Why is Fizban's Treasury of Dragons listed under romantic fantasy on amazon? I guessing it probably not mainly a romantic fantasy but I would like to know if it is or isn't, because I might not buy it if it is?
That's kinda funny. Might be some odd genre confusion. For one, historical scholarship speaking "romance" is not limited to "lovey dovey" stories. It just means it describes human beings in a sort of "elevated" not low realistic fashion, and things like ideals are often a big theme. A considerable amount of iterations of Arthurian lore are classified by scholars as "Romance" (which also tells the linguistic origin of a lot of those stories ... i.e. France because Romance languages, but that's going far down the language tree).
And all that aside, heresay from people hyping stuff learned from review copies under the spoiler tag:
I've heard the "original first world dragon myth" being revealed in the book does posit Tiamat and Bahamut as something akin to what more mundane mortals would inaccurately relate to as lovers, but its mortals only reference point, and the separation of dragon kind is a sort of romantic tragedy. Dunno how true that is, but it's been a response to readings of that myth folks have been making off of review copies as part of the hype train.
Tasha's is on the same list in the like the 30s IIRC. And some are definitely "lovey dovey" romance books, but it looks like there's a fair share of more humdrum fantasy.
Who knows, maybe Jeff Bezos is torn between identifying with Bahamut and Tiamat and has been locked in a poetic struggle of angst between space rides.

This. Their search engine is a joke. It always lists things completely unrelated to your search.
Given how bad it is, I strongly suspect it might be deliberate under the mentality that if they show you other stuff too (particularly if there isn't much that fits your search parameters), then maybe you'll want to buy one of those unrelated products. Frankly just annoys my wife and I.
Normally I'd say attribute not to malice what could easily be attributed to incompetence, but this is likely given targeted adverts these days. Mind you, I don't think it's much of a stretch for some sort of AI - or whatever program is being used - to designate this genre as "romantic fantasy."

Zero is the most important number in D&D: Session Zero sets the boundaries and the tone; Rule Zero dictates the Dungeon Master (DM) is the final arbiter; and Zero D&D is better than Bad D&D.

I suspect that it's a linguistic mix up. Alternate definitions for "romance":
- a medieval tale dealing with a hero of chivalry, of the kind common in the Romance languages.
"the Arthurian romances"
- a work of fiction depicting a setting and events remote from everyday life, especially one of a kind popular in the 16th and 17th centuries.
"Elizabethan pastoral romances".
I'm assuming that it definitely said romantic rather than romance which would be a mistake. TLotR was intended as a romance, for example. Still, I wouldn't put it under romance, being a game reference book, but there's a reason why AIs aren't ruling the world just yet!

Seems time for another public service announcement to encourage buying from basically anywhere that's not Amazon. Preferably a local gaming store, which does so much more for the hobby as a whole.

If you can name them, that's great and I'll look into them. I have maybe Waterstones near me, who tend to be expensive and unreliable, world of books is similar, and the nearest gaming shop (apart from the one for Warhammer) is in our capital city, which isn't anything I'd call convenient.
Amazon is generally the cheapest and most convenient.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.

The dragons are for the bards to add to their waifu catalog... That's why it's romantic fantasy.

Amazon's organization system is weird.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

Netflix used to say Star Trek Enterprise TV show had nudity lol. (it clearly does not haha)

Three seconds of a character who's seen without a shirt from behind in dim light will get a show tagged for nudity by American TV standards.

There was also T’pol shot from the rear view in gym shorts that was edited between East and West coast broadcasts.
As for Fizban, he and Burrfoot were rather close.
