Penelope is not my real name. It’s a social media name. I borrowed it from my friend when she quit using it on social media because I missed her and I wanted something to remember her by. Also, I like the character Penelope on Legacies, but that’s not where the name comes from.
”The Weaver” means two things. In Greek the name Penelope literally means “weaver” or “one who knits.” Also, I usually play arcane spellcasters, and in Forgotten Realms (one of my fave campaign worlds) arcane magic is referred to as The Weave.
I wanted something anonymous and easy to know it's me. One out of two isn't bad. Right?

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Thousands of things are sposta happen every day and never do, and thousands of other things that are “never sposta happen” happen every day. “Sposta” is a very, very dangerous concept. Sposta is very dangerous. And when I used to play a lot of FPSs, so was I. I needed a gamer tag to convey how dangerous I was. So... IamSposta.... 😉
My screen name is ChiefQuake, a name I compiled from two of my favorite characters: Chief Jim Hopper from Stranger Things, and Quake from Marvel comics. I also go by The_Hive_Mind, because I love the Tyranids from Warhammer 40k.
Eriniel was the character I played in the longest running campaign I have experienced to date. Eight years passed in real life and a year and a half in game. Characters progressed from first to roughly 17th level.

I am a professional oboist, so when I made my first online nickname many many many years ago (ahhh the old BBS days) I went with OboeCrazy to show my love of my chosen instrument. I changed it to remove the "crazy" part, as I want to be better about using negative mental health language.
I also grew up in a time when you would NEVER tell ANYONE your real name on the internet. While online security and privacy are still real concerns, it's now much more normal to use your real name as your handle. So changing it to LaurenOboe/OboeLauren helped removed some confusion in many of the places I hang out online.
I remember OboeCrazy. You also used an oboe-playing Kokopelli avatar back then.😁

As I have posted at least 5 times elsewhere, mine comes from my very first character, Ortan Fang.
That beautiful renegade half-orc assasin. His damage on turn one with suprise would just nuke an enemy.
He died when I tried to solo a dungeon. The floor was snakes.

Joel is a name I like, and Walruses are my favorite animal, so I put them together and had my alias.

Awesome!!!
It was my nickname at work when I started my rpg group.
Cool. I told everyone above where mine came from.
