Any divination or teleportation spell cast outside the Haze targeting a creature or location within the Haze automatically fails. Spell-based telepathic communications or effects such as the Sending spell transmitted from outside the Haze fail to contact a character within it, and vice-versa. Finally, Divination spells fail to reveal useful information about delerium, the Haze, the origins of the…

A billowing mist filled with glinting multicolored motes has settled over Drakkenheim, which adventurers call the Haze. To many, it feels as though the dust raised when the meteor fell simply never went away. Characters gain no benefit from taking a long rest within the Haze. Adventurers should be well rested before heading into the ruins, as they’ll need to escape the city to regain their Hit…

Walking through the rubble-strewn city streets, scraps of parchment and bits of faded street art still advertise the events, political intrigues, and foreign affairs of that fateful eve. Broadsheets from the day the meteor struck feature the headline “Queen Lenore’s Latest Outfit: Blue or Gold?” while scandals of Elyrian nobility and an interview with the latest champion of the Rex Colosseum…

A curious wooden statue, about the size of a child, stands alone, facing a forlorn corner of the desolate room. Vedaja are little constructs, usually made of wood or horn, and animated by rune magic. Conversations with Ham-Ham won’t take up too much time, but an elaborate plan to steal both his necklace and hat might.

Stink of tanning oil. Surfaces glisten with a greasy sheen. The tanner’s hut is an inauspicious wattle-and-daub building. Three 5-foot-diameter vats of oil rest upon stone fire pits outside the hut near the edge of the village. Inside the hut, in the center of the single room on the dirt floor lies a fire pit ringed in stone. Tanned hides hang to dry on hooks from ceiling trusses. Piles of…

Ivy crawls up the slender chimney flue, which lets out a gentle stream of white smoke.” When the party first meet the hags, the hut will look cosy and inviting because of illusory magic. The interior of the hut features a bloody dining table, a fireplace with a bubbling cauldron, hanging bones, wicker baskets and a chest.

The greatest of golems are formed of iron, stone, and clay, but the least of them are constructed of yarn. Balled and sewn into a vaguely Humanoid shape, yarn golems are among the first animated objects that arcanists learn to create, practicing with them obsessively until they master the basics and move onto more rigid materials. Yarn golems are friendly and playful, but risk foolishly…
