It's JoJo's. The more you learn, the weirder it gets and the less it makes sense. Eventually, you just stop trying to make sense of it and go along with it
yes that's what you have all been saying I guess resigning and going along with whatever you guys say will just be easier than trying to comprehend the Jojo verse

That's awesome, although I have a hard time visualizing it at the moment.
Yeah I get that, I think I’m going to change it so that the specific method of activating the oils in the skin is what triggers the scents, just to streamline it a bit more as trapping scents and then releasing them is very constraining and doesn’t actually make much sense if it’s producing a whole effect. I could even just have it be that the oil produced is what creates the effect and and crop out the whole smell part, I’ll keep thinking.
Perhaps its that certain sensory signals of any kind can have a psychic or psychosomatic effect. Have you ever read the book Snowcrash?
No I haven’t, please explain!
In Snowcrash, there is a specific piece of information, which looks just like static, that will drive you insane. Mentally handicap you, leaving you speaking in tongues. It was specifically engineered from, if I remember correctly, the Tower of Babel's blueprints.
The book is a founding piece of Cyberpunk fiction and is highly interested in religion of all sorts.
Anyway, imagine an assassin with no eyes and sigils carved all over his body that make him invisible or turn people to stone or something like that. Effects similar to Pearl Jam could be done even without a Stand. A chef could turn people into monsters, maybe. A perfumer who can make people irrationally angry or melt their bones. There are real-life urban legends that if you put all 6s (or all 4s in asia) into a phone, you'll get a tone that will make your head explode.
Basically, cognitohazards. Not infohazards, since that requires there to be information contained within, but just sensing this thing will cause a biological effect.
Seems a bit "Rocket Tag"-y, you know, whoever hits first wins? It'll probably have to be toned down.

Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.
Ohhh that sounds cool, not what I expected and probably won’t pair with Aroma or whatever I name it, but that would make an awesome Stand power or set of powers, thanks for the explanations, I’m very intrigued!
Okay, I've got a second draft for the ability, it's been streamlined a lot and has pretty much lost the smell stuff, but it's still the same ability at heart, tell me what you think!
Ability Name: Myron Ability Lore: The magical oil Myron is a thing scattered in ancient mythology and superstitious healing practices, though it has never been accepted by modern* academia. The idea of the body producing a magical healing oil was declared impossible, and simply foolish pseudoscience by top researchers, however little did they know, Myron is a real substance, and has much more potential then they ever thought. It is an oil produced by the skin in very small quantities, and works passively to help heal wounds in the body, though when unstimulated this help is so small it goes unnoticed. Only very remote and ancient Pagan groups throughout the British Isles figured out how to unlock the full potential of Myron, and discovered you can activate the full healing, and even harming qualities of Myron by rubbing it in with a specific pattern and using the heat of friction to invigorate it. The oils stimulate cell growth in the body so they heal, but just as easily can be stimulated to cause cell decay by leaching moisture from them. What's more, the body produces more Myron in response to high adrenaline and cortisol levels in the body, almost as if it was an evolutionary technique for battle that activates in times of stress. However, with the modern world rejecting the superstitions and practices of old long ago, this magical ability is dying away, with only a few practitioners left.
*Modern as in 17th Century lol
I'm also going to be playing a character called Willanth Wekapipo who will serve as the primary Myron user and also like a guide for other players wanting to learn it. If you've got any questions or further improvements, please say!
*I don't know if I want to make a Viking that uses Myron, or a Turkey Oil Wrestler that uses it. Either way, I'll figure it out. Actually, I might make Viking Saxton Hale. I can see it all now,*
I'm trying to link it to a material of sorts since most parts have that (Stardust, Diamond, Gold, Stone, Steel) and I don't want to go with the Jojolion or JOJOlands route
Maybe something like The Pearl of The World, in reference to 1. The World is Your Oyster 2. Britain was the richest and most advanced country at the time 3. ZA WARUDO
I just realised, since the new thread has got Pearl in the title, and the Stands of the protagonists of each part contain the material in the title, Tonio could be a candidate for main character 💀

Oooh that's a good one, lemme think, I don't want to do a '[noun] of Brass' since that's what we had with the last two, any ideas?
