I’d wager something in relation to spellcasting mechanics.
We were given a small bit of that in the last OneTest, what with the grouping of Arcane, Divine & Primal spells.
Exactly what this would look like…I haven’t the foggiest idea.
I imagine spell slots would still be a thing that exists. But maybe this time around they'll actually put more thought into how spellcasting classes work when they multiclass with each other, cuz right now, multiclassing between the Dark Triad of Sorcerers, Paladins, and Warlocks kinda needs a revision.
Wonder if that has anything to do with the entire goddamn userbase for R5e rising up in a tsunami of grognardism and demanding that Wizards not actually fix or change anything while they're fixing/changing 5e.

I actually responded. Most of the stuff I did dislike or thought was racist, but just because its not for me doesn't mean it can't be for anyone else. And I'll play One D&D. Its just the playtest isn't my idea of D&D.
Oh trust me, Yamana. You'll get your way. I haven't seen such a strong rejection reaction for new content on this board in...honestly ever. I think I'm the only person on the entire board who didn't immediately insist the entire document be thrown out on the spot and somebody lose their job for okaying it. This first month's playtest cycle has shown me that "One D&D" is already doomed and there will never be any repairs made to this system. Wizards is not allowed to learn from eight years of play, the market's rampant changes since R5e R'd don't matter, and the entire initiative is dead in the water.

It's insane, but what else is new.
I won't. I wanted a big 5e errata, core book rework but nothing else, not 6e haha.
I didn't insist the document be thrown out either. I really really love the feats and backgrounds with some formatting changes and clarity.
EDIT: To clarify, by big Errata, I mean the base mechanics such as crits and spellcasting are the same, but the classes are reworked slightly, some spells and feats altered, the races updated, the art improved, the lore fixed, and the DMG be made a little more helpful.

That's...odd to hear. Reception among the wider community (YouTube, Reddit, Discord, etc) has been overwhelmingly positive. There's two or three controversial elements, but the overall consensus I've seen is that it's mostly a step in the right direction.
That said, I've paid no attention whatsoever to how the Beyond forums specifically reacted to it.

The DDB forum userbase reaction has been nigh universally negative, and not "ambivalent-trending-negative" either. It was a giant nonstop screaming forum fire in here for three weeks, and only in recent days have people stopped trying to scream the entire document into oblivion. There's maybe three people on the entire forum who haven't decided the whole document is basically an Insult To All D&D. It's been awful. If the wider community is more welcoming, that's news to me. Welcome news, but still news.

yeah, Ive seen both sides cuz I watch your threads then the greater community, tbh it looks like there are a few things a lot of people dislike heavily, and then the rest of it is the normal state of, the few being loud, and seeming to throw off a lot of negative vibes if you don't have access to everyone else's veiws

They don't like the way things are, but they don't want 'em to change, either.
I don't think it is that they don't want things to change, it is just that no one can agree as to what should be changed and how. Every table has it's own rules so it is only reasonable to expect that everyone wants something different when it comes to changes.

I also hope for more detail on class features on the next UA.
"Not all those who wander are lost"
Doesn't matter, looks like they extended the survey until September 26th.
So they're not getting any survey engagement. On the very first playtest in a series of eighteen playtests.
Cool. Great. Lovely. Why did I ever think this was a fantastic and exciting time to be in on D&D.
Please do not contact or message me.
Either that, or they're still getting enough surveys in on a daily basis to justify keeping it open.
Most popular speculation though, is that the next UA just isn't ready yet.

Frequent Eladrin || They/Them, but accept all pronouns
Luz Noceda would like to remind you that you're worth loving!
And YES. Most of the issues would apply to 5e as well. Just some were more accentuated by this playtest.

Probably a lot, I'd say

This is WotC's target audience.
...and this is not.

There's a reason I don't engage much around here.
It's nothing unique to D&D that a fandom's most passionate participants are also the most critical of systemic change.
