Let’s just keep our eyes open and hope to avoid these creatures
Eiren nods and draws his bow. He then sends Qu’oth up into the air and uses their bond to see through the raven’s eyes, looking for any signs of imminent danger.
Eiren’s eyes go milky white, unseeing, for several seconds.
(Qu'oth can help with nature, right? It's a raven, so I assume it knows nature things.)
(Good question...although Qu’oth is technically a fey. DM, can Qu’oth help with skills like Survival or Nature?)
He can't help with such checks, but if you want him to he can make his own checks. He can definitely make Perception checks and at least while the party is in the Forests of Slaughter, He can make the Perception checks with advantage.
Qu'oth sees two Hook Horrors hanging from the cliff like walls. Neither of them seem to have spotted the party. Behind the 2nd one Qu'oth can see what looks like a nest in a grassy mound.
Anyone have a way to obscure us or should we try to sneak by? No reason to fight if we can avoid it. I could drop darkness on one if someone else could somehow hide the other maybe?

Velmine shows a little smile and responds. "Well, and I could drop the same kind of darkness in the other... I know some our friends won't even be bothered by it, so they can easily keep a tab on them if either decides to attack."
She then thinks about the spell for a second, when one sudden thought hits her mind. "Just wanted to ask... You sure that'll work? The creatures are from the underdark, isn't that what Baik said? How would blinding them with darkness work? Aren't there any chances they're used to it or something?"
After reverting to his own eyesight and pointing out the two hook horrors and nest, Eiren says quietly, “We have the drop on them. Cast darkness and it will obscure our exit, plus they’ll eventually just find their way out.”
Eiren readies a double-arrow shot at the further monster (H1). “On my mark, we hit that one hard, before the second one has a chance to react.”
“Good point,” Eiren says to Vermine. “Echolocation.” (Assuming that a ninth level Shadar-Kai might know this)
”I’ll have Qu’oth make a distraction for the second one. Don’t be alarmed at the sound.”
Eiren ducks down and tries to remain unseen and quiet as possible, while mentally commanding Qu’oth to get ready to mimic the hissing sound of the helmed horror they encountered several minutes earlier.
I'll allow Eiren the knowledge about echolocation this time. (But there starts to be a pattern of monster look-up and using there weaknesses against them, I will have to do something)
Everyone can make an Surprise Round and then roll Initiatives.
Tallis stares across the clearing to the hooked horrors indicated by the others, "If someone can give me some cover, I can take them out. My Lady and I are good at taking out things that live in the dark."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Hey, you said I could share that with the party! No one looked up anything in the past yet! not that I know of.) Baik will ready a create campfire on H2 for Eiren's signal. (4 damage) Ok, what do you suggest we get rid of these things with? Fire? Sneaking past them? Just nod, and that one will burn.

Does anyone else what to see if you can see anything before you march onwards?

Yes, if you decide to attack this will be a Surprise Round for the party. If you decide to run away or sneak past don't attack.

Yes the Forests are dim light, and VanderLegion is right about the echolocation vs Darkvision.
