What is your personal favorite wizard subclass, (this is for a school project) please answer the poll, post why you voted for what you did, and ask questions below!
Abjuration, Divination, and Bladesinging are my three favorites. All are a fun spin off of the classical blasty wizard.

I like Abjuration Enchantment Divination and Bladesinging - all for various reasons. The core school subclasses can feel very similar to each other - but that's why I typically heavily specialise when making a Wizard - to stop that from being as much of an issue.
I like Abjuration because it's obviously a very protective school - great support class while also being blasty. Enchantment is great because you can manipulate the battlefield in an instant to really turn the tables. Divination I love because if played well - they can just know and see everything due to throwing so many Divination spells out with Expert Divination. And Bladesinging - who doesn't want to play a melee Wizard once in a while?
None of the others really grab my attention. I don't have the imagination to play Illusionist properly - and Evocation Transmutation Necromancy and Conjuration all seem a bit bland to me - not really my thing.
As for Order of the Scribes. I haven't given it much of a look at all since it was released so I know next to nothing about it.
I'm actually not a huge fan of the core 8 schools, along with Scribe. They all feel same-y to me. Downside of all wizards knowung all spells.
I really miss 2e's opposition schools. I know they weren't popular back then, but now I can see the flavor that it would add.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
My personal favorites are divination and necromancy.
For divination, as a GM, I think it is a great class to use or draw inspiration from when creating an NPC that can drop hints and provide direction for the party.
For necromancy, I like having blindly loyal minions, and you can also cast Create Magen without decreasing your health.
I mean, that's fine, but since the School of Chronurgy is my favorite wizard subclass, kinda makes the whole poll moot for me and anyone else who likes the dunamancers. Oh well. C'est la vie

I kinda agree. In 2e, wizard and cleric were your only spell caster classes, and school selection is how you ended up with something like the modern day sorcerer, or bard, or warlock, etc. Now...
Now wizard has access to all the same stuff as they did back in 2e, even when other classes broke away from the wizard. But wizards got to keep everything. I'd like to narrow down what the wizard can do, mainly to give them a tighter focus and ability. They really don't have one now beyond "master of all arcane magics."
Divination is great (mostly for Portent), but Scribe is a close second for me, definitely the most wizard-flavored on the list, and War Wizard is a fun third runner-up.
This is too hard a choice for me. Even some of the ones I'm not into like Divination and Illusion are just due to the difficulty of coming to a shared agreement with the DM over what effects the more vaguely-worded spells provide. I find pretty much all of them compelling in different ways aside from maybe necromancy. That one has just never appealed to me, probably because if I'm going to have pets I'd much prefer animals to dead people.

Abjuration is really cool if you take a certain feat (Eldritch Adept - Armor of Shadows). Without feats, Divination.

I voted for necromancers, because although I am a dm when I was a player I always wanted to play a necromancer.
I will protect those I hate. Even ... even if the one I hate most ... is ... myself.

You forgot Graviturgy and Chronurgy. The Dynasty is disappoint.

And war magic, but who is counting?
War Magic is on the list? 4th for me. (It's not alphabetical order)

It's not. But just tossing it out because it's not. I run war magic differently than usual, anyways, so its not a good one to count
