So they're releasing their new trilogy then?
The first book in the Dragonlance trilogy is set to be released on July 29th from what I’m seeing.

Honestly, there are little possible hints here and there for a Dragon themed book, a Dragonlance campaign or setting book, a Feywilds book, a Dark Suns campaign or setting book, or a Ravenloft book. But really, nothing is very strongly pointing at any one thing at least for me.

I would prefer a feywild book to another Tolkienesque fantasy campaign setting. Aren't Faerun and Wildemount enough?

A new dragon lance novel is likely out in July (Amazon has a place holder for it on July 29) so it would probably make more sense for DL game-related hardcover to release closer to that — maybe in August to really blow it up for gen con.
And to complicate the speculation. Tony DiTerlizzi, the original planescape artist, last spring and summer was tweeting about doing work for WotC. Doesn’t mean it was planescape art, of course.
Faerun and Wildemount aren't enough for Dragonlance fans for the same reason Faerun wasn't enough for Critical Role fans - it's not that they 'aren't enough, it's that the players would squee and eagerly spend money for a guidebook tuned to their preferred setting. As well, people without several decades of investment in Faerun will do almost anything to not have to run a game set in the horrible bloated monstrous cadaver of conflicting, unreported setting information that is Faerun. If my choices were "Run a game in Faerun" or "run no game at all and get to play nothing on game nights instead", I would take the latter choice with very little hesitation.
People uninvested in Dragonlance will get little from a DL book, the same way folks with no investment in Critical Role complained that the Wildemount book was wildly unnecessary and a waste of Wizards' time. As a big CR fan and someone who believes the Wildemount book to be one of the best 5e books Wizards has printed to date even without that CR investment, I'm willing to let the Dragonlance folks have theirs. I'll simply keep running/playing games in Exandria, Eberron, or homebrew settings while the Dragonlance folks have their time. No skin off my nose.

They've managed to keep the leaks in this time (so far, that is). Last year, almost every release was leaked through Amazon or some other source quite awhile before Wizards was planning on announcing it. I'm not sure if that's a positive or negative thing.
I'm sticking to my guess. I think it's a Volo's style monster book themed around Dragons. If it isn't coming out in this release, hopefully it will in a later one. My second guess for this slot is a Ravenloft campaign setting or adventure compilation.

I think that we will be getting Planescape in the relatively near future, but not for this release. That would have to be a later release, Planescape is too important to come out at the beginning of the year.
(I heard that he also released on Twitter some art for Planescape he was drawing. He didn't say that it was for WotC or anything, but it could point to it for a later release.)

Well that sucks. Because it was leaked and because I was hoping for a campaign setting or source book.
We just had Tasha. There was never going to be a big sourcebook with a bunch of player options this soon. It was always going to be a campaign setting or adventure.
It's a mystery adventure compilation.
"Anthology" is probably a better word than "Compilation." The latter implies they've existed before and are only now being collected.
Anthology implies the same thing.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Yeah. I mean, I'm probably going to buy it to see what I can take from it and what info of Candlekeep I can use, but it's much less exciting than a Draconomicon or Ravenloft setting.
(I had guessed that an Adventure anthology would be coming out this year, but I didn't guess that it would be in Candlekeep. I did see someone guess that it would be a Candlekeep Adventure Anthology somewhere, so I'm going to have to find them and ask them how they predicted the future.)
