Well I made the gingerbread cookies. Pretty decent for a first attempt IMO.
Ran into issues where the molasses recipe I used made half of what I needed, but was able to supplement with honey. And I'll have to ask a friend for her icing recipe since I didn't get it looking too pretty. (Functional and decent-tasting, but not pretty.)
Overall, something I'll have to make future Christmases too.
Also note to self: Get a gingerbread man cookie cutter. For my test the only cookie cutter I had was a Stegosaurus cookie cutter back from when I was a little kid. :P (It works, but not exactly Christmas-themed.)
