quote from maximuskeksimus >> i don't really know if this is a bug/mistake, but in monster list (all monsters, https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters) there are two different zariels. i think this is the same enemy, even in the baldur's gate table of content she's listed just as "zariel". @edit ok, i see, attacks are different
Same. New DnD Beyond User. Just bought Avernus. Can access on my iMac via web but its not even showing in the iPad app. My PHB IS showing in the iPad app, so I know the account is correct.
It's disappeared form my Android app as well. Not disassociated from the account -- the app doesn't seem to know it exists at all, installed or not, purchased or not. It's not there, nor am I prompted to install and/or purchase it. There's just no acknowledgement of the book at all.
It also seems to be missing from the advanced search filters for, at the very least, magic items and monsters in the Android app.
I have found two bugs in Descent Into Avernus in compendium of D&D Beyond Android application.
In Chapter 1, Elfsong Tavern, in section Taven Patrons, when I tap Map 1.2: Elfsong Taven (the DM version, not the player version) to make it bigger, it shows nothing instead of the map, or the whole application crashes.
In Chapter 1, Elfsong Tavern, in section With Friends Like These, and sub-section Treasure, when I tap the saling ship link, it shows: "Error, Unable to load item." (I have downloaded and installed DMG as a source in compendium, so that is not the case.)
Can we get a way to switch or add the Baldur's Gate Background Features to characters?
I agree! This should’ve been rolled out with the release of the adventure! And for the love of the Nine Hells, fix the background feature in the app while you’re at it!
The variant background isn't a bug, they intentionally haven't implemented it in the character builder because they currently don't have a way to select the variant in a user friendly fashion. It's possible to make either a custom background (by copying the standard one and adding the DiA details) or to add the DiA details directly to your character sheet.
You can easily add a flail to your character sheet and then customize it to change the description!
Functionally, it's still a flail, just with a cool description. 😀
I'm curious about that because the flail actually does an extra 4d6 necrotic damage - but does not state if that is the flail itself or the NPC drawing power through it. I assume that because it is not specifically a magic item, that it is due to the NPC.

The Monster that is just Zariel in the monster list is the version from Mordenkainen's Tome of foes.
Archduke Zariel of Avernus is the new version specifically made for Descent into Avernus.

The book is no longer showing up in the mobile app.
Did you get it to work? I am having a similar issue. It doesn't even show up in the app.
The contents table has two "Running this chapter" links for Chapter One, both go to the same place.

Its working fine on both of my android devices.

It was there two days ago, now nothing.
Try this.
In My Account click your profile picture, then click Customer Support and then click Download Latest Manifest and see if that helps.
OMG, sir, thank you! That worked. And I’d never have thought to click my pic to bring up the customer support tab.
This is what I want to know. The Baldur's Gate alternate features should be choosable.

I am also experiencing this issue. Cannot see the background features for things like Folk Hero or Guild Artisan or anything other than Faceless.

This is probably not a bug, but more that it was missed from the book. How are the Skull Flails not items in the database?
Master of Souls from D13 in Chapter 1, has a silvered skull flail, which seems quite awesome for a level 2 character.
Skull Lasher of Myrkul has Iron Skull Flail which does the same thing.
Couldn't find a quick way to report a typo. Minor thing, figured there'd be something on the forums for it already.
In the list of Patriars, there's a typo on the word wielding:
Rillyn runs a sword-wielkding school,
Thanks!
