Played with this more and getting more used to the layout on the Compendium page to find information there quickly compared to finding it in my PDFs which I have some locations of items memorized now after making a few characters. I look forward to the compendium page to include all the character creation parts when the character sheet is added. I haven't really drilled into looking at everything, but haven't found any issues with what I have used so far. I know people have found things and did a good job so far reporting them in the bug report section.
Thank you for listening to all our ideas, input and fixing bugs as you have time to work that into everything going on.

What was the reason for the decision to make the tooltip things lowercase? For instance, Balor, why would you not want to capitalize the poisoned condition? It looks a little sloppy to me...

Corinos,
That issue was caused by a refactor that got deployed yesterday. I am about to deploy a fix. Thanks so much for reporting the issue!
That reminds me, can we get a sticky thread (or other forum "Help" function, possibly over at the account menu) where those little tips and how to use them are explained?
I mean, I have to look for the announcement post of the tooltip formatting to see which are available, and the actual wording (are the tags case sensitive?) Not that it's hard to find so far (first post of this thread, if memory serves?), but I imagine those things will get numerous sooner or later.
Are compendium rules linkable? I'd like that (link all the things!).
And lest we forget, awesome work so far, guys! :D
PS. Should this be in the feedback thread? Not sure - the idea came from the discussion above, but if it needs moving (or I need to make a similar post there), either do so or let me know.
Hey Onyx. I think either here or the feedback section is fine, I'm certain it'll reach our DBB overlords.
Personally I'm hesitant to add any more stickies to the beta section here as we already have so many, but you raise a very good point. We'd all benefit from some clear instructions beyond a patch notes thread in the long run - my guess is the red-names have something in mind, but they're still developing the links to cover more and more area, and will wait until their current work on them has been completed.
To answer your query, the tags aren't case sensitive, nor are their contents. Fireball - FiReBaLl
Compendium rules aren't linkable so far, but I know they want to add a lot more things to the [link] functionality. Individual conditions, such as Poisoned or Frightened, are already linked from the conditions page and they've hinted the various [actions] in combat will be in soon.
OMG, I was attempting to cast Augury to get an idea of whether D&D Beyond will be helpful when the campaign management tools are released. This one update offers a glimpse of great things to come!
A couple ideas, BTW:
Add tools on the toolbar for posting to forum that automatically add the bracket text for linking
Add a button next to spells, magic items, monsters, etc. that copy the text of that link to the clipboard. Maybe even automatically enter the bracketed text along with it?

It's already on their list, since before we knew about tool-tips.
the end goal for adding in tool-tips is to have custom plugins for the editor where you can select an item/spell/monster/etc. and it will auto insert the tag and name for you. Definitely on our list.

“It is a better world. A place where we are responsible for our actions, where we can be kind to one another because we want to and because it is the right thing to do instead of being frightened into behaving by the threat of divine punishment.” ― Oramis, Eldest by Christopher Paolini.
Thank you for your post - we appreciate people taking the time to give us feedback.
During the beta test of D&D Beyond, we'll only be including content that is freely available in the D&D 5th edition SRD and D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and will not include additional content from a Commercially Released Book or Supplement.
All of the remaining published content from the PHB, DMG, MM and other D&D 5th edition books will be added to D&D Beyond for product release - the cost for accessing this material has not yet been announced.

I have a few friends who are color blind to various hues. Blue purple, red green, etc. Each have the separate degrees of color blindness..light to severe. To address this, can I make a suggestion?
For links that will create a popup info box, use dashes - - around that type of hypertext.
For links that point to a full page of text, use underline as it would appear in most websites.
Keep the colors as they are....just need more indicators for those who see things differently than others do.
Spellcasting Drawing on the divine essence of nature itself, you can cast spells to shape that essence to your will. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the druid spell list.
If you want to denote a "hot jump" within a web page, you could use a carat ^ symbol preceding the text. ^Fighting Style, ^Second Wind

Adding a ticket in for coming up with a solution for this, as I've been worried about this issue as well. Thanks, Dolnor!
This will be a big time help when making my own homebrew once that feature is turned on.
Love love love it.
D&D Beyond is already good. :)
Keep up the good work!

This update helped a lot, congratulations
it is as good as Orb of Dragonkind
This will certainly help to separate the Commoners from the brave and the Kobold.
Nothing for feats yet?

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?
Ah, didn't know feats weren't in the SRD - it's hard to keep track of everything :P

I have a suggestion of a slightly different intent (but related to this thread)....color-blindness. http://colorvisiontesting.com/color2.htm
