A quick google search says that Metal Militia has been around about 17 years.
Cats as a species are much older than 17 years, and will exist much longer after Metal Militia is gone.
Compared to the amount of time that our fluffy little overlords have existed, Metal Militia is NOTHING.
NOTE: I would like to say that Metal Militia looks very cool. I have nothing against it, I'm just doing my duty as a cultist to praise of FLUFFY GODS.

I have had cats my entire life. Two sister cats, Pickles and Rudolph, have lived with me since I was one. Sadly, Rudolph died three years ago, and Pickles has become a bit more detached, but cats will always be special to me.
