just checked out the changes to mobile and ipad....awesome work! I wasnt sure if desktop on iPad was going to work and was tentative but its beautiful! very functional. I cant wait to play Saturday.
on mobile, really like the new perpetual prof, speed, init and AC. really i only need the actions page for most of my game play (non spellcaster). Well done!
editted to add: LOVE LOVE LOVE the ipad switching from mobile view (portrait) to desktop view (landscape) we can have the best of both worlds!
just a few tweaks that i know you all are working on and it will be perfect!
A minor thing, but it used to show how many attacks per Action a character got in the Combat. It would be great if that could be added back in on the Attack tab, rather than having to dig through the Features tab to remember how many a character is up to.
Now that there's a slightly more compact layout (for tablets), would it be possible for desktop users that want to have the sidebar up permanently to take advantage of this? ie. if there's room for the new tablet layout and sidebar to fit on a desktop view, can the Fixed button appear? I have a feeling if that was the case, 12.9" iPad Pro users could take advantage of Fixed sidebar layout too.

And for those of us poor slobs on 16:10 screens, to have the sidebar push the other content to the side instead of covering it up?

I like the changes that have been made, but I liked the ability scores when they were vertical and had the saving throws and modifiers attched. I also think that the Passive Perception, Investigation and Insight would be better near the HP, and Proficiency Bonus section like it used to be. That big section for Saving Throws is kind of wasted screen real estate, This would help bring it inline with most paper character sheets, which might make it a little easier for newer players that have only used paper before.
I want a search function limited to only information on my character sheet. A magnifying glass i can click to type whatever I'm thinking of (extra attack, spells by damage type, prepared spells, feats, whatever) and it will show me what mechanic allows me to use that function or idea.
I apologize if this has been mentioned before or if this doesn't belong in this thread. I have a group of adventurers that I'm trying to lead through my first campaign but have come up upon an issue that maybe could be put as a future Developer Quest should they choose to accept it. We love organizing our data through DnD Beyond but we work through pen and paper so we rely on the export to PDF function on this site. The problem we have is we skew older and the PDF's export as well as the sheets I can find online are hard for older eyes. The quest would be to develop a large font D&D sheet export option.
I know this is an incredibly niche problem and may not be easy to develop but I appreciate any input from the community or the from DnD Beyond team.
The more you give us the more we want! But you devs are doing at amazing job. I love the 'smart' way it chooses desktop or mobile view depending on the iPad orientation.

What I suggested would fix this, you'd have plenty of room for a fixed sidebar, the layout would just have to adjust to the slightly more condensed version. You can see it by making your window slightly smaller.
When exporting the character sheet to PDF, I don't see the unarmed strike attack with the other weapon attacks. I'd like to see this especially for monk characters as it's not standard in those cases. It is showing up on the web version of the character sheet however.
I like the new design. It's definitely an improvement. But I still have some feedback.
My custom wizard features are still showing up as Conjuration wizard. This is annoying.
Attunement Items at the bottom. Should be at the top.
Spells from items don't show in actions.
I still need to set up spells as attacks to have them show in the actions range.
Dragon's Breath is listed as an attack and it is, specifically, not an attack.
Would also like to see, or at least have an option to see, DMG optional actions such as Disarm.
Would also like an option to customise notes section. It happens to me often that we learn something and I don't know where to put it. I would like a "history" and/or "geography" and/or "rumors" or ability to add custom sections. At least, have the backstory at the bottom.

Haha, I was just thinking this. It's like, they go and listen to everything people are asking for, work hard to implement the best of it, and what do we do? MOAR! WE WANTS MOAR! Lol.

More builder than sheet, but we need more toggles to allow houserule useage. Specifically, I need a toggle to get rid of stat requirements for multiclassing, or to take a second class regardless my stats, because my group doesn't use that restriction.

I haven't tried this, but maybe you could temporarily boost your stats, then decrease them after you've multiclassed?

Is this a subclass you made yourself or added from a public homebrew?
My Time Domain creation was copied from the Life Domain, and apparently inherited its snippets, which were invisible until the update went live. I had to create a new version of the subclass (now pending review) to correct this. If it's a private homebrew, you might try to edit the snippets yourself.

Just tested this and yes, it works.

YEEESSSSSS. Love the updates!
Is there something we can subscribe to in order to get a changelog each time an update is rolled out?
Yes.

I agree with not covering the sheet with the sidebar. This is a problem for my smaller laptop.
