I baked some elven bread recently, it's out of teh heroe's feast book. It came out perfectly.
I’ve never seen that book before. What’s it like?
It's a cookbook for dnd foods, elven bread, dwraven flatbread, iron rations, goodberry blend, It's pretty cool. Does anybody else think that if elves existed our world would be paradise? I mean, 1. they might be able to like, help with pollution, 2. they're elves, 3. their food am I right? 4. ELVES.
Istari, do any of you have encounters ready? It's been about two weeks since we had a LOTR encounter, and I thought it'd be nice to try another. I'm gonna set up a PBP thread for all LOTR encounters, so no one on the cult has to deal with the notif flood. It's easy to do an encounter, just post on the cult saying "hey, anyone want to do this?" and then run it on the PBP thread. I've thought up some basic rules for our encounters, that can be changed by the DM of a specific encounter if they wish (if you want to, post it in the post when you're asking for players). Here they are:
Characters levels 1-4 only. Any higher and it takes longer to type your Extra Attacks, big spells, etc. Simpler character means you can spend less time typing and more time focusing on the story.
Generally, its good to have 1-3 players per encounter. I've played with large groups and it takes hours to get through even a round of combat. If there is more people wanting to play, the DM can hopefully run the encounter twice (maybe on the same day, maybe the next day or even week).
This sound good?
Hello, anyone? This good? bad? Thauralen, Variks, Gradius? Do any of you have an encounter ready/almost ready to run?
Sounds good to me. I have an encounter I could run, but it'd need to be changed up a bit, and I'm already planning to use it somewhere else first. I'd run it as soon as I finish running it there.
Super! Since you have a LOTR encounter you want to run, you'll be given the title of Istari (Creator and DM of LOTR Encounters) in addition to the one you already have.
Nice! But only one of those will fit on my sig. Oh well! Encounter should be ready by the day after tomorrow! (probably)
Great! Take your time, there’s no hurry. (Put Istari instead of Hobbit in your sig, it’s a higher rank then Hobbit and looks more impressive :)
I just put all of mine on to show that i'm quite an active member.

EVERYTHING IS BETTER WITH ELVES!
Don't need to tell me twice. I would specifically have Legolas and Elrond, and Fili and Kili.

If the Witch King returned 100 years after the Return of the King, what would have happened? Here's what I think:
First, he would have traveled to the ruins of Angmar, since it is probably the most secure of the dark fortresses, since its so remote. Orcs would have started journeying towards him, since they are drawn to dark power. We can assume there were still a few orcs left in Gundabad after the War of the Ring, probably some scattered tribes in the Misty Mountains, and of course, all that was left of Sauron's armies by the sea of Nurnen. The Gundabad orcs would have joined him pretty quickly, being practically next door to him. The Misty Mountains orcs would have taken a little while, since they are probably somewhat reluctant to fight after the War. We can assume that the Mouth of Sauron would have heard of him and joined too. He probably would have had to travel to Mordor personally, since it is so far away. With a sizable army, his first order of business would have been to attack Arnor, followed by all the lands to the east of the Mountains, followed by Lorien and Rohan, and finally Gondor. He would have probably been stopped before finishing with Arnor, as Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli would have turned up and helped fight him, but there is a chance he could have actually destroyed it for a second time. I can't see him doing much more then that before all the Free People did him in.

I think he woud attack lorien first, i think he'd want to dispel what little elves were left as soon as possible.

He would have had to take out the Woodland Realm too, as they were both in an alliance and jointly ruled Greenwood (Mirkwood). Arnor would have probably been easier, as Thrandiul and Celeborn are very powerful.

I think 100 years later there would be very very very few elves left, not enough to fill a village I would think.

If the witch king had an army they wouldn't be that big of a problem, although for the record they are elves and legolas single handedly took out like half of the orcs in the battle for helm's deep, they would only need like 10 elves to defeat an army of orcs.
