I wouldn’t want to see it because Roll20 is for more than just D&D 5e. It would dilute DDBs focus on 5e. It would also slow down development for other reasons (like integrating the two systems) and there are many features on the roadmap that I am eager for.
God I hope that never happens unless they can Nolan. He's an anchor for any company with that mouth of his. It would be better for DnDBeyond to look into a new comer like AStral Table Top, d20Pro, etc. Stay away for Roll20 liek the plague it is.

Swing as how all of their new features are building towards DDB creating their own “Virtual Play Space” (read VTT), I doubt they’ll partner up with anyone else’s.
You can use the beyond20 browser extension (chrome or firefox) to be able to use your DDB character in roll20.
Or you can wait a few years for when yet another VTT appears on the market integrated into DDB (and a VTT that is built specifically for only one game system, rather than ALL the other VTTs which support multiple game systems).
Hi,
Sorry. I'm new. But I had to ask, and I reckon others have (thus, sry), just how plausible is a merging of DNDBeyond and Roll20?
I ask because they both seem to occupy an elevated awareness in the market of gamers. If I'm not mistaken?
Just wondering. Thx! :)

Unlikely that it would happen officially, this is a good replacement though
