Ah, ok. Any estimates on when it's going to be done?
FYI, from page 1.
RELEASE NOTES
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything offers many new subclasses, updates for the Artificer, as well as optional features for all of the classes from the Player's Handbook. You can now customize the origin for your character, to change around proficiencies and ability score bonuses. To top it off, there's new feats, spells, magic items and more!
Please bear with us as we get everything deployed! Any questions on this thread along the lines of, "When is <feature x> going live?" will be deleted, as will questions that are already answered in this post.(emphasis mine) We need to be able to spot and respond to reports of issues. Many thanks for your understanding.
Fair, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating when we're essentially paying to beta test. This release I've run in to so many more issues than those past

Fair, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating when we're essentially paying to beta test. This release I've run in to so many more issues than those past
I sympathize with the frustration (I use one of these summoning spells frequently and the current system is indeed cumbersome), but if they did release an ETA and then couldn't meet the date due to unexpected difficulties, folks would say we're essentially paying to be lied to or paying to not have a system at all. The DDB team has been putting out a fairly consistent stream of updates with new features; let's extend some grace, and keep in mind that they weren't given much of a heads up regarding Tasha's upcoming content.

Fair, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating when we're essentially paying to beta test. This release I've run in to so many more issues than those past
I totally understand the frustration. But please keep in mind TCoE is a sourcebook that delivered a heap of additional systems and created massive changes to existing ones. There is more new ways of calculating things (scaling stat blocks being a first for example) in Tasha's than any other book. The team have been working on these and had to prioritize what could be delivered at release vs. ongoing.
Is that the plan going forward? If I don't buy some esoteric content and then later that content is published in a core book, I can expect not to receive the content that I thought I was buying?
Just to clarify, is this DDB policy going forward? Content is published in some esoteric source, which I choose not to buy. Later, content is published in a more core source. I purchase that source and do not receive all of the contents that I thought I was buying? I just want to be very clear on this. In other words, can I ever trust that you will provide what the source content includes? Ever?
I fully understand things like additional spells available to a class but those spells are not actually printed in the source. But things that are explicitly fully included?

I'm not really sure what this is a response to, since you didn't quote the post, but if you purchase TCoE, you get everything that's included in it, regardless of where else it appears.
just to confirm - when purchasing a sourcebook on D&D Beyond, it grants all of the content that is within it, including when that content is a reprint from previous sourcebooks.

Yes, Wizards didn't give them a ton of notice, I get that. But what I saw was a lot of hype, buy buy buy, and I didn't see anything letting us know it might not actually be ready for use. That the buyers would be helping them find the issues and bugs on a larger scale because of the time window. Are there certain issues getting priority to resolve because they will have maximum impact? Is there a team working on each issue? If I know the items that aren't working for me aren't on a priority list I can figure out a workaround to use it on the D&D sheet or maybe choose not to go that path until later. This would be helpful information and not lock them into a time table

Actually by telling you exactly what the priority list is it DOES lock them into a time table because if something is high priority and then half way through "There be Dargons" appears it might get bumped down the list so something that can be finished more easily, aka have more of the book functional, is completed.
So then people see the focus shift and do the exact same thing that people are complaining about now. Complain it got moved down, complain DDB failed to deliver, complain they did not deliver on time. DDB still has no time table or priority list and people believe that DDB is failing to deliver. Do you really believe having a public list that changes constantly is going to do the Devs any good?
Anyone else notice that the Soulknife's Psychic Blades ability is currently coded as a ranged attack rather than a melee attack with the thrown property? This makes it function with the archery fighting style rather than the thrown weapon or dueling fighting styles as presumably it should.
Though the +2 to hit is obviously better so if they want to make that official i'm just as happy. :P
I selected the Fey Touched feat. But the spell "Dissonant Whispers" I selected does not appear in amongst my spells. I tried this with a few other spells as well. Even though the feat states that you learn both Misty Step and the spell you selected. I learned "Misty Step" as part of this feat, so that is working intentionally, but I am not able to use spell slots to cast "Dissonant Whispers"

It doesn't appear on your sheet at all or it just doesn't have a 'Cast' button? Does it show up but with a 'Use' button?
The former is intentional, you just mark off a spell slot yourself when you cast it more than once per long rest.
I just tried myself, and both Misty Step and Dissonant Whispers show up under spells (not under Manage Spells obviously).

Do you own the PHB here or is it being shared with you via content sharing? Misty Step is available for free here because it is part of the Basic Rules/SRD. Dissonant Whispers requires a purchase. Fortunately, you can purchase just that spell and not the whole PHB if you would prefer.
Customized Origins - Half-Elves. Both Wood Half-Elf and High Half-Elf required some kinda complex logic to deal with providing the correct options for replacing their Elven Weapon Training racial feature, which was in itself an optional feature for the Half-Elf. This has been completed and tested. You can now create a character that is a Wood Half-Elf, then select the Origin Customization, followed by choosing "Elven Weapon Training" then selecting the weapons/tools you would like instead of the standard longsword, shortsword, longbow, shortbow.
There is no option for this at all. The only replacement traits that show up are ASI and languages.

Yeah, I'm not seeing this either. The reference to "Origin Customization" is a bit odd, as it's not an exact fit for any toggle/tab/feature. I presume it is referencing the "Customize Your Origin" tab on the home page of the builder, but it's not precisely clear.

The spells show up with the "use" button. Not under manage spells, and not with the possibility to use with spell slots, as other spells. As the text states that you "learn" the spells I thought they would need to be prepared like the rest.

Hey there -
This should be fixed now, and the option should appear under the Origin Manager (though you will likely need to refresh once it's been checked off so that the actual options appear).

There currently seems to be no way to retrain psionic spells in the character sheet for the aberrant mind sorcerer. The retraining mechanic is one of the biggest draws to the subclass, but as it stands the only way to reflect it in the sheet is to customize, rename, and put a link to the spell you want to replace it with. Can we fix that?
Aberrant Mind - Psionic Spells. We don't currently have a method to allow swapping these spells out. We are looking at solutions for this. "Whenever you gain a sorcerer level, you can replace one spell you gained from this feature with another spell of the same level. The new spell must be a divination or an enchantment spell from the sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell list."
Clockwork Soul - Clockwork Spell. See Psionic Spells above.
Would be super easy to fix with a litte change to spell granting attribute in the dndbeyond system.
When you add the granted spell. instead of granting the spell directly, in the seetings (where you can limit the granted spell by name, spell level, class etc.) you would have to add a box for "school", then you can just add "enchantment" and "diviniation" in addition to the spell level and when a player first gains the level, you select the spell manualy from the now generated list. That way you can easily swap spells later too.
