I am making a homebrew magic item and I seem to have hit a snag. I am trying to give a special Longbow a greater range. I have added a Modifier:
Modifier Type- Bonus Subtype- Weapon Attack Range Multiplier
I have tried using STR, and fixed values of 1, 2, 100, and 800 just to see if anything changes at all and it does not. What am I doing wrong? Or does this do something besides what it seems to do?

Is there an existing official magic item that grants bonus range? If not, that modifier may be for a subclass, feat, race, or something else.
If there is, make a copy and see what modifiers it uses.
