It seems that the brightest source of the fire, around the floor surrounding the door, seemingly blinks out. However, the frame of the door had ignited and needs to be doused. Everyone is suffering the smoke, but can hold their own. Skoona turns out of a room holding two buckets filled with water. Alan follows behind her with two more buckets. The waitstaff that was in the side room cleaning up what was left behind after Dead-Eye was thrown out unceremoniously, shouts, "HERE!" and hands a filled bucket to Snap! He and the other waiter start running towards the back to get more buckets, passing by Skoona and Alan as they do.
Alan cries out, "Clank! Smother the fire!" The animated armor comes to life and using its gauntlets, begins to slap at the wood frame, trying to pat out the fire, or at least keep it contained....
// Snap and Oswin, as you are currently focusing on the fire, please roll for me a perception check at disadvantage. Dar and Tzo-Tzo are close enough that they too can roll perception checks, but as neither are part of the 'bucket brigade' and close in on the fire, can roll straight perception checks. I assume that Keth is outside about thirty or so feet from the door.
// Perception Check for Oswin...13, (forgot disadvantage).... 16
Dar stares into the growing fire, bliss upon her face.
The bucket gets handed off to Snap with a cry of "First Bucket!"
Tzo-Tzo, smells, almost as much as sees, the bucket and notices that it's the bucket recently used to clean the mess left by Dead-Eye's evisceration at the hands of Keth. It's a bloody mess.
Snap, set into the moment focusing on action, does not note that the first bucket to be used is as much blood as it is water.
Receiving the bucket from Snap, Oswin, despite the flames, immediately realizes that if he throws the bucket on the fire the splash back will likely cover he and Snap, as well as anyone just outside the door in this viscous irony mixture of water and blood.
Oswin is holding the bucket... The fire is around him... What does he do?
Where's Keth? Is he returning to the tavern, last we checked he was forty or so feet from the door, having chased the pirate out but stopping realizing that his prey was running at full blast back to the ship.
Keth waited for the guy to get out of site then put away his axe and walk back to the inn.
//Any chance there is a horse trough of rain barrel around?
Keth, walking back to the tavern, notices an open barrel filled with water that seems to have trickled down from the tavern's system of roof gutters above.
Tzo-Tzo deftly removes the bloody bucket out of the way. From outside the building Keth calls out about the barrel full of rain water. The party quickly organizes and with help from a few of the braver staff make short work of the fire.
Keth, Oswin, Red and Tzo-Tzo, somewhat covered in ash breathe a sigh of relief. Dar is standing off to the side with a slight smile thinking fondly of the sparkling fire.

"I know what Captain Zodge wants - a hotbed of cultist activity, specifically, those who follow the Dead Three. I happen to know where that is and I will be happy to tell you... IF you help me deal with some friends of mine," offers Tarina.
"A ship arrived this morning to our fair docks: The Uncivil Serpent. Her captain and crew are here because they miss me so very much. I was going to duck out of the tavern when they arrived, and then the city, but now, that all you fine folk are here, better to just take the head of snake, so to speak, and not have to worry about this ever again," Tarina states with a wicked smile.
Tarina concludes flatly, "You help me get rid of them, and I'll tell you what I know about the Cult of the Dead Three."
Having come down stairs to see the result of the party's handiwork, Tarina says, "Why don't you all come up and we can discuss that information you were wanting."
She slips back upstairs to her card game.
The rest of the tavern seems to slowly be slipping back into normalcy. Some coins seem to be exchanging hands as well. Those who grew up in and around Baldur's Gate realize that the impromptu bets sparked by the party's confrontation with Dead-Eye and his pirates are being settled.
"As I said, I've been seeing cult members of the Dead Three enter and exit the bathhouse and my sources told me there's a secret door that leads to a lower level... a dungeon, of sorts."
"Regarding what you may find down there? Who knows? But the Dead Three aren't particularly known for their altruism - they worship death in some form. If the Captain wants you stop these cultists from killing, I'm thinking you'll find a large group of them down there. I suspect it's their base of operations and this 'bathhouse' is serving as a front."
"And with that, I do believe our business is done. Just as well, I need to go talk to Nine-Fingers and let her know I'll be staying in Baldur's Gate a bit longer... Thanks to you lot!"
Tarina turns away and focuses on the game that has started on the table before her.

“I could certainly use a bath,” says Oswin. Once the group is out of earshot from anyone around, suggests, “We should go to this bathhouse. Stakeout the place from the inside. Maybe have a steam bath while we work?”
