A 10-foot Emanation springs into existence around you and remains stationary for the duration. The spell fails when you cast it if the Emanation isn’t big enough to fully encapsulate all creatures in its area.
Creatures and objects within the Emanation when you cast the spell can move through it freely. All other creatures and objects are barred from passing through it. Spells of level 3 or lower can’t be cast through it, and the effects of such spells can’t extend into it.
The atmosphere inside the Emanation is comfortable and dry, regardless of the weather outside. Until the spell ends, you can command the interior to have Dim Light or Darkness (no action required). The Emanation is opaque from the outside and of any color you choose, but it’s transparent from the inside.
The spell ends early if you leave the Emanation or if you cast it again.

I have a few questions...,
"Creatures and objects within the Emanation when you cast the spell can move through it freely."
This would mean that missile weapons could freely pass from inside to out, but I believe extra rulings overwrote that, however is this the latest new 'gold standard' that overrides previous rulings, therefore you could shoot through it? Do previous external rulings hold sway still? I do believe that there may be some contradictions if that is the case?
"Spells of level 3 or lower can’t be cast through it, and the effects of such spells can’t extend into it." This is an interesting new addition. It specifically says spells, For greater than 3rd level does that exclude spell effects from sources that are not spells or may have in some way an equivalent level?
The spell has gone back to the original 10ft radius and dropped all discussion on hemispheres etc. One can only assume that a sphere cuts through all in that 10 ft radius sphere. Force is not mentioned at all. Could a team excavate that area entirely? Does it cut through everything else, no exceptions? If so it may broaden its uses considerably?
What happens if you were to be falling in open air for the required time and cast it, you would be held statically in place for 8 hours? (I wonder if you would take falling damage from the sudden stop when it was created?), would you fall through the bottom?
Currently on a sea campaign, if you cast it on a ship, would the parts outside the casting area suddenly prevent the ship moving? assuming that some parts of the ship would now be outside and cannot enter?
If you cast it on a small boat with an amount of water below you, the spell says "The atmosphere inside the Emanation is comfortable and dry, regardless of the weather outside. " Does that mean all the water is excluded or remains in it?
"The spell fails when you cast it if the Emanation isn’t big enough to fully encapsulate all creatures in its area."
So when we talk about all creatures we mean those that are part in and part out as opposed to all creatures, and creature is defined as an animal, and we shall ignore anything that is not a plant? Sucks if you happen to bisect an earth worm!
Obviously we can provide DM responses to all of these to adapt to gameplay, but it would be interesting to hear the official interpretation of how this is meant to be implemented. Subsequent to that different interpretations by DM's and players are welcome.
