Baral seeing his partner in trouble, and perhaps in anticipation of Nock's next move, just a ways to the south while point his wand(13F). The flaming sphere is made to move and just barely reach its new destination. Drawing the tentacle rod next, and with help from a swooping in Timmy(now 9C) for the first strike, the wizard sets the tendrils upon Nock.
Bonus Action: Move and have Flaming Sphere leap over to 11C. Nock; inflicting 7fire damage. Dex Save(DC 15) for 1/2 damage. Action: Activate Tentacle Rod and direct only at Nock. #1 Tentacle Rod Strike - Attack: 24 Damage: 4 bludgeoning. #2 Tentacle Rod Strike - Attack: 11 Damage: 3 bludgeoning. #3 Tentacle Rod Strike - Attack: 23 Damage: 4 bludgeoning.

With that, as fire spreads now to a new boat, and the rest nearly consumes the others (1 rds remaining), the construct avian continues its assault upon Baral.

Baralkeeps his cool, and despite dangers, put away his wand to go rescue Olly. In the process he nearly catches a second beak attack in the retreat, but gets a shield up in time. Once close at hand to Olly, he grabs her and pulls her out of the deadly beam and thensome before releasing her to focus on moving and ramming the sphere into the raptor... to no effect. Timmy is meanwhile sent off to hide behind a wall(16B).

Olly after a quick thanks, puts her bow away and wiggles her fingers at the light, dispelling the beam of death that has haunted her so. Then she runs off as far away from the immediate dangers of both an angry paladin or evil birb(15K).
(Since Baral has to physically grab Olly, wouldn’t he have technically entered the moonbeam?)
(Also, moonbeam’s text is a little unclear. It says you take the damage when entering for the first time on a turn, not your turn. Are these the same thing, or should Olly have taken damage immediately?)

(Also, I’ve always been a little fuzzy on how initiative works in this format. If it’s who posts first, how do you handle botting both PCs? Because it kind of feels like they got rewarded for not posting, unless that was planned beforehand. And if we’re going by straight initiative, Olly would have gone first.)
(Finally, is there a ruling where you can choose to fail a grapple? I know before it was said saving throws don’t work that way.)
(Looking back at it, Olly did essentially imply she would wait to see if Baral saved her. My other points still stand, though.

Nockedges closer to his opponent from beneath the water. And while mindful of the aura of the flaming sphere, conjures bitter cold chill to try and compromise the Eladrin.
With that, the fires of most of the inner boats finally destroy the integrity of the boats, causing them to sink beneath water or fragment into so much floatsam. (4)... (16M) As if to rub salt in the wounds, Baral's previous engagement continues to peck at him.
(Kicking myself now for wasting all those dispel magics before. Because being a giant ape would've been real useful right about now.)

Olly limps out onto the the stone dock humming and singing a little tune that appears to put her in better spirits. She then takes a shot at Nock. If that's not enough to finally put him down, which it won't, she sighs and yells out to him.
"Just c'mon man. Now your just embarrassing yourself. Look, if you just surrender now, or at least ease up a bit there, I promise -- I. PROMISE. To fight you face to face next time. Really get in there, you know? Okay?"
Even if his response isn't a surrender, she still backs up just in case, believing at least some of her words go through to him, if only a little.

Olly mends her wounds a little through song. But breaking cover to shoot at a target underwater doesn't quite yield the best results. Yet, though her words are a little distorted from Nock's perspective, the feeling behind them yet gets to him, if only a little.
The effect is... 7...Nock has disadvantage on attacks against Olly next turn. Though determined yet to win, the idea of finally guaranteeing being faced like a true warrior gnaws at his nerves.
Baral just barely endures the chill of Nock's spell due in part to Olly's past encouragement. Realizing then just how close the paladin had gotten to the pair, the wizard gets 5ft closer and turns the tentacle rod upon his underwater foe and catch him twice! Then, he dips to the north and behind the wall, risking from mechanical birb just to get to cover(16i). Not long after, the flaming sphere is moved to the north a ways to cover the escape.

Nockcalls upon a miracle to bolster both mind and power, before then taking the scenic route around to get yet closer to Olly.
With that, the one burning boat off to the northwest continues to burn as another vent opens up at... (6)... (1M) and zooms out into the battlefield. Around the same time that Baral is being harassed by one(16H), the new arrival zips over and dives enough to peck at him through the surface(10H).
Olly lets her drum hang free in order to draw a loaded handcrossbow. Then hummed another tune to get herself in better shape.
"I was being serious, you know!"
Shen cantered her way to the edge of the docks and trained her next shot on Nock.
"But have it your way, punk! Keep being stubborn. Not that it matters. Yo slow arse couldn't save Koplony, and you sure as heck ain't gonna get me again before I sink ya!"
She yells, fires, and then hops her back to cover again.

Ollymends more of her wounds with song, and yet finds neither bolt or words reaching the paladin the way she wished it would as before, prior to needing to retreat again to cover. Only this time bereft of her last duplicate.
The effect is... 3... Olly's attacks next turn have disadvantage against Nock. Her focus is disrupted after so biting a counter that hard to get a bead on the paladin.
Baral on the other end of the equation, draws forth his last rapier to stab at the mechanical menace before him with great fury. The first attack being with the aid of timmy, who swoops in provide some assistance(16i). Together they do just enough to take the menace down! Though with that, his bladesong ends.

Nock will dash towards Olly, unless he can get to LoS on her or Baral without dashing. I don’t think I can on Baral with the wall, but not sure. If I can get LoS on both, I’d preference Baral.
If he can, he’ll throw some [spell]chill touch;hands[/roll] at her before ducking back down into the water.

Olly mends her wounds a little through song. But breaking cover to shoot at a target underwater doesn't quite yield the best results. Yet, though her words are a little distorted from Nock's perspective, the feeling behind them yet gets to him, if only a little.
The effect is... 7...Nock has disadvantage on attacks against Olly next turn. Though determined yet to win, the idea of finally guaranteeing being faced like a true warrior gnaws at his nerves.
Baral just barely endures the chill of Nock's spell due in part to Olly's past encouragement. Realizing then just how close the paladin had gotten to the pair, the wizard gets 5ft closer and turns the tentacle rod upon his underwater foe and catch him twice! Then, he dips to the north and behind the wall, risking from mechanical birb just to get to cover(16i). Not long after, the flaming sphere is moved to the north a ways to cover the escape.

Nock calls upon a miracle to bolster both mind and power, before then taking the scenic route around to get yet closer to Olly.
With that, the one burning boat off to the northwest continues to burn as another vent opens up at... (6)... (1M) and zooms out into the battlefield. Around the same time that Baral is being harassed by one(16H), the new arrival zips over and dives enough to peck at him through the surface(10H).

Olly lets her drum hang free in order to draw a loaded handcrossbow. Then hummed another tune to get herself in better shape.
"I was being serious, you know!"
Shen cantered her way to the edge of the docks and trained her next shot on Nock.
"But have it your way, punk! Keep being stubborn. Not that it matters. Yo slow arse couldn't save Koplony, and you sure as heck ain't gonna get me again before I sink ya!"
She yells, fires, and then hops her back to cover again.

Olly mends more of her wounds with song, and yet finds neither bolt or words reaching the paladin the way she wished it would as before, prior to needing to retreat again to cover. Only this time bereft of her last duplicate.
The effect is... 3... Olly's attacks next turn have disadvantage against Nock. Her focus is disrupted after so biting a counter that hard to get a bead on the paladin.
Baral on the other end of the equation, draws forth his last rapier to stab at the mechanical menace before him with great fury. The first attack being with the aid of timmy, who swoops in provide some assistance(16i). Together they do just enough to take the menace down! Though with that, his bladesong ends.

Nock will dash towards Olly, unless he can get to LoS on her or Baral without dashing. I don’t think I can on Baral with the wall, but not sure. If I can get LoS on both, I’d preference Baral.
