I've created a character and I haven't had much problems with it until just now. I was editing my inventory and I noticed that for some reason my weapon proficiency isn't translating into the "add item" section. When I select "weapons" that I am "proficient" with 1) nothing shows up and 2) when I add a weapon that my fighter is proficient with (all simple and martial weapons) it only adds my strength modifier and not my proficiency modifier.
I am having the same issue, but I believe that it is tied to the simple weapon proficiency and martial weapon proficiency. The shortsword on my rogue is showing as proficient but the shortbow is not. Shortsword shows up as its own proficiency for the rogue and that works fine.
That is what I'm thinking. The simple/martial proficiency isn't flagging properly. This could be an item issue (items not flagged as "martial" or "simple" weapons) or it could be that the proficiency isn't translating through to the equipment page.
Just created a new fighter and I'm having the same issue where my strength modifier is applying to all weapons but my proficiency modifier is only applying to my unarmed strike.
Addl notes: characters are existing and had displayed correct before tonight. Wide range of weapon types (long bow, scimitar, trident, dagger). Tell me if you need a character link.

Proficiency is not being added to any weapon even when proficient. This is affecting all characters.
Most likely a dev made a booboo and this will be fixed soon.
There's no point adding "me too" - it affects every character made by every user. The "me too" is already implied.
Incorrect. This isn't happening to all characters. I'm the only one in my group tonight that has this bug.
So far from all the character shares on this very post, they involve either paladin, fighter, or barbarian (whether they are single or multi-classed). Perhaps it's related to martial weapon prof, but who knows until someone from the team identifies the issue.
People should continue to report until we hear back, so they can help better identify the issue. Furthermore share how they have worked around the issue, no matter how easy or simple it might be.

Hi there,
it works fine for my own fighters, so possibly some odd error or combination of things?
Can you link your character so I can take a look for you please?

My fighter is currently not considered to be proficient with ANY weapons (according to the equipment page)

Just chiming in, we have 3 characters with the same issue as well. First time I've seen this.
My character’s also not benefitting from weapon proficiencies Level 1 Human Fighter

Looks like the newest update trashed a bunch of settings, this really sucks.
Also experiencing the same issues. I've just added the prof bonus as a custom for now.

Thanks for the heads up - something went in wrong with the last deploy. A fix will be going out shortly.
