Ink surveying the situation, asks Rip as they're walking through the caverns, "Do you think I can copy that scroll you found into my spell book? Always like learning something new."

"So this is the source of the blob? I suppose we should follow the trail of blood... what color did they say it was, again?"  Ink begins looking around paranoid to see if there are any objects curiously hanging in midair...

Ink muses aloud... "You think that this blood is that ogre's that went running away screaming? Also, did anyone check out the pool back yonder?"

"Here you go Ink! hope it's useful to you"

//Sev and Marav are following behind bows at the ready. Letting the guy with the most hp left in front.//

Flint elbows his way to the front of the group, "So, following the blood trail then?"  Flint raises shield and starts along that passage.

You follow the sloped tunnel down and to the left, into a short cavern. A small waterfall pouring from the 8-foot-high ceiling forms a 5-foot-deep pool at the southwest end of the cave. Growing near the southeast wall is a patch of about two dozen green mushrooms.

Lying on the floor of the cave, by the pool of water, is the gigantic skeleton of an ogre, its bones picked clean of any meat and showing a blackish tinge.

"Well that's not foreboding in the slightest" Rip states sarcastically while drawing his blade, lit lamp in my off hand

“At least it’s not hungry anymore”

The floor was clean rock other than the bones and traces of blood. Turning around just in time, Ink sees a jet-black, amorphous goo sliding down from the ceiling of the tunnel and coming straight at the group!
