"Oh! Um, no, I don't..." she begins to answer the Caretaker nervously. She trails off as Jogissa answers the man's line of questioning, her face growing brighter with every passing word. "Actually, I'm a little lost... it's my first time in the city... well, any city, really, and I'm looking for work and well -- pretty much what she said," Orina blurts out, pointing at Jogissa. "Except sober!"
As the Dragonborn reaches out a hand, Orina takes it eagerly and gives it a firm shake. "Oh! My name is Orina," she replies. "It's nice to meet you!"
Zacharias hesitates but a second before following the doctor. "I will have to commune with my Lord to know if he agrees with your assessment, but I can certainly help with the matter at hand."
Noldeme responds. "Well, alright. I was just trying to be polite." And then, she follows him along, noticing details about his race along the way, but seeing no reason not to trust him, although she kept her enhanced handaxe on her hand just in case, or she could use it against any threats that may appear.
"You've seen this place, right? It's insult to the people who have born onto the streets slick with filth to say gods play tricks. What's your business with me?" The half-orc makes to attempt to help him up. He looks as if he's resting his hand on his hip, but it is actually the handle of his dagger...
Leshanna: As you are stalking the coastline, keeping an eye out for any signs of structures, or those symbols Glerk was talking about...However, as your walking along, you spot a Bullywug hiding in the mud, which spots you at just the same time! It brandishes a crude spear and makes loud, vibrating croak. Roll for initiative.
Corvidae - Temple Sector:
Jogs & Orina: "My name is Jebidiah, and we don't have a "Station", unless you count the castle. We roam around, anything you want know that you can do, just ask. You can do your part by reporting suspicious activity, although I suppose if you want to be more active, I did hear a report recently, if you like climbing through wastewater. All of the guilds that are looking for work, at least for adventuerers are all outside the city walls. Most of them are looking for people to head into the great forest to retreive supplies, which is a good way to get started. They also look for trustworthy people to keep an eye on the wagon park, since even with near full force, there's not enough Caretakers to watch all of it."
"This is all for good payment, of course, mostly in vouchers. Also, you might be able to get away with being more...inebriated. I'll make sure not to report or seize anything, so long as someone is with you to keep you in check."
Resolve:
Zacharias: With your new connections and information, you now have 200 XP.
You manage to keep up with the doctors pace, and it's not too long before your at a wooden barricade at the outskirts of the city. You catch a waft of a wretched smell, and ahead you see two dog sized creatures, with long sharp claws, and the skin around their mouths melts from their gnarled face. Demons, for sure. They spot you as you approach, and charge at you with a wobbly gait. "You get the one on the left, I'll get the one on the right. Be wary, there may be more about." The doctor takes a combat stance, despite appearing unarmed. Roll initiative.
Greenport - Lush Mountiains:
Noldeme: After a short walk, you crest the mountain. You can see the tower looming in the distance under the moonlight, for whatever reason, it appears to be nighttime on this mountain. On the other side, you can see the Greenport lighthouse, alight and searching for ships. Ahead of you, the druid has stopped in front of what appears to be a moderately sized crater. "This thing, it is something that has fallen down. The fiends have some interest in it, but I know not why. Whatever it is, it belongs to the mountain, not them."
"Thank you, Mister Jebidiah... you're really helpful," Orina says gratefully. Sensing that his friendly advice to the obviously well-meaning but still slightly drunk dragonborn is also directed at her, she quickly steps up to Jogissa's side and wraps her arms around the other woman's elbow snugly. It's times like these that she's glad she has her firbolg size, because despite the other woman's friendly demeanor, she's still a dragonborn, and grabbing onto the arm of a dragonborn is more than just a little intimidating. "And don't worry, I'll keep my new friend here in check and make sure she doesn't get into trouble," she assures Jebidiah. "I don't think either of us is really up to a sewer crawl as a first adventure, right, my new-best-friend Jogissa?"
There's a little note of desperation in her voice; by the gods, but the stench of the city was already something else compared to the lush airs of the forest; if she had to top that off with a tromp through these peoples' excretions, she'd definitely lose more than just her lunch. In fact, going out to the forest to retrieve supplies is sounding better and better by the second.
"What about this job of scavenging in the forest? Would you be interested in joining me for that?" she asks Jogissa.
"I'd really like that," says Jogs, and let's herself be led around by the arm, her face split by an absurdly friendly grin. As they walk, she asks Orina, "Are you... bright? Are you... wise? I'm told I'm not," she breathes, smiling. "But the little folk say I'm special. People like me. I lift things. I break rocks. I mend pots. I protect people!" she yells, gesturing perhaps more excitedly than she should in the Inner City with the warhammer. "Which way to the forest? Are you bright?" she repeats.
Noldeme looks at the crater, her mind was already sure on what it was thanks to her patron's voice earlier. "So, you say it belongs to the mountain because it fell from heaven into the mountain? We don't need to take drastic actions here, but I feel like it belongs to me. Would you allow me to take a closer look?" She looks at the druid trying to see if she could peacefully convince him of that.

She continued getting closer to the center of the crater, carefully examining the surroundings, along with waiting patiently and hopeful that her patron would give some light on whether she was on the right path or not.

As soon as it became apparent (from the smell) that they were close to danger, Zacharias drew his shield. The symbol of Ilmater, two hands bound at the wrists by a red cord, is meticulously painted and slightly embossed on the front of the otherwise unremarkable piece of shaped metal.

Ulrich looks at the two, then turns to the Archbishop. "If I may, while you decide the other teams, I would like to speak to mine." He bows and asks with a wave for the them to follow him to a corner of the room. He recalls what he knows about John and Dula as they walk. He brings his hands in front of him so they can be seen. "I know what is said about me. And I know you do as well. It is the problem we make it. Or it isn't. If you have any doubts about me, you can trust that I want this to succeed, for us as well as the Archbishop. Tell me where you stand, the truth. Let's have it out and go from there."
Backstory: When Rey was a young girl she was taken from the orphanage she was in into a family. Unfortunately for her this family was a front for a series of conmen, thieves, and others who preyed on the well wishes of others. Rey learned from a young age to lie, cheat, and steal. They used her to earn more money and as she grew older, she was no longer as effective as a con as she once was, so they were going to find other uses for her. One day, when one of the other members of the guild attacked her, a storm that was rolling overhead came to a peak and a bolt of lightning hit a nearby tree, causing it to crash and kill her attacker. She took a branch to create a quarter staff, took a portion of all the money she had earned the guild and donated it, used her skills to create a false identity, and dyed her hair. She now travels around as a cleric of Kord, helping those she can, and trying to stay ahead of the guild who raised her.
Personality: Audrey Stormbreaker is an enigma to those around her. She is very complimentary to the people she meets but if they try to compare stories about her they find that the tales don’t always line up.
Description: Fair skin, dark curly hair that goes past her shoulders with light roots showing. 5’4”, slender and pretty, wearing battered leather armor, a war hammer on her back, and using a quarter staff scarred by lightning as a walking stick.
Location: Is originally from Blackport, but would want to get as far as possible. Not sure what city she would end up in but she tends to follow the storm. Most likely Glanyrafon, the weather would appeal to her.
Pito and Kita: The bush shakes your hand "Uh, that's Bush #1, thank you very much." he says, shaking your hand casually.
Verdue explains "Yes, great news, but uh, keep it somewhat of a secret, but it's already kind of out there." he goes into a half whisper. "Rumor has it, now, that Corvidae has recently come into possesssion of one of the acts of the Opera Caelorum, yes, that ancient lost play that every bard and his brother are trying to find, and the winner of the performance competition will be the ones to perform in their operahouse? Can you imagine such an oppurtunity, every bard dreams of history, but nothing is quite like this! Oh, I cannot wait to go, I've been practicing all my life for a chance like this, I'm a shoe in for the role of Stoneshield, don't you think? "
Pito stares at Kita a bit when she doesn’t introduce herself, but continues on.
“Well that sounds amazing. Good luck to you! We were going to see about getting a sponsor for this,” and Pito shows him the poster. ”I hoped someone here would be willing to help...?” Pito leaves the question hang.
