Sensing the energy wane, Vigilance places a final kiss atop Furloth's bloody skull, whispers a final few words, and then gently lowers him upon the ground. Her gaze linger on the corpse for a time before attention shifts to the still swirling ceiling. "We should go. Further down, that is."She said as she took out a small knife to cut a few strands of hair off of the Gith, and store them away. Afterwards, she rises, taking up her lance and shield as she makes her way over to the Nagpa. If all hadn't heard the Furloth's rapsy answer, she sees to repeating it allowed along the way. But once beside the Nagpa, there's a murderous intent behind her otherwise dispassionate gaze.

"Yes, it is time to move from here. We have some hints now of what we can do. Apparently we will need to either get through the walls somehow or we could try find a secret passage like the one in Furloth's Quarters. If all else fails we can move through some tombs? Sounds dangerous."
Talon looks at the magical cube. "We can also try to understand how to use this. Apparently it contains ways to open portals to other planes. Not sure what Sacrifice means in this context?" Talon will twist the dial on the face of the clock a few times to see what he can learn from it.
While Vigilance does her necromancy thing, Dredge is pointedly staring in the other direction, muttering the incantations to Locate Creature, attempting to focus in on Lot.
(OOC: Ik this is probably pointless, but I figure why not?)
Upon hearing the death furloth respond Nox will ritual cast Detect Magic to see if the walls have any magic. He telepathicly orders the Griffon to tear down any bookshelves still blocking the wall. The hawk currently resting on the Kenku shoulder.
"Or it is reference to the walls we've seen in the previous section of the trial. Either way, Furloth's quarters would be a good start. But last obstacle to see to."If Grixx wasn't particularily busy atm, Vigilance would either wave him over to undo them, or see to the task herself. "May whatever deity is your keeper see to your just rewards. For you will find no more here, Adversary."Without another word, and unless stopped, she stabs him twice in the chest to end his life.
A moment is all she spares before drawing back the scholars perhaps confused spirit(Speak with Dead)... assuming he didn't immediately disappear. She is far less comforting about it. "Five Questions I have you for. Five and no more. Speak true, and you may be granted another chance at life someday." She pauses, giving perhaps fruitless the spirit a chance to contemplate the statement before asking her questions.
"What /is/ Lysanderoth besides someone of import?" "What type of sacrifice is required to make use of the cube?" "Are there more of your species working with Lysanderoth?" "How did you control the lightning creature beyond just the rod?" "What does the cube actually do in detail?"
Dredge: Your Locate Creature turns up nothing, as you suspected. At a minimum, this means that Lot is further away from you than the spell's defined range, but you suspect it to be more complicated than just a matter of distance.
Nox: The Griffon goes to town on the shelves while the hawk observes quietly. Your Detect Magic ritual mostly picks up yourself and your companions and their belongings. There is also the large liquid and stormy ceiling, the four orbs that were part of the Nagpa's ritual (look back at the relevant post for a refresher), and a few tomes on the floor or walls (most likely simple/minor arcane locks, ribbons, parchment, etc).
Bone: Plenty of small simple keys and false books here. The keys open journals, tomes, small chests, etc. The false books that you can open contain daggers, powdered copper, some fleshy bits, and other spell components of small value. You get a feeling the Nagpa wasn't the best at organizing his belongings. But who knows, perhaps some of these tomes might be worth a read if you judge you have the time for them.
Talon: The two dials on the face with the runes turn in opposite directions. You hear mechanical clicks from within as you turn the dials. Some of these clicks are accompanied by a magical change in the center image. The original, a sun, changes to a leaf on the fourth click then back to a sun with the next click. It remains a sun for the next two clicks at which point you stop moving the dials to take stock. You could hear and feel the other five faces of the cube shifting as you click away.
Verdict kills the Nagpa quickly. Just as rapidly, the victim is re-blessed with momentary speech. His not-so-mangled face lets out sound more easily than Furloth did:
-> What is Lysanderoth besides someone of import? "I have never spoken to or seen the man, woman, or thing Lysanderoth is. I learned to fear it from what Furloth would relay."
-> What type of sacrifice is required to make use of the cube? "Permanent magical power needs to be forgone. I've only dabbled in letting it consume a magical item here and there. The more you give the better the outcome."
-> Are there more of your species working with Lysanderoth? "Yes. Hundreds... no, thousands of us! You will all die soon, and permanently too."
-> How did you control the lightning creature beyond just the rod? "Wouldn't you like to know, weakling. It matters not, your feeble mind would never understand it" (totally meant to spite you).
-> What does the cube actually do in detail? "It is a Skeleton Key of sorts. It lets you travel within this ever-changing dungeon with some degree of certainty, if you know what you are doing, that is. If you don't, you might end up in The Nine Hells instead. I wish you do."
A faint evil smirk, as much as a beak allows, adorns the Nagpa's face as he falls into eternal slumber once more.
Vigilance flicks her tail in agitation, but otherwise kept her calm on the surface. As the magic fades, the goataur tries sees to it that the Nagpa's retreating spirit hears a smug sounding 'Thank You'. Seeing Nox go running off not long after, Vigilance stomps a hoof and growls. "I really wish you all would stop doing that." Is muttered, than aloud she says, "Lets be after them then. We can save further experiments for later."
Loaded and ready, she follows along, but keeps a distance from the lead if she can to avoid her clanking armor and the goods on her back from announcing her presence too far ahead.

"Where is everyone going? Did I miss something." Talon make sure he has all of his important items and trundles along behind Nox and Vigilance. He casts message at Nox "Do you have some idea of where to find Furloth's quarters? I assume that is the first place to look for hidden passages!"
Vigilance pauses at the top of doorway to say, "You do realize that we're at the top of whatever this structure is, right? So, unless you intend to play with that box more and manipulate that--"She points up to the still ominously swirling ceiling above. "and create an exit. Best we move on down for now to see if we find Furloth's office. Perhaps even free a few more prisoners to aid us on the way."There is no waiting a longer moment after that for her before cantering down the stairs with unsurprising ease for a half-goat. Maybe.
Led by Nox, the group heads back down the stairs. The moans and screams of other prisoners can be heard through the walls as you move down, just as before. At some point while traversing, you realize that you are past the point where you should have reached the landing to the floor where you were imprisoned, but that never happens. Many minutes pass without a single door or opening being revealed until you hear from below the sound of grinding metal and chains being pulled. You continue to move down and eventually catch up to a moving landing/door, which you recognize ans the doorway you passed through when leaving the circular room with the cells (staircase A from back then). You can see it below you in the distance, but you are gaining on it. There are no doors adorning the large door frame, just as you recall. The metal sounds are getting louder as you approach.
Dredge's spell still cannot locate Lot.
EDIT: Just to be clear, you can either stop at the landing and explore this level or continue to go down the steps. I'll say that Nox, the first person in the marching order, is now a good 30 feet away from the downward-moving landing and open doorway.
While running downstairs he replies to Talon message"Nope i have no clue at all i only know the key to freedom wasn't up there."
Seeing an opening he walks back to his Griffon and walk behind it he then goes sitting on the stairs. "If there something infront shake me awake" he message telepathicly to the Griffon, the best not in acknowledgement. He then use his familiar hawk senses and sent it into the room making the the tabaxi blinded and deafened.
If Vigilance grumbles a little, but refrains from trying to squeeze past both the sitting Tabaxi AND the big butt half-bird in the way. But she curbed annoyance, and settled for at least stepping aside if either Bone or Dredge decide they wished to continue on past further down the stairway itself.

Furloth's raspy voice comes out with difficulty from the recently repaired jaw.
-> How do we get out of here? "Through... the... walls..."
->What are the other dangers in this place? "Armory... Stables... Tombs... Arena... Labyrinth..."
-> What do you know about a magical cube that was in the possession of the bird scholar? "Key... Portals... Sacrifice... "
-> Where are any secret passages known to you located? "Tombs... Furloth's... Quarters..."
-> Where is Lysanderoth? "Not... Material... Plane..."
With that, the arcane power fueling the gith's responses expires, and the former master of ceremonies slumps lifeless onto the ground once again.
Sensing the energy wane, Vigilance places a final kiss atop Furloth's bloody skull, whispers a final few words, and then gently lowers him upon the ground.
