Grixx is relieved that the hooves were an ally as he was in no shape to continue the fight. "Good to have you back." The barbarian says genuinely but tiredly.

She flicks her ears and stares daggers at Talon at the name Sally. "I remember enough to know that was neither of our names, for one." Vigilance smirks and crosses her arms. "The circumstances of our... /my/ second death are foggy. But I do recall most of who we... I were."She stomps her hoof and briefly looks away in irritation. "Ya nailed it in one as far as waking up in a cell goes. Close to the one we were in before, if'n I remember correctly." After tapping her lips a few times, she just shrugs. "As far as names go, Vigilance will work just fine. Without the others anymore, I can't be Jury. And Zoria died a long time ago." There's a minute grimace at the last admission. One she hids behind fussing over Bone for a moment.
Vigilance turns soon after and snorts at the proposition. "If it's empty, and if when we sell it /I/ receive the largest cut for having to lug that around then... Sure." She points at Talon. "But we're not making a habit of this! Understood? I am sworn only to Erathis, -not- to carry your burdens." She says, giving the poor dwarf a half-hearted glare. Then with a sigh and a roll of her eyes, the goataur goes on to reluctantly, "Once the rest of you have it all sorted, let me know if there is to be anything else I am to carry."
A little later, to Dredge...
"Again, you confuse your limited understanding of the nature of things with extreme examples and dogma nailed into your head with truth about a person's character or the art as a whole. And no matter how far 'removed' the occurring incident, it doesn't change the fact that a bloodline was tainted." A final stomp punctuates the end of her statement. Just as quickly as angered flared to life, it dims in her expression moments later.
After looking first to her hands, both ears and gaze lowers as if ashamed by something. "... But, I do apologize, if only because of your lack of choice in the matter. That was... needlessly cruel of me to insist upon."Whether Dredge accepts the apology or not, Vigilance pointedly sets her attention towards recovering the ring before moving to drag Furloth's body over to the Nagpa's should his head be intact for a Speak with Dead casting later.
When the time comes, she'll claim at least 3 of the remaining 6 spell components, the Scroll of Daylight, a share of the gold and platinum, and offer to Identify any magical trinkets among the gathered loot.
(@Lerus Don't know if you need me to make a check or not to find it again, but if so it's in the spoiler.)
Perception: 21 or -8 from the score if Investigation.
"It is painful, but... good to be back, little Grixx." She teases him while he began resting along with Bone once she dropped him near the barbarian.

Only one of Talon's spell attacks hit the groggy Napga, perforating his leg. The scholar starts bleeding out while back to his solidly unconscious state. Talon realizes that the party should either secure the birdman while the opportunity is still there, or they might lose their intended prisoner.
Jury's new incarnation, named Vigilance, finally arrives, just to immediately resume her bickering with Dredge. Bone on the other hand, has a very sweet reunion with the goataur. Amid re-introductions, hugs, and arguments, the party distributes the loot they have found and piled somewhere near the chamber's center.
Uninterested in the magical hoard, Grixx takes a knee as to let his body recover a bit. In doing so, he notices that an interesting rod lies on the floor next to him. He recognizes this as the magical apparatus that was keeping the bird locked in place before the Nagpa's experiment was completed.
Once the argument with the genasi is at least momentarily settled, Vigilance darts off to find what remains of her previous companion, finding the Ring of Water Walking near the northern end of the circular room (OOC: yes, thanks for the roll.)
"I think we need to find a place to rest. I'll work on our friend here, he wont be worth much if we don't help him a little." Talon first does a medicine check on the Nagpa: 11, and then ties him up using Talon's rope and then gags him nicely in order to prevent verbal commands etc... "So Grixx, you are a good bit stronger than I am. Either you can carry this load or we can try to tie it on Vigilance like the other loot. I'm open to suggestions. I don't want to treat you like a pack goat Vig. Just trying to work this out." he gives a weak grin.
"Any of you who are good with rope (acrobatics, atheletics) can help me secure this bird scholar of ours."
Talon walks up to Vigilance sheepishly. "So Vig, what say you examine this closely for me? I know Jury was a little touchy on this from time to time so if it is a problem it can wait." Talon holds up the beautifully woven metal of the clockwork cube and gives Vigilance another weak smile.
Dredge walks to Grixx. ”That’s a nice find, that. If no one wants to look at it immediately, I will take a look at it at the next chance we get to rest.” If no one else takes the rod, then Dredge will hold on to it.
Vigilance shakes her head. "I can look over them both now. The more we get out of the way sooner, the sooner we can move on with... whatever /this/ is now." She says, gesturing to the area around them. "Because like it or not, I think... I think we might've erred breaking out of our cell." If there is no further objections at that point, she stows her own shield and lance to start work to Identify the items. Hoping more than being truly certain about the rod, she spends a spell slot to make the process expedient for the rod first.
For the cube, however, she takes the full eleven minutes eyeing the item through a pearl, and channeling what divine and fey magic coursed through her being as necessary along its surface.

Talon patches up the Nagpa just enough so the scholar is no longer in immediate danger of bleeding out (unconscious but stable). The dwarf then proceeds to tie his prisoner with thick rope and gag his beak just in case (OOC: You are all high level adventurers. I wont ask you to roll for tying a knot...)
Grixx, Dredge, Talon and Vigilance come together to get a better understanding of a few of the extra items they gathered. A minute is all that is needed to uncover the physics-defying properties of the Immovable Rod that now belongs to the group (OOC: not sure if Grixx or Dredge have claimed it.) The metalwork cube however, is a different story. Vigilance is able to determine the piece somehow defies time and space, but its exact properties or workings are beyond the somewhat simple ritual she is able to performed. Apart from that, the goataur is able to tell that many of the parts in the contraption seem manipulable.

"Make sense for an Arcane Anchor of a sort. Worth experimenting with, if you are so inclined later." Vigiliance said as she passed it along. After that, the goataur lost herself in studying the box well after her first attempt at uncovering its nature proved futile. It took cacophony of squawking to break her out of absent-minded fiddling with the object. "While I cannot be absolute certain sadly, I suspect we may be able to use this to... I hesitate to say this, but... we could use it to go somewhere. Or draw something here?" She taps the chin of her helmet, once more firmly back in place, then lets out a sigh.
"Much as it pains me to admit. Without the others -- without Jury, it will take me some time longer to puzzle the puzzle box out. Though if some else wishes to try...."As her eyes roamed over the others, they narrows to dangerous slits the moment they fell upon the bound up and still breathing Nagpa. "What shall we do with him? Unless there's plans to interrogate him under an Antimagic Field field of some sort, we can just as well get any answers we wish from his corpse. Speaking of which..." During the ten minute long ritual, she is focused on nothing except the prayer and on sending what divine magic coarsed through Furloth's jaw when possible, hoping to mend at least his mouth enough for her Speak with Dead to take.

Led by Bone's bird nap, the group takes some time to rest and devise a plan regarding what to do next. Inspired by the recently concluded battle, Nox call forth a couple more birds to join the ever-growing party. Meanwhile, Dredge manages to find and salvage a this metal cage in the shape of a parallelepiped, probably what the Nagpa was using to keep the bird before he was ready to begin his experiment. The druid also accepts Grizz's gift, claiming the Immovable Rod.
Talon and Vigilance take some time during the rest to continue studying the mysterious cube. Talon feels the pull of his intuition, and concludes that if the mechanism is indeed somewhat akin to a lock, there must be a key, or several, somewhere. The dwarf gets a feeling however that some trial and error might be a valid approach to take. The cube does offer a large dial on one of the faces, after all:
Vigilance then leaves Talon to the cube and focus on Furloth's still warm body. The recency of his death lends itself to some healing magic, and although there is no life left in him, some of the muscle tissue and bone return to the mangled jaw of the gith. His forehead, temple, and eye sockets, however, are still a bloody pulp. Once the cleric finishes the casting of Speak with Dead, she hears a faint, ghastly "Ahh", as if Furloth's lungs still searched for oxygen.
"That's it." Vigilance coos as she caress his cheek almost lovingly in the moment. After briefly conferring with the others over the opportunity after the fact, she turns back to Furloth and clicks her tongue. "So cruel. So brutal. Though you may have thought little of them in the end, know that your attempt was appreciated at least by me."
The goataur smile wavers and fades altogether after that point. "I have some question, and you have the answers. Speak truthfully, and I may see to your return some day. But now then, let us begin..." "How do we get out of here?" "What are the other dangers of this place?" "What do you know about a magical cube that was possession by the bird scholar?"
