Greenport-> Tetsuo's Tunnel:
Knowing the risks of entering this cave, Noldeme makes her longbow appear again in her hands. Then, she heads in on the front, letting Nae take the back as she starts making her way through.
Mikal pauses before answering that questiin. "It depends if you have a spareroom, changing plans now would mean finding another place to sleep. Or I invite you here at the Inn for something to drink, then we can talk some more. I must say I'm not much of a teller, but that's solved if someone else could do that. And you could point me to the most interesting places around here, as you probably know more about the area as working for the newspaper."
Now, Zacharias looks alarmed. He takes a step back, shaking his head a little. "A god?" His eyes search the Enn for some kind of sign that he isn't hearing what he thinks he's hearing. "That's ... that's blasphemy," he almost whispers. "I cannot become a god. We worship the gods. I worship you! You are my god. You are the savior. You give me direction and guidance to do your will. I cannot give guidance. My will is your will. I cannot not have my own will." He turns and walks a little ways away from Ilmater, his eyes downcast and searching. Turning back toward his master again, he frowns and actually points a finger. "Why are you tempting me like this?" he asks, anger tinging his voice. "You can't be Ilmater. Ilmater would never say these things." He steps forward, his hands balling into fists at his sides. "Where am I? How are you?"
I, awoke. I was in a small one room building built of mortared stone walls supporting an arched cone shaped wooden beamed roof. Half of the room was given to tables, a forge, and work stations all cluttered with tools, books, papers, and partially assembled or dissembled mechanical constructs. The other half of the room is divided into two areas by a wooden partition. The first is a small kitchen area with cabinets, stove, sink with piping, and a table. The kitchen also has two doors, one about five feet wide and tall and the other about two and a half feet wide and three feet tall. I somehow know that the large door is the exit from this building and the small door goes to a small lavatory. The final area has a wardrobe, dresser, desk and bed. There was a small figure under the covers in the bed. All of the furniture is tiny compared to my own form and size. Looking over myself I found my arms and legs, my torso, in fact all of myself I could see seemed to be made of brass, bronze, or steel with symbols or sigils I do not understand in some places. I was standing in a dark blue colored circle with more symbols or sigils written around it. I called out to the figure in the bed, "Hello?". My voice was in a tenor and had a slightly artificial buzz to it. I did not understood how I knew that. The being in the bed did not move or reply. I tried again louder, "Hello?". Still I received no acknowledgement. I stepped forward crossing the circle. Immediately I felt heavier, but could think clearly as if a fog lifted from my mind. I moved quickly to the bed in a noisy manner. The figure did not stir. I removed the covers to find an elderly expired male gnome in his night gown, who seemed to have perished happily in his sleep, based on the smile he wore and his eyes being shut. I place the covers back over the gnome and began to investigate the room around me. On the desk I found a letter, I presumed to be for myself. "Greetings my creation, my self, my son, I apologies for not giving you a name, but I feel it to be vital to your growth as a sentient being that you find your own name along with other information about both yourself and the universe around you. I have given you certain information that you will need to make your way in the world on your own. I would have preferred to have left that out and raised you to learn such things on your own organically. Unfortunately I did not have anyone to raise you in such a way and I myself needed to pay the cost of your awakening to sentience. That cost was the life of another sentient being. Do not struggle with that. I had lived a full life and was close to my end from age. In some ways I will continue to live on in and through you. You will be your own being though as I have given you none of my own unneeded memories. You may take anything you wish from this house when you are ready to leave. When you leave simply step out the front door. You sill find yourself in a world some where in the multiverse, I am not sure which one. You will not be able to return through that door or to this house until you have grown sufficiently to create others like yourself. You have a mirrored fractal memory. If I did things correctly, when you are ready to create others like yourself you will be able to create two, but at the cost of your existence. This is the wonderful part once there are two of your kind and they reach the point of recreating they also will produce two, but now there will be at least one left to raise and teach them. I there fore press you go forth into the universe, learn, grow, understand, meet others, have relationships, take action, and when you are ready return and create. Your creator, yourself, your father." I packed the things I could find I thought would be of use and departed through the larger door, to find myself...
Description: A six foot two inch humanoid shaped being made of brass and bronze with steel scales and helmet, wearing a cloth tunic of white. There are symbols and sigils that can be seen in some of the brass and bronze section while other sections are clear of any markings. Two eyes in a face that shine with a bluish white light. One hand grips a spear, point up, being used as a walking stave. A mace rest at the waist on a belt opposite a crossbow and quiver. A large back pack seemingly stuffed with all kinds of tools, bits, and mechanical pieces rests on the shoulders at the back.
I toss my weapon, rushing up to my fallen friend. Pulling his body up out of the water as best as I can manage, I lean in close to hear what he might be saying.
”You’re going to be ok, buddy! Besides, we still have to find the treasure!” I attempt a smile, taking the skin of liquor from my pack and pouring some carefully over his wounds. I see the bare muscle contort as alcohol makes contact. I take a swig for myself. His torn flesh lets out an audible fizzing sound while the liquid runs over it. Medicine?: 14
If this doesn’t stabilize him because I don’t really understand how the medicine skill works...
I hang my head, defeated. Tears streaming down my face. I brought him here and now this temple will be his tomb, poetic in a sense. Together, we sit in the dark, dripping cavern waiting for the inevitable. "I'm here. I won't leave you."
In the silence, words ring in my head. softly at first, like a song heard from behind a thick door. But then the door opens and the song fills the room. There are people dancing and shouting and drinking in celebration. The crowd sings again and again, When whistled, and shouted, and called by name; more rapid than eagles or coursers I came
My eyes shoot open.
With renewed hope, I fumble in the darkness for my sword. “That’s it, Rattles! You’re going to be ok! We’re getting out of here and you’re getting help!”
Holding my friend tight to my chest, sword in hand, I sing back to the party of revelers.
Orina and Jogs(Bunny Batallion) | Rabbit Warren Dungeon / Trial of Ratio and Scale
As everyone gets back into the aperture room, Jogs reopens the middle door, then goes to the knobs, turning each clockwise by the same amount in an attempt to get the projected light to not only be a perfect square, but a square of light that fills the cubical notch in the far wall across the pit.
Before they decide to head in when Nae asks about the longbow, Noldeme responds. "Huh... It's difficult to explain... I'm not quite sure how I do it myself, but let's just say I learned how to do it."
Xamodas: You take your bearing, you do not seem to have anything, other than some simple clothing with some strange patterns on it. There are three moons in a sky with more star than you've ever seen, if they are even stars at all. You manage to look away from the coast, you still feel quite numb, it's a bit like moving with heavy weights on, but the feeling is quickly fading. There is some sort of structure, barely lit by moonlight, and you can see a silhoutte...it moves, out stretching large wings, taking to the air, and landing with a massive gust, spraying sand in your face. A rippling, familiar draconic voice speaks to you "So, you are finally awake." You clear the sand from your eyes, It is your draconic guardian, who you've not seen in a long, long time.
Corvidae - Rosebush Tent:
Dordis: You flip through your notes, but your notes on Illmater are nonexistent, there might be a passing reference somewhere, but it's not something obvious. However, you have a pretty lengthy chapter about JUDGEMENT OF DEAD. There are nine demiplanes located in the Zeitgeist, where, depending on the nature of the death, the soul will wait there, until it either passes on, or acquires some means to return to it's earthly vessel. There are footnotes about the Aspects going there to guide the souls of their followers.
Tetsuo's Tunnel:
Noldeme & Nae: You slowly make your way down the tunnel, keeping an eye out for any danger (Encounter roll: 72 )
You walk through the tunnel. You as you are walking, you see a dark sploch against a wall in the shape of a person, resting with in the the thinker pose, hand against his chin. At first you dissmiss it as only a shadow, but then, you realize you brought no light with you, and it stays there, and you think you see it's hand move and scratch it's head. It doesn't notice you. What do you do?
Redport:
Mikal: "Sorry, I gotta get back home, but if you do go anywhere, take notes, and make sure you write it down, and come to my buisness. It's called Write On Time. Tell you what, I got a perfect line for you to follow: You didn't hear it from me, but there is a settlement nearby where they were thinking of opening a new prismaticite mine, but there have been frequent delays, and both samurai and red lions have both been dispatched to check the place out. Bring me back some good material, and I'll take you up on that drink offer."
Blackport -> Corvidae:
Leshanna: You stalk through the woods, without a sound. You see what appears to be a man with scraggly hair & beard, and clothing that is dirty and stained, standing over a humanoid body. He has a knife in his hand, which is currently working it's way along the straps of the persons armor, removing it piece by piece. He does not notice you.
Corvidae:
Iam: You step out from an alleyway, out onto a busy street. A dark castle sits on high to the north, and to the south, The Tower looms. You pass by what looks like a large stadium, there are quite a few buildings undergoing some sort of construction here. There are many different faces, perhaps a diverse population, or a location commonly frequented by travelers, or both. A brown haired human man in a tuxedo vest wearing a golden feather pin approaches you, pointing at your weapon. "Excuse me sir, we don't allow people to take weapons around here, and I'll have to ask you to remove that mask." You are not wearing a mask, he must be referring to your face.
Access Tunnel:
Yaw: You do what first aid you can on the fly, at least to make sure he keeps breathing while unconcious. (Yeah, medicene for this is basically, above a 10, they are stablized, but below they don't and might even take a fail if it is low enough) He is stablized, but still unconcious. (He will awaken in 4 hours, unless he is healed, then he will wake up immediately. Do you still wish to attempt to be recalled?)
Dungeon: Trial of Ratio and Scale:
Orina & Jogs: ((Alright, I understand what you are trying to do, so I won't drag this on.))
When the door is open, the knobs don't turn, but once you are all out, Grr closes the door, and the knobs spin again. You make it a perfect square. Grr reopens the door, and now the blocks are perfect cubes, blocking the light perfectly again! You would be pulling your hair out if you had any, but let's be honest, Jogs just pushes the block out of the way at this point. Light fills the hole across the room, and a small panel pops open on pedesdal of the aperture. +150 XP for puzzle progress.
The Enn:
Zacharias: "Well, I am supposed to be Illmater, at least, I can act and look as you would expect, to a point. Truthfully, Illmater is but one of many names I am called here, I am more appropriately called the Aspect of Perserverance. Illmater is a god from Faerun, quite different from the gods here. I share every value, every virtue with him, but no,I am not the true Illmater. I am not trying to mislead you, everything I have said so far is the truth. If you wish to be with that Illmater, I can take you to his realm, but he does not know you like I do, Zacharias, I am here because you believe in me."
Orina and Jogs(Bunny Batallion) | Rabbit Warren Dungeon / Trial of Ratio and Scale
"Hainsley, are you sure you're all right?" Orina says worriedly. "You looked... a lot less magical for a moment there, when we were trapped in the room. Make sure you stay behind me and Jogs when we go deeper into this dungeon, ok?" To GrrGrrFrr she says "You too. It was a mistake we made, not you, and it led to the discovery of how to solve this puzzle anyway, so don't feel bad!"
She then looks over the panel that popped open to see what exactly that was about.
(OOC: sorry, weekends are bad posting times for me...)
With Rattle’s condition steadily improving, I take a deep breath. Maybe things will turn out okay after all. Dragging him off to the side where we can hide ourselves more effectively, I keep careful watch for any other signs of danger while I wait for him to wake up. (Once he is awake I’d like to take a short or long rest so that he can recover health. Can he benefit from hit die when unconscious? The internet seems to be torn on the subject so its up to you of course)

Corvidae
Iam turns in surprise towards the tuxedo man. He keeps his spear pointed directly up. Responding to the fellow, "Iam, terribly sorry. I just arrived. I would be pleased to cap the spear point, if you have a cap or could point myself to a store that sells such. On the other possibility, if you could inform myself towards an area I would not be causing a problem." A bit taken aback by how to handle the second request pertaining to his face takes him a minute to address. "As to a mask, I assure you sir, this is my face. I could remove my helmet if you are willing to wait a little over an hour. Iam, however, a created being, no matter what I remove it would all be parts of my body. If you would instruct me as to how I can be in compliance with the will of your city." Iam will wait patiently to see if he was able to persuade the tuxedo man to help him.
Zacharias deflates. His shoulders slump as he squints slightly. "Aspect of Perseverance? What do you mean —?" He puts a hand to his head, the abruptly moves over to an empty chair and sits. "I have spent my life worshiping Ilmater. For generations, everyone at the compound has worshiped Ilmater. Yet ... yet you say we've been worshiping ... you? Aspect of Perseverance? Aspect," he repeats, the word sounding almost dreamy. "You said they wanted me to be an Aspect." He looks at the Aspect. "So an Aspect is what we would call a god? With power? What ... power ... would I have if I returned home?"
"Vrantvraks’vart," It is part whisper, part prayer, part greeting. It is not impossible to see the dragon, but it is very, very implausible. But for now, the wizard does not dwell on the reason or sense of it all. "It has been, what, two centuries by Material reckoning? How do you fare? What happened to you? What happened to me?"
Steady, Xamodas. Calm. He collects himself while awaiting a response. Generally not a joyful individual, the familiar face stirs memories of a happier, simpler (though not easy) time. Appropriately, he bows his head briefly and sits cross-legged, staring up at the timeless colossus. Now, in his time of need, his mentor and greatest ally has come to him.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Dordis shrugs disappointingly in his lack of information once again. Feeling let down from fruitless knowledge, he shows Areyo the entries of the JUDGEMENT OF DEAD chapter, "There's not much I can find here that's already known by us, I believe. The nine demiplanes within Zeitgeist, and the Aspects working as guides to the souls of their followers, I don't see that as relevant though." Dordis closes the book and delicately places it within one of the book slots along his pack. He makes a few notes on his blue notebook and continues with, " I am not certain I bring any new information on bringing back Zacharias other than the obvious solution, " He glances over to the doctor that had previously belittled his ability to protect himself and says, "do you have any way of preserving Zacharias' body of rotting too soon?" Dordis waits while he fiddles and examines the elven-crafted quarterstaff in his hands as he waits for a reply from Areyo and the doctor.
Nae holds a finger to her mouth and will slowly move her hand upward and points down the tunnel the way they came about 90 feet as her green eye glows a little and she casts Dancing lights where she is pointing doing her best to stay hidden. She makes the lights appear as one vaguely humanoid form and waits to see what the figure does
Ulrich starts at the sudden message, then answers. "Yes! People hurt, we can do nothing. Killed known threat, still in danger. Baron suspected. Send what you can and hurry."

"I understand, no problem at all Fan. I think I'll follow your lead, feels like a good start to explore the area here." Mikal gets out of the wagon and takes his backpack. He makes a sort of bow. Hell! You can hardly call it a bow, it's more like a long nod. "Thanks for the ride, hopefully we will see eachother soon. Oh, by the way, in which part of the city is your business located?"
As he greets Fan, Mikal walks towards the inn Fan was facing too. As he walks, Mikal looks around the surrounding area to see what is located nearby. Afterall, he needs to buy a pen and paper now. Perception check: 3

Orina and Jogs (Bunny Batallion) | Rabbit Warren Dungeon / Trial of Ratio and Scale

Long Walks On The Astral Beach:
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.

Dordis Falthenfyern
Tetsuo's Tunnel
Nae holds a finger to her mouth and will slowly move her hand upward and points down the tunnel the way they came about 90 feet as her green eye glows a little and she casts Dancing lights where she is pointing doing her best to stay hidden. She makes the lights appear as one vaguely humanoid form and waits to see what the figure does

Redport > Ryukan-Koom Inn
