I'm still learning the basics of homebrewing on this platform and as an exercise I've tasked myself with homebrewing the Dungeons & Doggies Dog Race.

There is already a homebrew race for exactly this new race available called the "Canine" by user LukeS7, but I wanted to do it myself to learn how to.

A feature called "Breed Abilities" let's you choose two custom abilities as level 1, but each ability only once. LukeS7 did it in his homebrew as I've seen, but I do not know how to recreate it. When I add an option, I can only choose once from all the options I create and I can't find a modifier that helps here.

Does anyone know how to do it?

You have to add a second option with all of the same choices presented within. Then people can select twice, and it should prevent players from selecting the same thing twice.

Add each thing as an option to the racial trait. Then in that trait, in "Character Levels where Options Known" put 1,1.

They will only be able to select each option once.
