Soldaer is tending and speeding the growth of a young willow tree. He seems to be guiding it into something, but it's still too early to tell.
Yazrin is still at the bar, conversing with Emrick.

Gwen looks over, curious at what he is doing
Soldaer steps back and nods at what he's accomplished. He pulls out a seed, and plants it rather close to the tree. Quickly, another tree sprouts, and he starts saying phrases in elvish and something you can't understand. Both trees start twisting, and merging together, slowing forming a beautiful spiral staircase, one that is literally being grown out of the trees.
Gwen slowly walks over and touches a tree *detect magic* "Is this druid magic?"
*Great...now I need to figure out what school this would be, lol...not a spell per se, but something Twilight Elves, especially druids are taught to do.*
Soldaer seems to jump a little. He was obviously concentrating quite a bit. He takes a deep breath. "Yes, it is, of a sort. All of my people have some level of connection with our forest home. Druids are taught how to shape homes and structures out of the trees, which is exactly what I am trying to do here."
*probably would be Transmutation like plant growth spell*
"Oh, I'm sorry if I interrupted something..." Gwen says, embarrassed. "But... um... its interesting to see that you can change nature so easily... so um..."
*Yeah...same conclusion I came to...just a higher tier of it, basically.*
*Also, this is within the safety field, a little closer to the lake, but still well within walking distance of the tavern.*
Soldaer leans against the tree-structure, obviously a little tired. He chuckles slightly. "It's fine, Gwen. Doing this sort of thing takes a lot of concentration, and a surprising amount of energy. I'm not sure how much more I should try to do today before going and resting." He smiles and chuckles again. "But when it's finished, it will be amazing."
"Anyway I can help?" The child asks, with a spark of wonder in their eyes
Soldaer chuckles. "Unfortunately not. It takes years to learn the basics of this level of magic. It took me nearly twenty years to get to this point of power with it."
"Mmm... who taught you? I have plenty of time to spare."
Soldaer smiles. "I learned the basics from the one who taught me to be a ranger, as part of the 25 years of training I spent under him. The rest was from various masters in my village, and a bit from my deity."
"A Deity, as in a god?" They say, suprisingly curious at the last part, and ignoring the rest
Soldaer laughs. "Yes, as in a god."
"So there are gods on this plane?" They say, excited.
"Yes, there are, although I hail from a different world, so my communion with my deities is slightly strained, but not terribly."
"Cool. From where I am from, all the gods either fled or are dead."
Soldaer chuckles. "My friend, Phantom, actually fought alongside some of the gods in the Creation War, although they weren't gods yet."
There's a faint pop as an adamantine shelled turtle pops into existence on a table and begins slowly crawling across it.
*Started off as a bored idea, ended up an actual character concept I'm intro'ing...*
Yacatl (Speak with Animals): Who are you?
The turtle looks up. It has a pierced ear with a mithral earing. "You don't need to bother with all that. I can talk." Its voice is ancient sounding and conjures up images of long gone landscapes.
"You never know these days." Yacatl responds. "Anyway, what should I refer to you as?"
"Piggleshell is what those who can't pronounce my name call me. So that's what you can call me." It speaks slowly and patiently.
"Yacatl. Are you unique, or are all your species possess such exquisite shells?"
"Do you see any other turtles wearing a shell like this? I am the only one in my universe, but since there are infinite reflections, it is likely somewhere else there are others who have mastered the way of the perfect soul."
"Mmm... no. You might be a paragon from the beastlands." They mutter aloud

"Who is Spawn?"
"The murderous gardener-devil I was talking about."
"Then lets go kill them."
"Supposedly they're super powerful due to being the right hand of Asmodeus or someth- OH [GP]. I signed up for some kill-Asmodeus thing a while ago... I wonder what happened to that..."
