your assistance." He then moves to AP, 53 and cast Aid 3rd level spell. Bone, Grixx and Talon suddenly receive more color in their cheeks (10 HP and 10 HP MAX increase). "We are going to need everyone ready when the scholar comes back. I plan to release him from the prison of nature and we will need to act quickly once that happens. I wont do it until everyone is ready. It would help if these automaton guards were no longer interrupting my thoughts with their arrows. But save your strength for the scholar, he has many tricks up his sleeve as we have already seen."
(OOC: @Lerus, I should be able to avoid the archers at some point, I blink out for a full round. Do I avoid them at the beginning of my turn (the previous turn has already been rolled) or the end (easier because that is when I am rolling?) Just saying.)
(@All it is good thing we're not doing critical fails... right? Right? >.> *sniffle* I'm so sorry Bone if you are in reach.)
Karwin hit the arclight phoenix with a guiding bolt, so you would've got advantage for the first attack against it. ;-)
Karwin takes the full brunt of the arclight phoenix after a crossbow bolt sticks into her (56 + 5 = 61 damage.) (Karwin: 30/128 HP)
Upon seeing several people apparently on her side fall, she casts Mass Healing Word, targeting herself, Bone, Grixx, and Dredge. The spiritual weapon still attempting to get to its destination. She then speaks. "This scholar, who are they? Beyond that, who exactly are you?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dredge returns the baleful look towards Jury, but feels confident in the knowledge that he holds the polymorph and can end it at any time. However, for now he heads towards the Nagpa. If he can make it there, he holds attacks for the shrinking of the Nagpa. If not, then he lashes out at the guards still shooting crossbows.
Grixx manages to stay up out of shear will power, and then warns his companions that if they are quick enough in bringing him back, he may just avoid the effects of the embedded Reincarnate spell.
(@Grx: That's how I'll be interpreting Warrior of the Gods in the context of this campaign in addition to not requiring materials. Also, staying up does not count as your turn. You can still post your next turn, please.)
Nox shoots more arcane rays at three separate guards, one of which was a previously injured one by Grixx. All three fall (Armored Guards killed: 16). Nox himself is hit by another stray bolt.
Bailiff brings Bone closer and Talon who helps the kenku with some healing magic, which also benefits Grixx. Karwin joins in the healing circle as her Spiritual Weapon reaches its intended destination:
Bone gains 17 hit points back in total, and has his max HP bumped by 10 hit points for the next 8 hours.
Grixx gains 17 hit points back in total, and has his max HP bumped by 10 hit points for the next 8 hours.
Talon gains 10 hit points back in total, and has his max HP bumped by 10 hit points for the next 8 hours.
Dredge gains 7 hit points back in total.
Karwin gains 7 hit points back in total.
(@poke: in the end, that extra advantage against the Phoenix was not needed, but here's an additional attack roll for Bailiff just for us to see if that miss would turn into a hit: 19 - It does! Final damage: (Arclight Phoenix - CMD: 247->DEFEATED).)
Crossbow attacks that were skipped:
-> Crossbow Bolt (ranged weapon attack) vs. Talon: Attack: 21 Damage: 4 piercing. Talon is nicked by another arrow, taking 4 piercing damage. Nevermind, Talon is in the Ethereal Plane!
-> Crossbow Bolt (ranged weapon attack) vs. Karwin: Attack: 7Damage: 5 piercing. Karwin doesn't even feel a bolt hitting her shell.
(Bone and Grixx are still up for initiative round 7. The rest of Bailiff's turn, as well as Dredge's turn will be resolved once we enter initiative round 8.)
(@Superbad: The way this would work would be for Bone to cast and keep concentration on the spell, and then use the ready action to prepare an attack. Notice that this drops your concentration on Hunter's Mark.)
Quickly brought back to his feet, Bone calmly enchants one of his arrows, nocks it on his bow, and from a distance, aims at the transmuted Nagpa.
Grixx sees the last few armored guards and makes sure that they will not bother the group's synchronized attack on the last foe in the battlefield (Armored Guards killed: 22). One of the guards manages to stick Grixx with one last bolt right in the clavicle.
NOTE: Those were the last of the crossbow guards. There is no longer a need to roll these end-of-turn attacks against yourselves.

The Whale will try to use all of its strength to push against the wall and move 5 feet north.
-> Killer Whale's STR ability check {DC 13}: 18 - The Whale moves to {AV57, AU58, AT59}.
Dredge moves closer to the Nagpa {AT57, AT58} and prepares to pummel it as soon as the Talon drops his Polymorph (@Superbad: By the way, I'm assuming the same trigeer for Bone's readied attack.)
Bailiff then swallows whole the metal egg that everyone else has ignored so far. It sits heavy in the ape's stomach but no further reaction is felt.
(Bone and Dredge already have prepared actions. Everyone else can take their turn, including Bailiff who didn't really take an action in his last post. In other words, Nox, Talon, Grixx, Karwin and Bailiff are up.)
Bailiff smacks his lips in distaste of devoured egg as he makes his way closer to the Killer Whale. Again, the Great Ape started breathing heavily as he stared down with all but unchecked malevolence in his eyes. He starts reach out for the Killer Whale...
Wisdom Save(DC 15): 8.
(@All Huzzah! We get the 'fun' option! :D)
And with a roar of rage he tries to grab, wrestling with it as necessary until his great eye met that of the Killer Whale. Bailiff could not form words. Bailiff not know fully what Bailiff was gonna do next. But Bailiff would bear hug the creature close until it either undo what it did to Bailiff, or go flying into sky pool (next turn).
Movement: To {AS-54, AR-55, AQ-56}.
Action: Bailiff attempts to Grapple the Nag-Whale.
((@Lerus: I totally forgot to put the trigger didn't I? Damn! You'd be correct in assuming that is the trigger. Once polymorph drops the Nagpa is getting a little shock. Also, I'm totally fine with Hunters Mark dropping, I figured I'd have to drop it anyway lol))

Talon takes stock of the situation. With everyone waiting for him to drop concentration on the Killer Whale so they can attack, Talon has much on his mind. Are they ready? What tricks does this scholar have up his sleeve? They know he is extremely dangerous and any mishaps could lead to disaster. He looks through the ethereal plane into reality and it seems as though the group is ready, and maybe a little anxious. Talon waits for the blink to give him the opportunity and then acts quickly.
Blink return location, AK, 56 and then Talon will move back to AF, 56. He will use his sorcery bloodline to quickly cast Hex on the Nagpa (will lose concentration on the Polymorph) and curse the Nagpa's intelligence, seems only fitting (disadvantage on ability checks using intelligence.) (Two sorcery points for quicken spell,Hex is a bonus action)
Thrusting his compatriots will know what to do, TalonBlinks in, quickly Hexes and shoots the Nagpa, and Blinks out again. The one Eldritch Blast that manages to hit the Nagpa's shrinking form burns its backside (Nagpa - CMD: 78).
Even before the whale form is completely dropped, a barrage of blows comes the Nagpa's way. Dredge swings a bit too early, missing the now smaller form of the transforming whale. Nox follows with his own set of Eldritch Blasts (for 33 force damage). Grixx adds a swing of his blade (for 15 slashing and 8 radiant damage), and Bone sticks a few arrows on the creature's hunched back (for 28 lightning and 20 piercing damage).
By the time the Nagpa is fully formed, many bruises and cuts are already showing in his skin. He is not quite out for the count yet, but his body looks ready to call it quits (Nagpa - CMD: 182).
Some collateral damage is felt from Bone's Lightning Arrow. Some DEX saving throws {DC 16} below:
Grixx: 9 - takes 9 lightning damage;
Dredge: 14 - takes 9 lightning damage;
Bailiff: 14 - takes 9 lightning damage. (I mistakenly gave you advantage there, but still a failure in the end...)
Both Dredge and Grixx can shrug off one more little shock in this fight, but Bailiff looks a bit more distressed. His facial expression quickly changes from disappointment at not being able to secure the slippery whale in place to one of discomfort. The ape slowly looks down at his bulging belly with perhaps a hint of regret. In an instant, blood, guts, and other unspeakables drench the Nagpa, and both of the barbarians. Bailiff falls to the ground, clearly very dead, and from a whole in his stomach a smaller Arclight Phoenix-chic appears, ready to attack whatever is in its way.
Arclight Phoenix-chic initiative: 13. It is in square {AR57}, 5 feet from the ground.
The Nagpa laugh maniacally, as the ape's body begins to shrink back into the warforged wizard's while simultaneously fading away.
(Karwin is up next, then the Arclight Phoenix-chic.)
