Rubin nods as the haggling is over and leads the way out of the shop. "Hopefully that book has something of use after all of that." He comments as they head off to talk to the man who saw the fresh graves.
Tyde is somewhat surprised that Endrith so quickly parts with the book.
Once outside and on their way, "I guess we can examine it at our leisure now?" Tyde will stow it in his backpack for now.

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
"Are we to head to the countryside now?"Glad to be clear of the buildings, Davian stretches his legs as they walk through the streets to the edge of town.
"Probably best find the one who spotted the graves." Rubin says with a glance around. "I for one have no clue where they would be located from here after all. Probably need him to guide us there..."
"Good idea Rubin, it would save a lot of time roaming the countryside." Tyde looks solemn and worried for a moment, "Who do you suppose dug those graves and who is in them? There wasn't any news of people going missing in Red Larch."

"Suppose we won't know the answer to that until we have time to look them over." Rubin offers as he heads with the others to speak to the shepherd who found the graves.
"Makes sense, lets speak to the folks who saw the graves and go check those out, those of us who read dwarf can take turns poking through that book during our downtime," Jairus suggests. "Let's go find them, and have 'em show us those weird graves."
He will read the book during Short Rests, going forward. If checks are needed to glean information, please advise at that time.
No checks needed, the book itself holds nothing of import. Keep in mind he also told you where it came from.
You were told to find Larmon (the shepherd) at Gaelkur’s, a rather seedy unofficial local tavern that also functions as a barbershop. When you arrive, he’s sitting alone at a table with a mug of ale. There are a few other customers scattered around as well.

Jairus says as a bit of a non sequitur, to his allies, as they approach, "I ought to get a hat. Tip your hat to people. That non-verbal like greeting, that's real badass. This guy's been places, he's done things. He don't say hello. He just tips his hat.. I could be that guy. Guy with a hat."
To the shepherd, with no hat to tip, he greets him with, "Howdy there, sir, nice day. Are you Larmon? You the one who seen them weird graves about these parts? We're fixin' to look into 'em, if someone can point us in the right direction."
"Yes, ah... what my friend and colleague means by 'look into 'em' is investigate around that area to try and determine who might of dug the graves and who might be buried there, not necessarily actually look into the graves themselves." Tyde orders a wine and joins Larmon at his table. "We were hoping you could guide us to where you found them?"

Larmon looks back, and waves you all forward impatiently—even though he's not moving very quickly himself.
"C'mon! S'is way. About two days o' travel, out in the hills. They're fresh, somethin' fishy happened. Been tryin' to forget I seen it, bad things happen to people who sees fishy things."

Tyde begins following the swaying, staggering drunk. "The quicker we get after it the sooner we will be finished with it, I guess."
After they leave Red Larch, Tyde asks Larmon, "How did you happen upon the graves? I mean what takes you out into the countryside? Are you a hunter or lumberjack?

Jairus will use the Wanderer feature of the Outlander background to ensure they find a proper path to the destination, as well as adequate food and water for himself and up to five people. If additional Survival checks are needed to supplement the Wanderer feature, Survival of: 12
Kethra will walk up to Tyde, in hushed tones she would say, "I'm so glad you're around, Mr. Tyde. I get so suspicious thinking there are cultists everywhere but you know just how to speak the business people and the country people, thanks for all your help."
Shivering a little at putting on a cloak that hasn't finished drying, Kethra takes a big breath and speaks up in a louder voice to Larmon, "Here, let me help you sir! Just lean on my shoulder here. I...need some company, anyways."
Supporting the drunken Larmon will cause a strand of white hair to fall in front of her face. With both arms occupied, she tries to blow it away. "Hey sir, is Gaelkur’s a pretty barber?"

OOC: Disregard Jairus' comment, as the negotiation did go well.
Jairus does not look a gift book in the spine, and quickly leaves with the others.

Larmon nods, obviously fairly drunk.
"S'right, what he said. Look into 'em. Sure, I can take ye there."
He gets up, swaying slightly, and staggers out the door.

Rubin grunts in amusement. "Guess we best keep with him..." he says as he heads out after the man.

Symon follows at a brisk pace. Grave diggers would be simple enough. None of this talk of cults and spirits.
Another medical problem. Indefinite hiatus. Sorry, all.

Larmon burps.
"Nah, Imma shepherd. Had my flocks round these parts all my life."

"Huh? Pretty barber? I'd say not, th' man's an ugly little rat. Not a bad barber though, I 'spose."
(And now, we commence fast forwarding through uninteresting countryside . . .)
