Rweni fails to stifle a laugh at Trilaxa’s remark after the conversation took a serious tone moments earlier. She composes herself quickly enough, “A deity? I hope that mage in Vostland will be able to assist us somehow, though it seems making it to him is going to be part of the trial. May we rest this evening and strike out first thing tomorrow, Princess?”
Rweni dabs at her mouth after eating and picks up her glass with wine and takes a sip. “We will do our best to figure this out. I don’t know how I feel about Louise, Marry and that mysterious gentleman. But, my initial feeling is that it is not good.”
"Y... Yes you may... I will have some rooms prepared for you immediately." Eliza stammers, still in shock about the sudden appearance of the strange masked gentleman.
After dinner, you all head off to bed to sleep. Morning comes, and all of you join Eliza and the others for breakfast. After breakfast you are given 5PP(50GP) each.
There are magic shops and regular shops in this town, if you wish to do some shopping you can. Mundane items that can be found in the PHB are for sale for the PHB price As for magic items, common and uncommon items are the ones available, I will work out a price for those, o an item by item basis.
As you all are climbing into the wagon to leave, Eliza comes running up. "If you stop by the capital, and you have time, please stop by the palace and had this to the guards there." She says, handing a letter and symbol to one of you. "My mother would most surely welcome you with open arms. I have seen to it that you are fully restocked for a month long journey, about twice as much as you should need but you never no what might happen. Also, seeing as you are heading to the Vostland Mountains, I should probably tell you something. I went there once with my mother, back when she was the crown princess, the magic there is very strange. Almost as if the entire mountain range is one big magic circle." She says as the wagon goes to leave. "Be careful, and may the blessings of Sune be with all of you!" She yells, waving goodbye.
”I think so, Soloth. Maybe Princess Elizabeth’s mother has some more information to pass onto us. I’m not too keen that we are walking into a giant magic circle, as the Princess says.”
Rweni looks to Trilaxa, ”I agree with you, Trilaxa. We should definitely keep our wits about us. Hopefully, you’ll get some sense of what is going on when we start getting closer or enter the Vostland Mountains.”
She looks at the letter and seal, curious to know what’s inside it, but not daring to break the trust of a royal family, especially one that appears to be connected to Sune.
After doing some quick shopping, and saying goodbye to Elizabeth, you all set out on the road. In the wagon, you quickly check the map of the continent, the route you are taking takes you through the Capital, and around the haunted forest. The Capital is about two weeks away. The capital is the largest city in the world, it's districts showing up on world maps and individual dots. It takes about two weeks to normally traverse from one end of the city to the other. This is because most people avoid the imperial district as it has a lot of checkpoints and is difficult to enter. The imperial district is about 100 miles in diameter. By going through the imperial district you directly pass the Imperial Castle, and Palaces, the barracks of the imperial armies, the Imperial tower, where the imperial mages live, the Imperial academy, the second most famous academy in the world, the homes of the servants of ht imperial castle, and the imperial palaces. As well as some shops run directly by the imperial family. The district surrounding the first military district, unlike the other military districts, which have no wall separating them and the district they guard, this one is a small district, 5 miles in diameter. The next district is the noble district, most nobles in the empire have an estate here as the mostly spend their time in their respective regions. Knights are normally the only exception to this as they tend to spend their time in the capital in one of the military districts. The next District is the Noble's Military district, known as the second military district, it and the noble district combined make a diameter of 15 miles. The next district is the merchant district, all manner of shops are located here, from jewel smiths to information guilds, you need something you go to the merchant district. Next is the Merchant military district or the third military district, this district, combined with the merchant district has a diameter of 20 miles. Finally the residential district, this district has specially made magic paths the expedite people to the merchant district and back. but knowing exactly where those paths are is something only residents know by heart. This is the third largest district. Directly behind the 4th military district and the imperial district. together, the two districts have a 65 mile diameter, the residential being 30 miles, and the 4th military district being 35. The total diameter of the city is 205 miles of winding roads and paths. It has earned the nickname the city of labyrinths do to how hard it is to find your way unless you now exactly where to go.
((OOC- have we traveled the two weeks and are there already or we just know that it will take us that time to get there))
Rweni is amazed, looking at the map and the many districts, roads and checkpoints that make up the Capitol. “Geesh, the sheer size of this place is beyond comprehension! Who has that much gold to create such a fantastical city like this! Let’s get this letter delivered as quickly as possible. I’m not terribly keen on big cities, especially as a big group.”

You are currently traveling there.
This was just basic information about the city that everyone knows. I also forgot to add a couple things to the Imperial district, like the second largest Cathedral of Sune, is located in the imperial district, as well as all government buildings above district level. EX. The mayor of each district has their office in their district, while representatives from the districts have their offices at the city's parliament located in the Imperial district.

This City has been around for centuries, as has the Empire. As time went on and the capitol city grew, so to did it's districts. The city currently takes up more space than it needs to, allowing for easy expansion of the districts without any demolishing or excess building.
OOC: Clarification: The Vostland Mountains are past the capital city, Yes?
Sort of, once I have finished the map of the continent on Inkarnate I will send the link to the OOC chat to make this easier. I do apologize, I just really suck at making maps. The route you are taking will take you to the bottom edge of the mountains, the fastest way to do this is by going South through the capital, towards the Fang Coast, then turning north and heading towards the mountains.
"Surely quicker bypass city. Less traffic. No contacts within for information. Only cause problems going through." Andarel's statement firmly shows she has no interest in going through the city. "Expensive city living, not good for poor us passing through."
”I agree that if we can bypass the Capitol, it would be a good idea; however, I don’t know how possible it is given how large the city is overall. We can certainly look. Though, we have this letter that the Princess asked us to deliver to her mother.”
She holds up the letter tucked away on her person. ”Soloth, I suppose if you can find a way around the Capitol so we can make our way to Vostland Mountains, go for it. If it proves to timely, maybe we can find a main road that cuts through to the other side so we can press to the mountains. If we happen along the Capitol, I’ll quickly drop this letter off and we can be on our way.”
”Andarel, I’m sorry. It appears there is no quicker way to get to Vostland Mountains other than going through. We’ll try to keep it short as possible. I hear your frustration of how expensive it is and I’ll help pay where I can to ease the burden of any financial issues you may experience.”
Rweni tucks the letter back on her person as they plod forth to the Capitol.
As you all travel, you begin to realize, based on all the branching roads, just how well-traveled this one is. After half a day goes by you have already passed by three separate merchant caravans and six patrols. At night you are able to see fires in the distance from where you make camp. After a while, you eventually see the capitol, it's massive walls, adorned with ballista and anti-siege magic crystals.
I am back, and I am making the finishing touches on the map now that I have my PC again. It should be done before I go to sleep at 8 am est.
As they travel onward Andarel tucks herself down in the cart and again draws out her book, avidly scanning the pages, reading and re-reading them, very occasionally she traces some shapes on the page with her fingers or can be seen mouthing words. When caravans and other travellers pass by, the book is quickly closed and her hand slips to her sword, ready for an unfriendliness.
As the capitol draws closer, the walls looming over the surrounding landscape, Andarel check in with the others who have all been as quiet as she, "Be on watch, more thieves inside the walls than outside." Directing her next words towards Soloth, the goblin asks bluntly, "Know the way?"
Rweni looks back at Andarel tucked in the cart looking over her book.
”What kind of book do you have there, Andarel? You’re very focused on it.” Rweni looks to help break the silence on the long journey towards the capitol. She turns to the front to see the walls looming over their cart. ”Certainly a good idea, Andarel. We’ll definitely keep watch. I’ve never been here before so I’m not sure what to expect; however, I should hope it is not hostile.”
Rweni watches as the cart draws nearer and she keeps an eye out for a checkpoint or guard station they can ask for directions.
