Okay so they're a species called stygians from a planet in perpetual twilight. The stygians are peaceful and non-warlike. Fry don't have a backstory except they're an artist. there's more stygian lore tho. Also the cyan bits glow
they are bioluminescent? YES!!! (I have a strange obsession with bioluminescent things)
YES! also they reproduce asexually, via light. The traits of the child are kind of random.
