Hello! I am trying to follow the directions in this post to allow my player's third maneuver and extra superiority die to show up on his character sheet. However, when I search for "Martial Adept" in the Feat Template options, it's not there. In fact, there's only about 15-20 feats in the list, beginning with Aberrant Dragonmark and ending with Wood Elf Magic. I have a premium subscription and between myself and my players, we own the Sourcebook bundle (I also personally own the Player's Handbook as well). I have turned Content Sharing off and on again, and have tried force-refreshing my browser several times as well.
Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks in advance!
You can only use materials you personally own as templates for homebrew. As that feat is in Tasha’s Cauldron, you would need to own that feat or that book here on DDB to use it as a template for homebrew.
i checked the post you looked at, and It litterally says that you should'nt be using the feat to do that anyway, because it does not currently work.
I didn't read it that way. I know there's currently no functionality for it in DnD Beyond by default, but that post seemed to be a workaround for that limitation. Can you explain to me what the tutorial is for, then?
Sorry, I got Martial Adept and Fighting Initiate confuzzled.
Just because your player has across to it and you have it shared with you, that is not enough to access anything in the homebrewer.
That's disappointing, considering we all pitched in to pay for it. However, I mentioned in the main post that I do also personally own the Player's Handbook, and I am still only seeing a small amount of available Feats in the dropdown.
Thank you for this! They were not in sync. But also, you were correct, I apparently don't know the PHB. I checked my emails and realized that was a book I had refunded because my friend already owned it and I didn't know of this particular limitation. So I'll have to figure that out. Do you know, if I ask my friend to create a homebrew item, will that automatically be shared with our campaign, or do they need to share it to the community and have me add it that way? Thanks for your time!
You might add something to your FAQ about official content sharing is allowed in campaigns with content sharing enabled, but using official sources to make a copy for homebrew purposes, you have to have purchased that content.

Tasha's is owned by one of my players in a campaign which has content sharing enabled - that doesn't count?
Also, according to this page, the feat is from the Player's Handbook. Is this incorrect? https://www.dndbeyond.com/feats/martial-adept
