"I was designated as navigator by Santa's council of Elves when I was just a child. We all take aptitude tests, to see what job best suits each of us. Anyway, with these weather conditions, it should only take us about half a day's sailing to get to the Junction. Then you will have to go underwater..."
x nods his head a bit having stayed a bit more silent looking around the ship, he couldn’t help but feel a bit proud of what he did, this emotional felt new, and it felt good. “Yes, I am ready to depart”

Achieving consensus, Tam nods to the navigator and then to Captain X, "Let's be off then."
She stows the nav tools and heads to the front of the ship to take in the sights and sounds of this new and exciting plane. How far she had come and how far away her old life seemed at the moment. Safer than she had been in some time, she throws Tori a full-fledged cheesy grin and basked in the moment awhile.
The Christmas Carrier departs, with the Gnomish crew unfurling the sails, and singing Sea Shanties the whole way. Nothing happens throughout the half day's voyage. The ship heads North, and as the multiple Suns slowly start to set, rays of light pear down from the skies, illuminating the Waters. The Navigator looks astonished. "Aah, the Sea of Lights! Never gets old..." Eventually, Tam and the Navigator figure out they have arrived at the right spot. Down below the Water, Tori can see an even bigger City, stretching far across the Sea Ground. Brilliant lights shine from the depths, causing even the Sailors to be able to see them. One of them exclaims "This most be the Citadel of Ten Thousand Pearls! I've only heard legends about it!"
Elwin reached up to place a hand on X's shoulder to grab his attention.
"Comrade! I don't have much time, but it appears I won't be able to help you guys out any further."
His voice was hushed--he wasn't trying to alert the entire crew to his departure--but hurried as well.
"I'm... beholden to a patron, and apparently he has need of me elsewhere. He didn't say much else, but I'm to leave immediately. Please let the others know for me."
He hesitated a second, unsure how to conclude properly in the seconds he had remaining. "Well... farewell!"
He'd wanted at least a handshake, but before he could even reach out, he quietly disappeared in a subtle burst of glowing white motes that quickly faded.
As Elwin disappears, X, Tam and Tori are left on the ship, staring down into the water at the Citadel of Ten Thousand Pearls, where the planar passage to Thanicles' prison lies...
Torment walks to the edge of the deck and strokes the Plesiosaur's head, whispering softly in its ear. The head dips down into the waves before rising again with a mouthful of water. It spits it all over the deck with a mischievous sparkle in its eye, giving a short groaning roar when the deed is done.
Tori steps into the wide puddle and pulls her chain from within her frock, closing her eyes. The unicorn amulet begins to glow slightly as she holds it in her clutches and begins to meditate.
After several minutes, her eyes flicker open and she smiles, looking towards the sky and letting her arms fly wide open.
"Ake siphefumulele amanzi aleli lizwe elixakile!" she shouts in Druidic.
Water Breathing (as a ritual, no concentration required)
This spell grants up to ten willing creatures you can see within range the ability to breathe underwater until the spell ends (24 hours). Affected creatures also retain their normal mode of respiration.
As the final word departs her lips, the puddles around her begins to bubble and swirl, tendrils of water licking around her heels. She begins laughing cheerily and her eyes burst into tall, bright green flames. The waters wrap around her in a tight spiral, reaching higher and higher until they find her face. With a splash the flames are extinguished and a glob of water leaps down her throat.
She coughs once, gasping and gagging, then wheezes in a long, labored breath which slowly clears. Turning to X and Tam, she smiles.
"That wasn't so bad. Step into the puddle let the waters caress you as well before we go diving."
She turns and leaps onto the Dinosaur's neck, sliding down to its back."We'd best hurry if we're going to ride this baby down to the city. Its time in this plane is growing short."
If you'll allow it, we'd all benefit from the dino's 80 foot dash speed. Not sure how much longer is left in his hour though... 30 min?
Tam looks at X and then at the water, "She does appreciate a good swallow."
Then with a wink, she steps into the water. As it slowly curls around her legs and body, she anticipates it entering her mouth. At the last moment, she sucks it in before it can leap. Taking in as much as she can, she finishes with a swipe of her mouth and glint in her eye, "I knew that army training would come in handy someday."
Tam turns to the crew and suddenly straightens up and salutes them, "Crew of the Christmas Carrier, it has been a pleasure serving with you! If we are to part ways, it may be for the last time. You serve with distinction and I am honored to have blasted those bastards all to hell alongside ya." Finishing with a solid flourish, she nods in thanks to the navigator and then at X before donning her swim gear and jumping onto the dinosaur's back.
The crew of the Christmas Carrier cheers loudly as Tam jumps into the water with Tori. Both of them can now see the Citadel of Ten Thousand Pearls deep below them. The Main Palace seems to be the primary source of glittering, as it is indeed completely covered in shiny pearls, but the rest of the City offers a stunning display of multicolored aquatic plants and corral, as well as ancient stone buildings and statues. Merfolk swim around in the thousands, using all sorts of creatures as mounts, and beasts of burden.
Tam's Interplanar navigation tools seem to point towards the very center of the City, in the middle of a crowded commercial Avenue, where Merfolk merchants display their wares.
As the Warforged jumps off the boat, the Crew all line up, and raise their arms, crossing them to make an X.
The Navigator, who seems to naturally take command, shouts:
"Officer off deck! For Captain X, Hip Hip! Hurrah!"
The Crewmen all respond enthusiastically:
"Hip Hip! Hurrah!"
As the Party dives into the depths of the Ocean, riding the Plesiosaurus (still just about 30min left), the Christmas Carrier becomes a blurry shape, shrinking in size as the "Black Chicken Faction" goes deeper and deeper, heading towards the Citadel.
As they reach a depth of approximately 200 feet, 5 chariots pulled by Hammerhead Sharks and driven by Trident wielding Merfolk zoom up from the Citadel, and start circling around the Party.
They start shouting in Aquan (same language as the Spa)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Torment reins in the Plesiosaur to a hault and shrugs to the others. "Anybody speak fish, or should we just skip it and have Halibut for lunch today?"
She gives the dinosaur a reassurign scratch on the neck and waves at the town guards. Making a talk-talk guesture with her hands and shrugging again. "Any chance you guys speak common?" she repeats the question again in Draconic, Druidic, Infernal and Undercommon looking for any sort of understanding from them.
Insight Check to try and see what they are thinking. 16 Continuing to keep the Sentinel shieldat the ready for enhanced perception.
Stretching and yawning, Torment saunters over and lays an elbow on Tam's shoulder, waiting for the gnome's reply.
The Plesiosaurus, feeling left out, extends its neck up over the deck and drops its large chin on Tori's shoulder like a big, scaly horse.

Tori is pretty sure the Merfolk soldiers said something along the lines of "Halt! What are you doing here?"
They also seem quite unnerved at the sight of the Plesiosaurus...
Tori may gain advantage on Intimidation rolls if she wishes. They definitely fear the big water Dino...
