Hello folks I'm not recruiting but I think there is a Need for a thread for people who really like the character they have and put allot of effort into. But was abandoned by the DM for whatever reason and whatever level and you want to continue playing this great character, instead of deleting it. You have to have a link to where you first rolled the characters stats and a link to the adventure thread also a link to the character sheet. Don't bother rolling a new character here. But edit withdrawn if you do delete it.
To the GM send a private message to the player. I hope this is a resource for replacement pc's for those who quit due to RL issues

What all would these characters do in this thread?
Would this just be some sort of interdimensional tavern where they can meet and RP? Or will you be running a full campaign with a selection of these characters?
I would guess at least one way it could be used is a means of DMs looking for players who fit well into the world they are running, and players who post here leave their character sheet links for them to look over, and message them accordingly.

Hmm. That could be an interesting means of assisting character recruitment.
Agreed. And i even have a character from a previous campaign that I would love to use, but I don't think I have access to the threads or anything, it was quite a while ago.
Heres an example and also an application send a PM if you wish to adopt her in your campaign

Name Margret Thatchhold
Level: 4
race: Variant Human
Class(es) and subclass(es): Eldritch Knight
Alignment: Neutral Good
Appearance: Blond Dressed in common clothes and breast plate
Born in WaterDeep Margret grew up to a wealthy family her mother and father provided for her well and taught their daughter to defend herself. Which earnd herself a place in the city watch. She would go out and do jobs for extra money hunting criminals for the city. She was doing well till she found out that she had a price on her head. She decided to leave Waterdeep after the third attempt on her life. Finding that traveling among caravans as a guard was a good profession for her she made the trip to Phandelver from different locations across the Sword coast. Apart from an occasional battle with monsters that inhabit the sword coast, she found being a guard boring. Till she stopped in a town and her employment ended. She found new friends adventurers Whom she decided to go with thinking "Whats the worse that could Happen......"

Well, i rolled the stats with the character i had in mind using physical dice so....no links
Name: Gibson Lemonyellow Level: 2 (though I'm happy to scale up/down as needed) Race: Tiefling Class(es) and subclass(es): Warlock (GOO) Background: Charlatan Alignment: True Neutral Appearance: https://i.imgur.com/ya63d57.png Link to the rolled stats and or list the method of rolling: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/play-by-post/84871-ghosts-of-saltmarsh-pbp?comment=3 (but I'm happy to re-roll or use another method. I'm less interested in stats and more interested in playing the character.) Backstory: Gibson Lemonyellow knows how the world works. He doesn't know any of that boring, mundane stuff like politics, war, smithery... farming... numerology... cooking... reading big words... really, anything practical... No, he has a deeper, more spiritual understanding of the forces that are really at work. These amateurs and hacks running Faerûn's temples have some idea but they're really only scratching the surface. Only Gibson holds the true and full knowledge of the ancient entity creeping along the fringes of our collective consciousness. With his self-published gospel scroll in hand, Gibson has been traveling the land to spread the good news of imminent annihilation to the continent's most vulnerable: the affluent and complacent. He's had moderate success among the latter but not so much with the former. As such, he's been on the lookout for the aristocratically gullible... erm, "nobly susceptible"... I mean, "highborn with further to fall." Shedding the shackles of one's worldly possessions in preparation for the obliteration of existence is the most freeing form of liberation imaginable and Gibson is more than happy to guide the "worthy" along this path of enlightenment. But a pure rp environment could be fun too.
Hmm. That could be an interesting means of assisting character recruitment.

A PbP tavern setting. Reminds me of the old 90s AoL RPing chat rooms where you could just sit in the “Red Dragon Inn” or similar bar and roleplay.
