So, anyone got any preferences on setting for the open world thread? I'm stumped personally, and have been thinking of potential villain stands for ages but can't seem to come up with anything. I think somewhere remote in Britain could be a pretty cool setting, like Scotland or Wales or Yorkshire or something.

That depends on the setting in terms of the time period? I personally think it could be awesome if we had some kind of jojo's open world set in pre Three Kingdoms feudal Japan, but we could also do Britain or somewhere in Europe. Scottish stand users sound especially angry, as for Villain stands, that also depends on Time period. What Drizz saiid too, France or Spain might be good.

Ohh, that makes me think like French countryside or something, that could be really cool, Idk I just want to do a more sparsely populated, countryside area lol

I'm pretty sure the Joestar family does have roots in Scotland tbh so that could be really cool

Mmhm I hear you dude. Hopefully we’ll all get it started up soon!
Okay I've had an idea for a main villain, you guys can tell me what you think!
Name: Queen Dreslind of Clan Redrose Appearance: A tall, redhead woman rarely seen without her blood red attire and a chest plate bearing Clan Redrose's coat of arms. Personality: Ruthless and cutthroat, Dreslind seeks simply to take as much land as possible and acquire as much power as she can, no matter how much bloodshed has to occur to do so. In fact, she believes casualties are the sign of a hard earned victory, so in her book they're all the better. Stand Name: Scarlet Forest Stand Type: Close Range Stand Appearance: A 7 feet tall humanoid, with stag qualities, such as antlers, a snout, and hooves. It also has red rose vines coiled about its arms and antlers, with large fists on its upper arms. Its body is almost entirely in shades of red and maroon, and is adorned with various Clan crests about it. Stand Ability: Scarlet Forest has the ability to animate plants, and can animate up to an entire forests worth of plants. The downside to this is that the animated plant begins to wilt slowly whilst alive, leaving them only capable of motion for around 10 minutes, and if unanimated they almost immediately die. Characteristics of an animated plant may be curling red leaves, similar to the shades of autumn, or thick, congealed sap that looks like blood, which can be a hint on whether the plant has been awakened by Scarlet Forest or not.
It's inspired mainly by how part of the prophecy in Macbeth was that he could only be defeated when Birnam Wood walked, so I thought 'why not make a Stand that actually could make a wood walk?' It's all up to be adjusted though, tell me what you think and if you could give any improvements!
I think I'm gonna make an Englishman, an outcast, considering the Brits are commonly hated by the Irish and the Scots, and really just everyone, mainly because of the whole things they've done throughout history, but I don't know what to do for their stand just yet, and for their personality either, I'll have to see what I want to do. It really depends on what song ideas give me inspiration really. Anybody got any song suggestions?

'Nothing is beautiful because it lasts.'
'War does not decide who was right, but only who is left.'
(Oh actually, thought of something. Not a Macbeth character, but we don't have to be perfectly Shakespearean, only got a little bit so far)
Name - Alexander Orendust
Appearance - A Redheaded, and freckled man. A performer of Irish and British descent, most commonly seen wearing eccentric and attention drawing, stylish outfits, nearly always enjoying himself, with a massive grin on his face. He's not particularly strong but he's amazingly dexterous, taking advantage of his talents, a dancer more than anything. He's moved to the region looking for new opportunities, riches and more fun. He's frivolous and doesn't commit too much for long, but that's just how he is.
Stand Type - Ranged Type, probably, maybe Ability.
Stand Ability - A stand he usually uses for his dances to appear to be able to do things he usually cannot. It manipulates the air around himself in many ways, compounding it or increasing the heat within or cooling it to turn it into a mist. He uses it at the bottom of his feet to be incredible acrobatic feats, or to make himself seem stronger than he truly is by using air to push things he cannot. He can use it in more combative ways through, often shooting coins from inbetween his fingers to attack from range by compacting air and then making it explode out to propel it towards his opponent, accidentally becoming a practitioner of Spin as a result.
Are you telling me… we’re doing Shakespearean style renaissance British Isles?
my dream.
oh, also, is it okay if I played some form of villain?
No one is going to stop you, that's the thing about jojos, most people aren't immediately 'good', and usually follow some grey moral alignment, until they are fully pulled into being good.

I was thinking, since Jobah wants to use the Sea Of Stone universe again, and we're looking at Renaissance times, why not just have this thread be set at the same time as SoS? Also, to give it that open world feel and encourage travel, I think we should expand the setting to the whole of Britain. Anyway, I've also got another character idea, they're literally the most grey character ever (both in terms of appearance and morals) and kinda just act as a character to provide a plot point that players can pick up, being bounty hunting.
Name: John Peter Polnareff Appearance: An emancipated old man that is so ancient, his hair and skin look to be equal shades of grey, although he is rarely seen without his Stand activated. Personality: John Peter was a knight from 300 years ago, and after acquiring his Stand with the ability to prolong his lifespan in exchange for the lives of others, quickly began to slay as many enemies as he could to live forever, but has now reached a point where his age does not allow him to go out and hunt other Stand Users anymore (who provide the most life force) So, using the fortune he amassed over the span of what would be many lifetimes, he put bounties on Stand Users, giving money to the hunters in exchange for a Stand User to slay and gain longevity from Stand Name: False Knight Stand Type: Close Range (Worn) Stand Appearance: A silvery-grey suit of armour, along with a claymore, that appears around John Peter. Stand Ability: False Knight has the ability to absorb the life force of others through slaying them and use it to increase the lifespan of its user. However it does not keep them at one age, instead just prolongs their life, so the user still naturally degrades from age, just at a slowed pace. Stand Users provide more life force since they have stronger willed souls then a regular person.
I mean, no one is going to stop you, but I would recommend making more... original characters, just to have some variety. Idk though.
