(@MuggsHill: That second damage roll was calculated as if the attack roll had been a crit. The actual damage is 28, not 33. Also, as mentioned in the OOC Chat, it indeed takes an action to slurp up a potion.)
Concluding that Gar might be able to call on more undead soldiers than previously expected, Bubbles tells his companions to go onward while he plans to stay back and thin the herd. Pointing Last Rites at the injured sailor first, the barbarian makes quick work of it as well as the sailor who is closest to Barnacle and Undertow. (Undead Sailor #3 takes 37 magical piercing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED; Undead Sailor #9 takes 49 magical piercing damage and is DEFEATED.)
Despite his precarious situation, Gulp is putting the work in. His one free hand reaches for his adamantine dagger and throws it in Gar's direction. The projectile passes right though another of Gar's illusory image, forcing it to disappear.
Gulp tries to repeat the feat with his last accessible dagger but that one lands on the sandy floor harmlessly.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Undertow partially defies Bubbles' suggestion by asking RIptide to attack Gar on his behalf while remaining nearby to help out with the undead. Riptide tries but fails to grasp Gar with one of its tentacles, but the aquatic ranger himself is more accurate with his attacks. Moving to reach the nearest sailor {AI-30}, Undertow introduces Shoreseeker to it. The two pokes severely weaken the foe but it still stands. (Undead Sailor #6 takes 24 magical piercing damage.)
LEGENDARY ACTION
Gar retaliates against the party's mascot, this time by squeezing his enormous crab-claw appendage:
The octopus' wounds start to mount up. (Riptide takes 12 magical bludgeoning damage.)
(Shanty's turn is still up. He is restrained but can take an action to make a {DC 18} Athletics or Acrobatics check to free himself. He is also in melee with one of the undead sailors.)

Shanty notices that one of the undead sailors is approaching and tries to escape his precarious condition. He manages to move an inch, maybe two, but remains very much still within the grasp of the nearby coral cluster.
With a large smile on his face, Gar provokes the locathah: "Mighty courageous of you, sending an octopus to face me in combat while you yourselves are afraid of approaching." He attacks Riptide repeatedly, as to add insult to injury:
The octopus is squished and punctured and begins to squirm about while still being grappled and restrained. (Riptide takes 22 magical piercing and bludgeoning damage.)
(Sandlot and Barnacle are up next. They are both restrained but can take an action on their turns to make a {DC 18} Athletics or Acrobatics check to free themselves.)
"Talk much, that one does.... And true it is, they are loud... But who fled from who at the start when battle was joined, hm?" Sandlot raspy admonishment is only that much so from the constricting coral. Yet, he held firm in looking sternly at Gar, daring him to deny the claim. "See now, I do.... why that sea witch... chose you...." He chuckled with an uncharacteristic malice to his tone. "A coward... only capable of striking the weak, you are....One who shall not harm the Lady's children further...."
With that, Sandlot would began chanting in aquan, channeling the power of Eldath. A light steadily builds in intensity as it pours from the cracked open lid of the old Locathah's symbol. Then, suddenly in a flash of light, a pulse of energy goes out like an underwater current, harmlessly passing through the leaving, but would push against the corrupting essence of the dead.
Though, if only but one yet stood close enough after the sever beat down from his fellow Locathah, then the chanting continues, if only to strengthen Sandlot spiritual in trying to pull free from his entanglement. Even once freed, the chanting only continues as he swam closer to conjure, holding out the box to Riptide. Almost immediately after, the water churns and bubbles about Ritide, gathering into one great and deceptively protective bubble about the beast.
Action: Channel Divinity - Turn Undead on all Undead within 30ft of Sandlot. Wis Save(DC 15).

The soldier in Barnacle is glad to have some instructions to follow. He nods at Bubbles, flexes his muscles to break the coral arm holding him in place, and swims forward. The fighter also names his enchanted trident in the process of delivering a retort to Gar's provocation.

"Fled?" Gar responds. "You know little of tactics if you think I am fleeing."Sandlot only half hears the response, as he is already focused in bringing Eldath's light to turn the undead sailors away. Two out of the three sailors in range wiggle in corrupted pain, but one of them remains unaffected. (They'll move on their turn.) Whatever hopes Sandlot had of destroying these sailors with this effect proves to be unfounded. The necromancy fueling these sailors seems to be stronger than that.
LEGENDARY ACTION
Gar punctuates his latest response with another crunch of his claw:
The octopus slumps with only the minimal amount of life still in it. A second later, the octopus succumbs to its injuries. (Riptide takes 9 magical bludgeoning damage and is unconscious, incapacitated, and prone.)
Edit: I forgot that Riptide's HP was initially misstated. It should be down as of Gar's turn. In order to avoid being unfair toward decisions taken since then by Barnacle and Sandlot, I'll say instead that this claw attack above is what takes Riptide down.
The octopus is crushed even further before Gar is satisfied and releases the beast. All the accumulated damage has also crushed the coral imprisoning Riptide (he is no longer restrained as of being released by Gar) but vast damage has been dealt. (Riptide suffers 2 DEATH save fails.)
Amble approaches a still restrainedSandlot and says: "Go forth unhindered and help your companions." The tortle casts Freedom of Movement on Sandlot, who instantly feels it would be much easier to slip out of the coral restraints.
-> Rusted Longsword vs. Shanty: Attack: 19Damage: 11 (This attack roll is reduced to just 13 due to Cutting Words, causing the attack to miss - reference. The saving throw below still applies due to the first attack hitting.)
-> Shanty's CON saving throw {DC 12}: 7
Unable to move or defend himself, Shanty is not only slashed across the torso and arm but also feels his concentration on the Hypnotic Pattern dropping. On the other end of the battlefield, Shaolar regains his faculties. Furthermore, Shanty also feels a strange warmth to this new wound. Although he doesn't feel anything other than that, the feeling is still a bit disconcerting. When the second attack comes in, Shanty screams melodically and disturbs the assailant's aim. (Shanty takes 7 slashing damage.)
LEGENDARY ACTION
Noticing that Shaolar has been wakened from his stupor, Gar rapidly swims to {Z-18}.

Undertow sees Sandlot send out a powerful water current toward the undead and notes that their retreat was forced by the cleric. Not wanting to intervene with this surprise source of relief, the underwater ranger allows the nearby sailor to move away.
Lost in the heat of battle, Bubbles does not waste a golden opportunity like this. The same sailor Undertow just ignored gets skewered a second later by the barbarian. (Undead Sailor #6 takes 28 magical piercing damage and is DEFEATED.
The entire area begins to rumble once more. From shipwreck and coral clusters in the vicinity, as well as from underneath the sandy bottom, coral arms shoot out and attempt to restrain each and every one of Gar's foes who are not already restrained:
The trick was completely expected this time around. Barnacle, Undertow, and Bubbles bat at the growing coral with their weapons, halting its approach. Sandlot is protected by Amble's magic, while the tortle simply turns to let the coral hit their hard shell harmlessly. Riptide is the only defenseless one at the moment, becoming restrained once more. Additionally, Gulp and Shanty had already previously been locked in place.
(Bubbles, Gulp, Shanty, and Undertow are up next. Both Gulp and Shanty are restrained but can take an action on their turns to make a {DC 18} athletics or acrobatics check to free themselves. Riptide needs to roll a DEATH saving throw before Undertow can take any action in their joint turn. Gulp can try a {DC 15} sleight of hand check to see if he can reach into his backpack for that third dagger and then perform a single attack at disadvantage.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bubbles takes a moment to find the last of the undead sailors amongst the rest of the now unmoving corpses before once again hefting his aptly named weapon and striking twice in quick succession to send the final sailor to a final resting place.

Shaolar is still under the effects of Hypnotic Pattern and can, therefore, do very little. The genasi has been out of most of this fight.
LEGENDARY ACTION
Gar closes his claw even tighter, reveling on destroying this "simple" beast:
-> Claw vs. Riptide: Attack: 28 Damage: 10

One sailor remains engaged with Bubbles and attacks the barbarian. A fourth sailor engages a restrained Shanty:
-> Rusted Longsword vs. Bubbles: Attack: 20 Damage: 6
-> Rusted Longsword vs. Bubbles: Attack: 23 Damage: 4
Bubbles mostly shrugs off a pair of new cuts. (Bubbles takes 5 slashing damage, already halved.)

-> Rusted Longsword vs. Shanty: Attack: 19
