"I think this is a matter for the authorities, right?" Celeste says. She didn't want to get wrapped up in something like this. It might be bad for her image. Then again, if she could be a hero, it could be beneficial.
"This dwarf looks like he's some kind of nobility. Does he have a signet ring or some other identifying features?" In for a penny, in for a pound, as they say. Celeste looked over the body, looking to see if anything could identify him.

Neither Screechirck nor Leif see any signs of someone fleeing the scene.
However, as everyone is considering what to do with the matter at hand, three men wearing gold filigreed armour approach the group. Looking down the alley they see the dead body and the people gathered.
"Stay where you are!" demands the leader of the trio, as they ready their weapons.

Having found nothing, Screechirk descends to the ground and kneels (prone) in an effort to alleviate any tension from another person approaching. "I couldn't find anyone fleeing the scene." He turns to Leif, "Did you fare better?" He waits for someone else to address to address the guards.
With that, the leader of the three men gestures with his hand, and they lower their weapons.
At that moment, a tall elf woman wearing a sumptuous gown appears at the mouth of the alley, shaking her head. “Jacopo, you fool, I hope your last March of Vice was worth it.”

He turns to Leif and Shadow, "I must admit solving a murder wasn't in my initial plans when coming to Zinda. But there's good work to be done here. I'm interested in taking the lady up on her offer. How about you two?"
The three members of the Silent Verse leave before the woman can actually fire them.
"Well, if you three are interested, then allow me to introduce myself," the woman replies. "I am Madame Samira Arah, the newest member of the ruling council, here in Zinda, the Kings of Coin. Although, I really think we should change the name."
She sighs before continuing.
"Anyway, if you wouldn't mind following me, I don't like talk business out here in the open. I much prefer to talk over some jeli wine."

Glass's search reveals no more information.
After following Madame Samira Arah, she leads the group to a café at the edge of the city's central market. Once inside she orders jeli wine for everyone before heading to a private room.
"The man you found dead in the alleyway was Jacopo Ain. The eldest son of King of Coin, Massimo Ain. He was supposed to be under protective guard after an attack against another family. However, gave his guards the slip. Probably to enjoy the festivities of the March of Vice,"Madame Samira explains. "As you can see, it did not end well for the poor dwarf.
Do you have any questions so far?"

Leif smells the jeli wine, although it smells fine he declines to consume, rather he finishes his pipe and blows a cobra smoke snake…. “I would like descriptions of this rival family and the guards Jacopo gave the slip, they are highly suspect in this murder investigation.”
"In addition to Leif's questions, I have to ask if Jacopo had any friends amongst the common people that he may have been going to join the festivities with. Possible contacts that may not have been as friendly as he thought." says Screechirk. He takes a sip of the jeli wine. "Good stuff."
"Unfortunately, I did not personally know Jacopo, and had very little dealings with him,"Samira responds. "It is his father that is the King of Coin, as I said. Of course, I did run into him on occasion, he was nice enough, I suppose.
As for your suspects, I want you to speak with Zenia Ruba, the eldest daughter of King of Coin Myx Nargis Ruba. She was attacked last night and was nearly killed. She might have a description of her attacker. I can't say for sure yet whether that attacker is the one who killed Jacopo, but I fear it might be the same one.
In exchange for speaking with Zenia, I am willing to pay you two hundred gold pieces each. Although, I will request that you keep Zenia's attack and Jacopo's death a secret. The Kings of Coin have already taken steps to keep Zenia's attack quiet so as not to disturb the festivities."

Telepathically Leif responds to Screechirk, No I saw nobody fleeing or skulking the scene.
”We are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Though this looks to have happened recently.” Leif says to the officers, proclaiming innocence.
