The books cost money. If you're just interested in the character builder you can buy just the things you need or copy them from your Player's Handbook as private homebrew.

Stormknight's suggestion of reading the initial post is a good one. You may also find the buyers guide (see link in my signature) helpful
if I buy 3 sourcebook today for $90, how would legendary bundle price be calculated during a 25% sales. Would it do 360 - 25% - 90 = New Price eFfectivly giving me retroactive discount OR 360 - 90 - 25% = New price ignoring what I have already paid

Full Price: $360
Credit existing Content:$90
Buy: $270
let me know thank you :)
I believe both the 25% coupons that currently exist exclude the Legendary Bundle? But I may be wrong.

No the code I have is actually meat for legendary bundle is there another 25% code atm ?!? ( could be interesting until I decide on LB)
I would just like to say that I use DDB without a credit card and it would be really helpful if you guys made it so that I could donate money to a dnd account/wallet type thing and then pay from there.

You have the paypal option, tho I believe you also need a credit card or bank account for it... indeed would be nice to see amazon gift cards as an option since this is an amazon's product
So I did the calculation and with discount calculated this way you lose 25% of your already purchased credit if Legendary bundle is discount by 25%. Essentially because the credit is applied before discount you lose the 25% on that portion of the content already purchased
Hypothesis: Why not buy everything individually for 25% off, then upgrade to the Legendary Bundle for $0.00 afterwards? :D
Cause if you do the math the bundle is 360.70 including a built-in 15% discount. If you buy everything individually at 25% it wont even cover the LB cost.
if you add to the fact you can get 25% on the bundle too , the math I did confirm that if transaction stack as stated you effectivelly lose 25% if your credit worth if you convert to LB with 25% coupon as you get less credit and the coupon is calculated after.. Seems odd model to encourage upgrade
I wanted to clarify that becore I do too many ind purchase...
you only get credit for the purchase amount when applied towards the LB. thus if the book is only $20 after the discount, then that is the amount deducted, not the $29.99 of the original price.
not sure about using it on the LB itself.

I just want to tell everyone "happy gaming" and actually mean it. Whatever your game is, just have fun with it, it is after all, just a game.
Given the legendary bundle has a base 15% off, for a 25% discount to the bundle you are looking at an overall discount of approximately 35% than if you bought each part individually (presuming my math is correct).
That said you would hit the legendary bundle price maybe one or two books before and thus could simply upgrade for the full legendary bundle cost (at least that is how I understand the credit aspect).
Does make me wish we had a Sourcebook bundle (everything minus the adventures/campaigns), but such is things.

You would need to purchase the digital books on this site to have the use of all of them here

Hi there Dr_Snutze,
I'm not 100% sure, so I'll try to find out for you, but it might be Monday before there is an official answer.

I bought it that way, i got the 25% off AND what I had already paid off as well (legendary bundle crit role promo in my case)
OK, If you bought the bundle after you already bough one of the books within the bundle it goes like this.
price of the bundle - the price of the book already purchased = reduced bundle price
reduced bundle price - 25% = how much you pay
Ok so whatever you had bought if paid full price isnt getting discounted thx for clarification
