"Well, anything?", Symon asks Kethra in Jairus, in common. He understands their conversation and approves of the interest, but feels no need to exclude the others from the question.

Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.
Jairus nods and does his best to relate the most important segments he skims to the others in Common. “Ma taught me the dwarf language.” When Kethra hears him speaking Dwarven aloud before translating to Common it is surprisingly “proper” Dwarven speech, where his Common is highly influenced by the rustic dialect of his rural upbringing, his knowledge of Dwarven is entirely “book learned,” and thus ironically much more eloquent than his primary tongue.
(Mirabaran dwarves are not related to these dwarves. You'll find no information about Ironstar dwarves.)
(Nothing on the other things I asked about either?)
Kethra will share any knowledge as well, as she was just speaking in dwarven to hide what they learned from the Delvers' caves away from any curious ears. Yet at the end her pale blue eyes fall, and she puts her chin on one hand, looking dejected. "Boo, this book doesn't really have anything, not even smithing!...anyone know anything about Mirabar?"
"What do you mean the book doesn't have anything? Surely it must be about something." Tyde scratches at his head perplexed.
"Mirabar, is that what the book has to do with?"

Jairus shrugs and produces the “noise makers” he found earlier, the Mirabar currency. “There was this stuff we found earlier in that dungeon, didn’t someone say it looked like money from those Mirabar parts? Not sure how that helps, but, we end up in Mirabar I guess we can buy lunch.” Jairus grins awkwardly as he taps the Mirabar “coins” together to produce a sound. “Funny things, ain’t they?”

If the book does not react to the currency's distinct sound, we'll try it again (closed, open to a random page and the other side while closed lol). Kethra will check over what the name of the ruler is on the currency and will cross reference the book for when it was minted. (Or if they don't line up, it might reveal that there is an illegitimate leader claiming to be the rightful ruler as cults usually tend to do?)

Kethra will lazily gesture Symon to come over and trade spots with him to sit beside Jairus, addressing them both in common, then in dwarven. "This is lame! You guys take a look. I was really hoping for some cool insights or even something shiny and magical. Look at this...I'm no good at this but can you guys look for compartments, secret codes or whatever? The cultists hiding under Red Larch took great pains to hide their Mirabar items...then there's this guy whose supposed to be excited to let everyone see his book yet getting jumpy at seeing us..."
"...don't take too long you two. We've got other places to be." Kethra gets up and with her face angled away from Endrith, gives the two a wink.
"What do you mean the book doesn't have anything? Surely it must be about something." Tyde scratches at his head perplexed.
"Mirabar, is that what the book has to do with?"
"Yup, it's all about Mirabar dwarven history! I don't even know anything about that place. Has anyone else come and looked at this book, Mr. Shopkeeper? Not just casually give it a look. I mean, they really took their time to reaaaally look at it, like us. We'd love to know of other people that have the same interests!"
Endrith does not appear to be hiding anything. Him being startled seems more a reaction to having such a large group come into his shop, business is usually light.

"You mentioned earlier if we were interested in buying it, just how much would you be willing to sell such a book for?" Tyde asks Endrith clearly showing interest in possessing the book if possible.
"Can you even speak dwarvish, Endrith?"
(if answer is no)... "Then what good does the book serve you?"
(if answer is yes)... "You know, one day some dwarf is going to come looking for that book hoping to use it to verify their heritage and improve their clan standing. They might not be so generous in how they go about claiming it."

Though he considers it a long shot, Jairus will Investigate the book while the haggling takes place, feeling for any secret grooves or compartments in the tome itself. Investigation: 18

Jairus, nothing seems unusual about the book’s construction.
"It's a book," Jairus says quietly to the others. "Might have useful information in it, but no concealed compartments an' the like. It's a regular old book."

Rubin shrugs and nods to the door. "Shall we go and check out our other lead then?" He asks the group. He is clearly less-than-comfortable standing around in a bookstore of all places.

"Fine by me," Jairus says to Rubin, though he waits to see how Tyde's efforts at haggling over the price of the book resolve before departing. "But maybe he'll get a reasonable price worked out on it, who knows?"

Nothing happens. Neither the currency nor the book are magical.

Womford is about 44 miles to the south east of Red Larch. Mirabar is much farther away.

He gives you the book and shoes you out the door.
